Beautiful, stunning property. The suites are spacious and incredible. Great location in Antwerp. Staff is kind and accomodating. Really enjoyed the amount of features in the spa, like the foot reflexology tubs and the pink salt sauna room. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Antwerp.

Our stay at the Botanic Sanctuary Hotel in early 2025 was a major disappointment. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a larger room, but this supposed enhancement quickly became irrelevant: the room had an unbearable smell coming from one of the bathrooms. We reported the issue multiple times to the reception, but it wasn’t until late in the evening that housekeeping attempted – unsuccessfully – to clean the drain. With two small children, changing rooms at that hour was simply not an option. The following day, no solution was offered, and we were forced to stay in the room despite the ongoing issue. At checkout, we were assured that management would reach out to present a resolution. The communication afterward was frustratingly slow and ineffective. After I followed up, I finally received an email apologizing for the inconvenience and offering an upgrade for a future stay as compensation. Unfortunately, I find this “solution” completely inadequate. Offering an upgrade for a future stay in a hotel that already failed to meet expectations does not address the severe inconvenience and lack of service we experienced. A hotel of this price range and reputation should not only handle problems promptly but also communicate effectively and provide meaningful compensation when guests are so significantly impacted. I cannot recommend this hotel after such an experience.

This is a beautiful place. It even smells good. It is somewhat centrally located depending on what you want to do (we came for a concert so some other hotels might have been closer). They are a 5 star and I believe most of the services are high quality. We especially liked the front desk staff. The rooms are small but don’t “feel” too small (normal Europe small certainly larger than the average Parisian hotel for example). We went for our anniversary and they added a special touch to the room. We would have liked to dine at one of the Michelin restaurants but there’s no real relationship with the hotel so there aren’t any special arrangements that can be made. It all worked out though as we ended up getting a last minute slot at Zilte and that worked maybe better for our diet. I think this is probably the nicest most unique hotel in Antwerp and I would PROBABLY stay there again (it’s not that pricey in my opinion as it’s essentially a resort and is on par with a resort price wise). My one hesitation is the less than stellar communication from the email address. I live abroad so calling is difficult so it would be nice if queries could be answered (only half of my communications were noted, including one I’m still waiting for a response from about a (very large) mystery charge).

Stepping into the Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp felt like entering a fairytale. Nestled within a 15th-century convent, the hotel exuded an atmosphere of tranquility and charm. My spacious room was a haven of comfort, and the complimentary breakfast buffet was a delightful way to start the day. The highlight, however, was the gym. Equipped with modern machines and open 24/7, it was the perfect place to maintain my fitness routine while enjoying a luxurious stay. The location was convenient for exploring the city center. On a whole, the hotel's serene atmosphere and good facilities made it a truly pleasant experience.

We were here for the first time over New Year’s Eve 2024. We had got a very nice double room in the building San Joris. It was a spacious room very nicely located and very modernly furnished. The hotel has been open since 2022. Very nicely located in the old town of Antwerp. You can easily reach everything from this place on foot. The reception by the concierge was very friendly. We had dinner at Henry’s Bistro three times during our presence. It was an absolute culinary experience with a very pleasant and courteous service. We enjoyed our five days at this hotel very much and would return here anytime.

Wonderful place to stay in the heart of Antwerp. Mazelike but gorgeous facility which is much larger than you first realize. Wonderful breakfast and great bar, obviously a popular place for guests of the Sanctuary and people of Antwerp alike. I love the fact that although it is a very "enclosed" space, there is also a passageway for the inhabitants of the City

The services provided by the hotel do not match those of a five-star hotel. It doesn't match the price it offers. 1. Insufficient training of hotel staff a. During breakfast, after the receptionist took us to our seats and sat us down, when I left to get food, my seat was occupied by a new guest brought by the same receptionist. This was a very low-level mistake. Although there were no personal belongings on my table, it took less than 3 minutes, and there was a menu on the table that the waiter gave me after I sat down, proving that the seat was occupied. b. The hotel staff who greeted us in the room told me that she would reply to my question by phone later, but she completely forgot. c. When we checked out, the hotel staff didn't know which car we had and asked us. I suggest that the hotel should do a good job of information management. Since it provides parking services, it should link the vehicle information with the room number. 2. The hotel’s room is not clean. There are spider webs in the corners. I can't believe that there are spider webs in a room of a five-star hotel. 3. The hotel parking lot is inconvenient for guests. I appreciate you parking for us, but if we want to use the car again before checking out, we need to get the car keys from you and you need to lead us to the parking lot.

A special place for a special occasion 💜 great location, the hotel and its surroundings make your stay in Antwerp a memorable moment. Team and accommodation were perfect for a 2 day visit between the spa, breakfast, garden and city stroll.
