One of the best currys around honmachi. Service is kind yas de is great and the amount is nice enough. I was surprised for the amount of different pickles served alongside with you place of curry.

I stumbled upon this spot, when I was searching a for a more traditional Japanese curry establishment and I'm so happy I did. I ordered the botani and shrimp curry combination plate (spicy) with an egg and extra pickles. The plate didn't have much meat or shrimp in it, but the curry was super flavorful and I savored every single bite. Definitely built up a little sweat from the spice, but it was nicely balanced with the pickled veggies and rice.

Located in an alley amidst the business district of Honmachi, Botani Curry is a popular spice Curry shop. The menu is simple with three types of curries to choose from: Botani (their signature chicken based broth with three types of chicken or beef keema), Shrimp or Pollo (fish based broth with chicken and coconut milk). You can choose your spice levels (50yen per level) and add extra toppings such as pickled eggs and cream cheese tofu. The colorful and unique mix of flavors will leave you satisfied. You will be given a card with a time that you will be able to enter when you line up. They start giving out time cards before opening so you can come earlier to save a spot before the long line!

Very unclear how their ticket system works. Read up on their website, went to the store at 10:05, saw a sign that said "sorry, all sold out". Does that mean for that day or the previous day? No date made it hard to know if we should wait longer or what. Why not communicate better?

We tried twice to eat here, and both times they were either sold out (we arrived around 3pm on a Friday) or closed without any prior notice (we attempted to come back the next day, at 11am on Saturday). Absolutely no communication on their Twitter saying that they would be closed - we made sure to check the same day. We saw a hand written note on the door, but it did not say they were closed. Since we are visiting Japan on a limited time, it was deeply disappointing and a complete waste of our time. There's nothing else to do around the area either.

I ordered the shrimp curry large portion with a level 6 spiciness; the presentation was stunning. The restaurant is a cute little shop with a nice atmosphere. If you want to eat lunch here, you have to go early. I went at 10am placed my order and collected a card with the time to come back.

Nice "spice curry" which is now popular in Osaka. With nice assorted picked vegetables.

Only in Japan is it possible to run a business that is open on a random day every month, announced over Twitter, with a ticket system that starts an hour before the place even opens. Just have to smile and laugh at these things. 😂

Yelp
This is the best spice curry I ever had. I had the Chicken Curry and added cheese to it. The place is small but has a really good vibe too.
