We arrived after a short flight from London to Naples and then journeyed across from Naples to Ischia on the hydrofoil - generally short transfers but it was lovely having such a warm greeting by the hotel with refreshments immediately offered.||The room was made up relatively quickly and we had a chance to rest by the pool before being taken to be reunited with the luggage. The room was quaint, air conditioned and all in good working order (we did have one issue with the AC during our stay but this was resolved pronto by the hotel staff who are very responsive to any requests and utilise WhatsApp to achieve this as did our travel rep). The room felt private with a good sized sun terrace and was visited by staff a few times during the day to clean, fill up the drinks and do a turn down service in the evening.||No request seemed too much for the staff and the service was certainly outstanding in arranging trips, navigating Ischia, all having great knowledge of the area and of food.||The grounds are lush, impeccably maintained and are stepped into the hillside with some lovely ocean views.||Food & drink in the hotel was excellent with an amazing selection and fine ingredients most being sourced locally or from their own gardens. Dishes were beautifully presented and different menus throughout the week. We ate primarily in Corbezzolo which was a la carte and included in our room rate and really did not need to eat anywhere else as we just worked our way through the menu. ||We did however dine in the vegan/vegetarian restaurant Il Mirto and did their 7 course tasting menu (which was more like 10 courses). This was fine dining in such a relaxing setting and it is recommended to try, if just for the experience. Much of what is eaten is grown in the grounds of the hotel.||The pool and spa are both centrally located, the spa offering a good menu of treatments. ||Finally, despite being situated on top of a hill, it is a short taxi ride to most of the island towns and villages on the north side of the island. San Montano and Lacco Ameno are 15 min walking distance if you are reasonably able to walk up some steep but safe roads and worthwhile visiting for a couple of hours. Forio is a nice nearby town with harbour and beach, a short taxi ride and lots of places to lunch, dine out or shop for souvenirs and trendier items.||We did a day trip to Procida which you could also do in a half day and not eat up to much into your stay - the hotel helped find a local, reasonably priced company which turned out to be an amazing boat trip to the sister island of Ischia.||So in summary - first class service with a smile in a corner of paradise. Will be returning home tomorrow a very happy and relaxed customer.

I spent a wonderful five nights at Botania Relias & Spa and I can't recommend it highly enough. This place truly is an oasis of greenery and tranquility - exactly what I needed for a peaceful getaway. What makes this hotel special are the countless little private hideaways scattered throughout the property. I loved discovering the outdoor cabana beds charming benches tucked into quiet corners and even swings where you can just sit and breathe. It's like having your own secret Garden with multiple spots to find your perfect moment of Zen. The staff were incredibly accommodating and hospitable throughout my stay. They really made me feel welcomed and cared for. The food was another highlight, the nuance of flavours and artistry in each dish was remarkable. The 3 day a week Yoga sessions with Luisa were absolutely fantastic too. The live music was also top notch - an unexpected welcomed addition to my experience. The proximity to the thermal baths was the perfect bonus, making it so convenient to enjoy the full wellness experience without hassle. If your looking for a high quality place to truly replenish your vitality and find some peace, Botania Relais and Spa is absolutely ideal. I will definitely be back.

Our stay at Botania was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like part of the family. Anything that we requested was met with ease, such as transfers, reservations & recommendations. Our room was gorgeous, the bedding perfect (I haven’t slept that good even in my own bed), the food for breakfast, lunch & dinner was divine. Norma’s served the best meatballs I’ve had in my life!! Highly recommend Botania.

A lovely hotel with beautiful, peaceful gardens. The staff were all pleasant and helpful, the rooms lovely (all different) and restaurants very good. The pool was blissful - loved the double Sun loungers and plenty of space and available beds. We ate in the main restaurant (very good and personable staff make recommendations if you wish and at the amazing vegetarian/ vegan Il Mirto. The chef in the latter is very talented and came up with some surprising dishes - all fabulous. Even my carnivore husband thoroughly enjoyed it. You are made to feel special as they only take a few bookings each night and talk you through all the dishes. They grow lots of herbs and vegetables themselves which are used in the dishes. |There is a hotel shuttle that will take you into town/ the port for a boat trip/ botanical gardens and they have a customer relations to help with trips, local, restaurants etc. |I would be very happy to return to Botania Relais and Spa and Ischia as it’s a lovely island.

Botanis is a stunning hotel with beautiful gardens and it’s in a great location on the island. The staff , rooms, food and decor were perfect. We had the most relaxing stay and could not fault a thing. It was way beyond our expectations. Close to the beach and thermal spas. Great restaurants and amazing pool. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend Botanis .

From the moment we arrived, we knew we’d discovered something special. While the property isn’t situated directly on the beach, that turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Nestled among vibrant gardens and lush greenery, the setting felt peaceful, secluded, and refreshingly different from the typical beachfront resort experience. If you do want some sand and sea, a beautiful beach is just a short five-minute stroll away—easy and convenient. But honestly, we found ourselves completely enchanted by the grounds. The landscaping is stunning, the atmosphere is serene, and everything feels thoughtfully curated. One of the standout aspects of our stay was the staff. Every person we interacted with was genuinely kind, attentive, and committed to making our experience memorable. It’s rare to come across such consistently warm and detail-oriented service. The food was fresh and clean, the ambiance was calming, and every moment felt like a breath of fresh air. We’re leaving with full hearts and already dreaming of our return. This has, without question, become one of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Unforgettable 5-Star Experience at Botania Relais|From the moment we arrived at Botania Relais in Ischia, we were blown away by the service, the beauty of the property, and the overall experience. The estate is expansive, immaculately maintained, and surrounded by lush flora that creates a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere. It truly feels like a hidden paradise.|What really sets this place apart is the concierge service—honestly, the best I’ve ever experienced. Martin and Claudia were the best!!! Upon check-in, we were given a WhatsApp number to contact the concierge directly, and from that point on, everything was seamless. Whether we needed help with transfers, dinner reservations, or planning leisure activities, they were responsive, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful every time.|The property is spotlessly clean and features three fantastic on-site restaurants. A standout moment for us was our first morning at the buffet, where a staff member personally walked us through all the offerings and explained the origins of their fresh, local produce. That level of attention and care was consistent throughout our stay.|The views are breathtaking, the swimming pool is serene and luxurious, and every detail is designed to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. We stayed for four nights and left feeling completely recharged—and already thinking about when we can return.|I couldn’t recommend Botania Relais more highly. If you're looking for a true five-star experience in Ischia, this is the place.

I’ve been lucky enough to stay at some very good hotels in the past, but this must be one of the best. Incredibly beautiful grounds, amazing restaurants and fabulous staff. No part of the stay was anything less than five star.|Arrival: very efficient. They phone before to make sure all ok and then off to the room after a speedy check in (we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a delux)|Room - deluxe. - spacious, great air con, lovely bed and bathroom and a balcony with views over the bay to Vesuvius in the distance, Soft drinks complimentary from the minibar,|Pool - large and nice to sit beside. Good poolside service. On the arrival of a group of v loud Americans (why can’t you guys have conversations in normal volume shoemaking voices?!) we went up to the Belvedere where there is more seating and another 2 small pools, with a lovely view, as the name suggests.|Breakfast - just the best - amazing, fresh, locally sourced. Great service again. And, their own pastry chef, who made the best pastries I have ever had (try the pistachio swirl)|Restaurants - both fabulous, I guess look at other reviews for Il Mirto, but it was a memorable experience with fantastically interesting food which stimulated very single taste bud.|Spa - this is such a lovely place to get out of the sun. The hot and cold massage pools and stream room are all complimentary. Don’t miss them out. The gym is VERY small with a couple of Cardio machines only and weights which only go up to 10KG. This is the only thing I’d change about the whole place.|Staff - always very helpful and friendly. Guest services were some of the best I have encountered. Claudia will meet you at breakfast and help you with anything and everything to do with your stay and bookings of activities - outstanding - thank you|All in all, absolutely fabulous and recommended unreservedly.
