May 2nd week -rose season is almost gone. It’s nice to see Big trees and some flowers . But green house is not organized. Just simple few Cactus were there. Japanese garden was nice. But i can see rose are not treamed well. It needs more care. With entrance fee 5euro it should be more organized. But it is good to walk around and enjoy nature .

A peaceful oasis in the heart of Trastevere. The Orto Botanico di Roma is a beautiful escape from the busy streets, with a wide variety of plants, including bamboo groves, orchids, palms, and a charming Japanese garden. It’s a lovely place for a calm stroll, especially in spring when everything is in bloom. Some areas feel a bit overgrown and could use more upkeep, and mosquitoes can be an issue in warmer months, so bring repellent. Overall, a relaxing and affordable way to enjoy nature in the city.

Easily one of my favourite things I did in Rome to get away from the exhaust and cigarette smoke filled air. The nature is mesmerizing and the lush vegetation was incredible and breathtaking. Highly recommend this!! Only 5€ to get in per person. You will not regret it. Great for a walk to breath in the fresh air.

Ideally place if you love contact with nature, greenery and expect great visual stimuli. It's worth spending at least 2 hours and exploring the entire site. The downside is that some sections look neglected and very unattractive, even smelly... I think some sections need better care

It was quite a winding route to get here, but it was worth the walk. The grounds include a Japanese garden, among other attractions. Be mindful of mosquitoes and the sun/heat, if you're a magnet or burn easily. Definitely worth the price of admission.

As a nature lover and not one for crowded places, this was one of the top places I visited while in Rome. The grounds and trails/paths are well manicured and it’s a very interesting ecosystem from succulents to roses to cacti to ferns and many other plants. There are many lovely places to sit and relax and the bathrooms are well-maintained. Highly recommend.

I have been to botanic gardens all over the world and I must say this visit was very disappointing. It looks like the park is completely lacking maintenance. The only nice part is the bamboo and asian section on the top.

Bamboe flowering! You will probably never see that again as bamboe flowers mostly between 60-130 years (depends on species). Toilette clean, in general the garden is run down and tired. Luckily some dude worked hard and planted trees/palms many moons ago. You can find rest here, escape the city chaos. The Japanese keep their section neat and functional;)
