Don’t waste your money. We stayed 1 night in the L letter of the botel and were incredibly disappointed: borderline dirty, stained and damaged furniture, loud and lack of privacy on the bottom floor of the room (no curtains). Very basic comfort - hostel like - under the pretense of a “minimalist” look…and for 300€ a night. This is just a glorified hostel room. Only nice thing was the view.

Enjoyed the experience of staying on a “boat”, but rooms are fairly cramped. Breakfast is standard ‘buffet’ but was nice enough. Reception staff were friendly but I wouldn’t say it’s worth the price - especially what they’re trying to charge at the moment. Would recommend if it was more of a “budget” price.

This was our first time to Amsterdam and my work booked us the letter T at the Botel. I was hearing a lot of negative feedback about the hotel but experienced none of it. The room and hotel were updated, clean, and staff was friendly. Only thing we would change is the small bathroom (wetroom) but that s typical for Europe. We are just used to our oversized bathrooms in the USA. Breakfast was the typical European type with meat, cheese, bread, yogurt, sausage, hard boiled eggs, juice, coffee. However, we could fill out a form the night before if we wanted other things like scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit. I have no complaints and would stay here again, gladly. I loved the location right on the water, beautiful views, and easy access to all the public transport including the ferry.

We recently stayed in loft letter B on Botel. What can I say?! My boys absolutely loved it! We didn't tell them about the half pipe or skateboards in our room so they loved them! Lovely coffee pods available for the coffee machine in the room. The seating/dining area is tiny so we didn't use it for that, we mainly used it as a wardrobe area and a place to put out things. The two beds are together on the top most floor. Our boys are 5 and 8 and they managed the steps no problem however they made me very nervous with how steep they were. We managed and the beds were very comfortable. There was a decked area to sit along with some chairs and a high table.|The room was perfect for what we wanted/needed. The temperature while we were there was in the mid to high 20's and the room was amazingly cool. Be warned, there are no blinds on the big windows so if the ferry is passing you may flash the odd person if they happen to be looking up. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and Botel was located so close to the ferry it was an absolute doddle getting anywhere. There is also a very handy supermarket round the corner (if like me you like proper milk in yout coffee, not uht).

Like a last-chance cruise What a disappointment this hotel is more beautiful on the outside than on the inside. We're in the letter O it's decrepit, and could really do with a refresh and a lick of paint it's full of stinging spiders and not really clean except the bed. Another thing I would have liked to know is that the Botel is now a Ukrainians refugee camp, which makes for a very unpleasant two-speed service. It's not normal to have VIP status when all around you can see the distress. A gloomy atmosphere of infinite sadness everywhere. Garbage cans in the corridors, musty smells, posters to help people find work, lost and found lonely shoes , fridges in the lobby etc a two-speed service in the hotel that was immediately explained to us when we arrived - there's them and us. All this for a prohibitive price 300€ a night. The only good thing about this place is the location and the view from the pontoon.

Where to start. Loved the location and the concept. A bit more and it could be brilliant. It seems the whole deck level we were on has been recently refurbished. The bed was comfortable. Room decor was modern despite nowhere to put your clothes. So why; Was the TV small, unwatchable and about 20 years old with no decent channels or a viewable screen. The bath towels were tiny and about as old as the boat. No tea and coffee in the room. Coffee from the bar only and nearly the same price as a breakfast! No food in the restaurant in the evening even tho some residents seemed to be getting a basic meal, not available to paying guests. The music in the bar can only be described as suited to a very narrow audience. The staff were more interested in talking to each other than attending the customers. The toilet area missed out on the upgrade. Would love to go again but will wait until the reviews on the facilities and staff approach improve.

Excellent location for the ferry, quirky building and exceptionally comfortable bed (we slept in five places whilst on our travels and this hotel was the most comfy!). Due to the room being a converted cabin, the shower was rather small, but for a night or two you can't really complain. We'll definitely be returning due to the convenience and excellent views.

We booked for 2 nights. We were put in ‘E’ on top of the ship. It turned out we should have been in ‘B’ but the porter brought us to the wrong room. The receptionist later blamed me for that! Even though it was him who opened the door for us…we hadn’t a clue where we were going! The space was dire…flaking paint, leaking windows, stained carpet, broken toilet seat…a sleeping are that was completely unsuitable for four middle aged ladies. It was one large built in bed with two four foot mattresses that the four of us were meant to sleep on! The bed was on a mezzanine floor reached by a spiral metal staircase and it had a very low barrier to prevent you falling to your death! We were provided with 2, yes 2 single bed duvets between us! I could not relax up there so we threw down one mattress and two of us slept downstairs. We did complain at reception but were told that the hotel was full and we could not be moved. |We complained vehemently the next morning to the manager and he was able to provide two better rooms immediately. That was at 9:30am which means those rooms were available the night before too!|I had written an email to Clickandgo before we went to bed the night we arrived,as we had booked with them and they were on it first thing next morning and they moved us to Best Western Hotel for our second night. We decided to take that offer and left the Botel. |If you want to stay in Botel make sure you get a room in the main part and not in the letters!
