Botanist Veggie Cafe

I had the pleasure of dining at Botanist Veggie Café on two consecutive days in July 2024, and was so impressed that I returned again in July 2025. On each occasion, the experience was consistently excellent. The dishes are exceptionally well-prepared—flavorful, fresh, and thoughtfully presented. The service was equally commendable, with staff members demonstrating both efficiency and genuine hospitality. Botanist Veggie Café is a standout destination for plant-based cuisine in Malacca and is, without a doubt, highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable vegetarian dining experience.

Really good vegetarian and vegan cuisine from different cultures. Many choices, well made, and great presentation. There were even specials for different days of the week. I highly recommend for amazing quality and flavor! Indoor interior was also nice.

Botanist Cafe is a bit out of town, but 100% worth the trip. Everything we had was delicious; feel-good food that’s full of flavour and doesn’t leave you feeling heavy. The portions are generous, and the prices are really great (like £2–3 for a main dish). Incredible value for money. Loads of great options on the menu, and the homemade juices are well worth a try too. The team there were very kind – they even opened up early one morning so we could grab a coffee. Can’t recommend this place enough – we went back several times. Easily one of the best vegetarian spots we’ve found in Southeast Asia so far.

We recently took a weekend getaway to Melaka with some family friends. It was a vegetarian group of people, so the menu was kinda given, despite the fact that our family were omnivores. Well. We stopped here for lunch upon arrival. I’ll say the food here is most definitely Good! I had the blue pea nasi lemak, and it was one of the best I’ve eaten, the meat version included. The family had porridge and noodles, and like me, all were happy with their options. We’ve learned that food doesn’t have to be meaty to taste great, and that’s we learned from our vegetarian friends we made and this place:)

Amazing food, extremely courteous staff and the perfect, calm ambience. Each dish was prepared with such care and it reflects on both the presentation and the taste. Lovely place.

Beautiful vegetarian cafe. Peaceful ambience. Instagramable. Loved the chairs (chk out the picture 😁), loved the pasta. Dry Mutton Curry Mee was nice but could have included at least 1 vege, maybe like taugeh. Had cakes, but contained eggs 😥 Hope Botanis can go eggless in future (would save them money as well coz no need to use eggs)

The atmosphere is really good and very clean. The staff even mop their menu. Food taste is good and portion is acceptable. Price also acceptable. Great place for a healthy lunch.

It's in a good location, within walking distance from the DoubleTree by Hilton Melaka. The options on the menu are good. Quality is alright. The portion is good. All the food are healthy options. The restaurant is clean. The toilet is well maintained.

Food and service was amazing. Very authentic and flavorful. Loved the lemongrass ginger tea especially. Kaya toast was great too.
