Botrini's Santorini

This is not only a scenic spot but also a gastronomic destination. Food and plating here is top tier. The zucchini pastry, herring, and swordfish left us very good impressions. Wine list is extensive with lots of local options that pairs perfectly with its seafood-focused menu. Service is attentive and the place has a very charming vibe that separates you from the busy (and sometimes overly energetic) Oia alleys. Perfect for a honeymoon and small family gathering.

The experience was truly exceptional, offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that justified the investment. It was a multi-sensory delight, engaging all senses with beautiful sights, captivating aromas, fantastic flavors, and incredible textures, all accompanied by the soothing sounds of the sea.

Everything was exceptional — the food, the breathtaking view, and above all, the incredible service. Every member of the team made us feel genuinely cared for, even down to the small touches — making sure each dish was explained so both of us could see and hear, and suggesting we head down for a better view so they could take a photo for us to remember the evening. The sunset was pure perfection, and we feel so lucky to have shared your final night of the season with you. It’s those small gestures that make all the difference.

Honestly a once in a lifetime dining experience that is worth the time and money. Get ready for an intimate journey across a diverse range of culinary delights. The staff present and explain each dish with exquisite detail. We spent almost 3 hours enjoying our dinner experience. We even met the chef and got to thank him for his work, everyone was delightful and humble. Greek wine pairing is worth it, but buckle up, you get your fill!! I fully expected to not have my appetite satisfied with the dishes and portions, I was incredibly wrong, there are so many courses that grow in size you cant avoid the inevitable feeling of being stuffed. I didn’t document all of the dishes because there are so many! I highly recommend watching “The Menu” before you come here just for further immersion. 😂

Just perfect👌Food was fantastic. Atmosphere was very relaxing with a beautiful view of Oia and sunset. Staff was very helpful with the menu and patiently walked us through all the dishes accommodating all our preferences. I'm glad that we've been recommended to try this place as this is now one of my best culinary experiences paired with one of the most romantic views.

Original dishes and great flavors. The view on the Caldera is beautiful. All dishes were unique and delicious, must try: Zucchini quiche! However, the several dishes did not really fit well with each other. The tasting menu was too packed (13 courses) and was a bit rushed (1 dish every 10-15 minutes).

Incredible food, experience, service & view. It is a calming, intimate space with open, unobstructed panoramic views of the ocean & town. Most tables are situated by the hotel pool. The hotel (Katikies) outdoor space itself is very beautiful. We arrived at opening time so we could enjoy the view in the day light, and watch the sunset. Music was relaxed, modern. You select from a set menu, but the experience provides much more (several amuse bouche, amazing brioche bread with olive oil & several incredible butters, pre-dessert & post desserts).The food really was incredible in taste and presentation. Our favourite dishes were the swordfish carpaccio, the lamb and the 'Strawberry Fields' dessert. The brioche & accompaniments were also to die for! Service is very attentive and informative, with beautiful historic touches relevant to the dishes & family history of the chef. Even though the day we visited was very windy, the restaurant was much less so and very pleasant, later in the evening blankets were offered should we need them (but we didn't). The only negative we can think of is that the dishes could have come out slightly more slowly, with food this amazing you want to let it all sink in. Would 100% return to this beautiful restaurant!

We spent €500 at Botrini's and felt that the experience didn’t quite justify the price. While the food overall was commendable, worthy of 4 stars, there were both hits and misses, and the handling of my wife's pregnancy dietary requirements was notably subpar. Our evening began on a slightly sour note. When we politely requested to be seated in a different area— by the pool— the waitress rolled her eyes. It was a really strange start that made it difficult for us to settle in and enjoy the evening. An issue arose regarding my wife's pregnancy. Two nights earlier, we had dined at Petra where we informed them of her condition. They reassured us that it was a common request and adapted the menu, providing my wife with a meal almost identical to mine, but with thoughtful substitutions. In contrast, Botrini's approach felt like an afterthought and an inconvenience. Many of the dishes served to my wife were simply the standard versions with the offending ingredients, like raw fish, removed, resulting in bland, incomplete dishes. At one point, a waiter inquired whether my wife could eat dried pork. Uncertain about the specifics of the dish or its suitability, we found ourselves Googling the answer at the table while the waiter waited awkwardly. For a restaurant of this calibre and cost, handling such a common dietary need as pregnancy should be seamless. It is the responsibility of the restaurant and the chef, as culinary experts, to be knowledgeable about this. The head waiter was a bright spot of the evening—charming and friendly—but it felt that he was somewhat overstretched with the number of diners. Overall, while Botrini's has potential, the experience fell short of expectations, particularly for a restaurant at this price point. There were moments of excellence, but the inconsistent service and poor accommodation of dietary needs left us disappointed. For reference our meal in Petra's came to €430 including service and excellent in all respects.
