Botel Maastricht

⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (10/10!) We had the most wonderful stay at Botel Maastricht! From the moment we stepped aboard, we felt welcomed and cared for. The atmosphere of this floating hotel is so unique—peaceful, charming, and unlike anywhere else we’ve stayed. A special thank you to Derrick, who kept us entertained with his fantastic stories and adventures about the Canadian Geese—what a delight! His warmth and humor made our visit even more memorable. We also cannot say enough about the incredible reception team. Yanina and Johanna went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our stay was absolutely perfect. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made us feel at home right away. Everything was simply spot on, and thanks to this amazing team, our time at Botel Maastricht was unforgettable. If we could give more than 10 out of 10, we would! Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back! 🚤✨

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the centre of town. The breakfast was good. The twin cabin was extremely small with 2 bunk beds. The shared bathroom facilities (2 showers and 2 toilets) on the floor we were staying was inadequate - no where near enough for the estimated more than 20 guests and quite a long walk down the corridor from our cabin.

Location is everything. The boat is moored right near the center of Maastricht. Of course the experience of sitting on deck with a beer is great. The rooms resemble prison cells and the toilet was far away. At least the place was clean and the service really great.

Derrick was so helpful during the checkin and even booking as you need to book in advance, walkin is not allowed 🚫 It was busy at night, but still we got accommodated.

I stayed with my daughter in a cabin with a bathroom. We arrived by bike. We both had a fantastic sleep. I dont think you can rest a better, more central location with such a peaceful vibe. The ship seemed very peaceful, no noise after 11.00. Sitting on deck with my coffee and book, watching fishermen pull an incredible 1m long pike fish out of the Maas is something to reflect on and smile. I would book again.

Lovely Staff, the Botel gives of a nice friendly welcome. The location is fabulous for the Old Town and the park (we came to do Tapijn parkrun amd it was a 15 minute walk) We had room 20 which faces the stairs down to accommodation. The shower rooms and toilets are a shared facility. Breakfast was simple but filling. Lovely coffee. Only minor issue was due to loud visitors arriving at 3am and then continuing to make a lot of noise for the the 2.5 hours even when asked to keep the noise down. The walls are very thin but it's a Boat so expected. We would use again but request a different room.

We loved our stay there, the staff is amazing and the service as well. We had great conversations with the staff! We will definitely sleep here again if we come to Maastricht. Rooms are a bit smaller but we did not mind as we had everything we needed. Breakfast was also good for the price. Thank you Jean-Pierre and the rest of the staff!

A very beautiful place, clean room, snow-white bed linen, a very pleasant atmosphere. Thanks to the owners and staff. We'll be back.💖

Yep, it's a boat that serves as a low cost hotel. I don't dare say hostel, but it's similar in cost. The rooms were what was expected for the price and the breakfast served each morning satisfied our groups' needs. All the restaurants, bars, shops and parking garages are nearby. I'd go back if I find myself in Maastricht again.
