Jardim Botânico de Curitiba

A very beautiful park, definitely worth visiting. Honestly, no photo or video can capture its scale and beauty. The park is large, and besides the main greenhouse, there are beautiful fields, tall trees, and benches for resting. You can also sit directly on the grass. There is a lovely café on the grounds. At the entrance of the park, there’s a shop where you can buy water, juices, or snacks. The parking is convenient. It’s a great place for walking with children, but keep in mind that on a very sunny day it’s better to have an umbrella or a hat, because the space is wide open and some areas have no shade.

Beautiful clean well maintained. Please take your own water bottle as there is not a single water fountain and the place is quite big which you might start feeling thirsty. The place has amazing gardens, flowers and explained well regarding flowers from different climates. The place has toilets and paid parking area and restaurants.

Free to enter. Easy drop off outside if you go by car. Looks like there are lots of places for free parking nearby in the neighbourhood as well. Really well kept park. Two cafes on site at tourist prices. There is a place to buy homemade souvenirs, paintings and some plants.

Beautiful park. Greenhouse was so charming but smaller than I thought once up close. I do wish there were more flower gardens and labels of the plants directly at the soil on most plants. You either way can spend many hours here!

The Botanical Garden of Curitiba is absolutely stunning! From the iconic glass greenhouse to the vibrant flowers and peaceful walking trails, every corner feels magical. It’s a must-visit spot to relax, connect with nature, and capture amazing photos..

A beautiful botanical garden with a huge array of different flowers, trees and animals. Staff at entrance were very friendly and had a free map of the city in English. The sensation garden cannot be missed, the staff there are very knowledgeable and described the like cycle of the Candelabra tree (the critically endangered tree of the state of Parana) in perfect English. Butterfly paradise with extensive variety, with huge numbers and even a hummingbird for the eagle eyed. A large number of species of birds, lots of fish sunbathing in the lake alongside turtles. The species of flowers in the greenhouse were so varied I may have missed a few, with notable mentions being banana palm flower and pineapple flowers. Lot's of Golden orb spiders in the trees in the sensation garden, be sure to look up especially if you are tall! Lot's more to explore with water fountains and solar arrays. Toilet facilities are free and immaculate. The cafe at the end of the semicircular shaded flower section with the statues is a must visit. I had the best cheesecake with red berries I've ever had, along with Pão com queijo, affogato (ice cream with expresso shot), and to go: the chocolate & nut cake, and a chocolate & cherry torte. All of which were very good value for money and incredibly tasty, staff friendly, approachable and spoke English (and allowed some practice Portuguese). Entrance is free!

It's very iconic, if you visit Curitiba it's like a must to take a look at this place. Very enjoyable. You can bring your picnic blanket and enjoy your time there too. Also, the plants are beautiful.

Must visit place in Curitiba, best of all it is free! (Se você estiver visitando a cidade de Curitiba, deveria visitar este jardim botânico - é gratuito) I had the opportunity to visit Curitiba back in May, and I knew to come visit the Botanical Gardens. The structure of the building is well known throughout Brazil. The structure does not house many plants inside, but it was cool to see things growing (and thriving!) inside. Outside the structure there were many hedge shapes similar to what you'd expect in a European garden. Very beautiful! While the structure is somewhat small, the grounds of the botanical gardens are quite large, so it's worth strolling the different paths to learn more about... Plants! Especially those native to Brazil. There's a restaurant near the front of the entrance which serves "por quilo" food (food that is weighed, based on how much you eat). They had a pretty good feijoada here. In the back part of the gardens, there's a lake area. In the lake area, there is a large building, which is where vendors are selling their local goods, including handicrafts and plants. I purchased some handmade capivara plushies (Portuguese spelling of capybara) as souvenirs here. The Botanical Gardens are worth a visit if you're in Curitiba! Vem, vem (come, come)!

in my short 4 day visit to this incredible town of Curitiba I managed to realize that Brazil can be more than just Rio de Janeiro, his town has taught me that perhaps there is a hope for this beautiful county. on our touristy day we visited this garden that is said to be the post card of the town, after my short visit I can safely said that with reason this is the post cart. the gardens are grand with great amounts of vegetation and a very interesting maze that leads all visitors to the majestic green house, the well known green house. as we drove there we saw all the people walking and playing around the maze and coming in and out of the green house. there are plenty of beautiful flowers all along the way, the decoration and the view of the gardens is very imperial and classy. sadly when we got there a very heavy rain started to fall so we had to quickly evade, but we managed to get somewhat close enough to witness the beauty of the gardens. I will do all I can to attempt to visit this garden once again.

Although I'm not one to know my plants, I do enjoy a botanical garden every once in a while. Despite the heat and humidity, I wanted to come see the Jardim Botânico and was pretty pleased with the lush greenery. Although if you look hard enough you can see much to appreciate in the natural textures and colors of the plants on display. If you ever have some free time, check it out. Just go and relax a while.

Can u ever Imagine that this amazing place was a garbage? Is true, the major used this devalued place and turned into a tourist points of the city. Very nice, a lot of flowers, trees..big green area. In the begging here is a snack bar, bathroom and a souvenirs shop ( very cool). Entry is free and free parking in the street The famous stove, postcard of the city is not so nice inside, but u take good pictures! there is a Sensorial Tour, very nice, touch the plants, smell, see and appreciate the differences between them! Is a wonderfull place to rest, sit in a quiet and shady place! A special garden, educational, very beautiful! U can go by a special tourist bus too, that take in a lot o places in CURITIBA!

If you are in Curitiba you have to pay a visit to Botanical Garden. It is one of the major tourist attraction and landmark in the city. The main greenhouse it's an amazing spot for pictures. And don't forget to visit the gift shop.

This is a really pretty place. And it's free. There is a small space to park inside before you make the trek to see the garden. This is definitely a place to come to when you come and visit Curitiba. Make sure you bring a camera because you will be taking a ton of pictures. The garden doesn't just include the patterned flowers. There are also trails that you can take to see the ponds that they have. There is a smaller area in the back left that has a nice pond with giant gold fish. Make sure you spend enough time to walk around and if it's sunny outside, bring some water. If you want to go for a run, this is a great place to do it as the terrain is constantly changing and there is plenty of awesome nature to see.
