"Around since 1765, the St. Vincent Botanical Gardens claims to be the oldest of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. Tour the gardens with an informative guide, who will point out all the native and exotic plants growing here, including a breadfruit tree descended from the one Captain Bligh brought to St. Vincent in 1793. In the aviary, you’ll also be able to catch a glimpse of the colorful St. Vincent parrot—the island’s national bird."

"Within the St. Vincent Botanical Gardens in Kingstown, visitors will find a very nice gift shop, featuring everything from local artwork, handmade pottery, and crafts to books about the island, toys for kids, authentic souvenirs, and snacks and cold drinks. The gift shop is decorated with plants, of course, as well as carnival costumes that reflect the island culture."

I had just an amazing and educational time here. Our tour guide, Anthony, was superb! We got a bit of history and comedy in the mix, which made this tour so memorable. Learning about the different plants, their uses, the uniqueness were all interesting tid bits - some of which I didn't know! This tour was nothing short of engaging and we really enjoyed it. Excellent price point too! It was US6/XCD 13.50 per person, and the guided tour is an additional cost. Your choice to go off on your own but I highly recommend a guided tour

As the oldest botanical gardens in the Western Hemisphere, it is worth the visit and you can see the colorful St. Vincent parrot, which will talk back to you. Whether you stroll on your own or join an informative guided tour (worth money), this serene spot is absolutely worth a visit

Beautiful botanical gardens and lovely stroll. Definitely recommend getting a tour guide. Lots of history and good explanation of all the trees in the property. If you’re in town, it’s a great way to kill an hour or so.

We visited the Kingstown botanical gardens while in St Vincent and it was great. It has a large collection of flora and fauna and also has a national parrot enclosure. It was interesting to see many plants that has recreational uses such as cardboard and jewellery making. Recommend going in with a guide which costs extra above the regular ticket.

Good to see on the island. 5 dollars for entry fee and extra 6 if you need a guide. The guide fee is higher than the entry fee. Must take a cab if your cannot walk 4 to 5 km fr the port. And if you walk look out for the entrance board which may easily go unnoticed. It has a lot of trees and some of them are ry interesting.
