We ate at this pub twice during a climbing trip at Arapiles. The staff are friendly, the food is very well done and good value, and the desserts are a real treat! We loved the local vibes to this place and will definitely be returning on future endeavours.

Always a fan of the National Hotel in Natimuk. Super friendly locals, laid-back atmosphere, and a great spot to grab a couple drinks after climbing or exploring the area. Classic country pub feel—nothing fancy, just good energy and cold beers. Definitely worth stopping a visit when in town!

As a Natimuk local, the National Hotel (our beloved pub) is more than just a place to grab a drink, it’s where the town comes together. Whether it’s a casual night out, a community event, or a post-climb debrief with visitors from around the world, there’s always a welcoming vibe and friendly faces. Bill and the whole team are absolute legends. They know your name, your order, and somehow always make time for a chat, even on a busy night. Their warmth and generosity create the kind of atmosphere that makes people want to come back, locals and travellers alike. There’s a great pool table, solid pub meals, and plenty of stories shared over beers. It’s not unusual to see climbers from overseas and old farming families sharing the same table, because that’s just how Natimuk works. This pub is the heart of our little town. If you’re visiting, don’t miss it, and if you’re lucky enough to live here, you already know why it’s so special.

Legendary pub! It's so great to have such a quality pub in town. Meals are great, locals are friendly, Bill, Ann and the staff make everyone welcome. And the best part is that it's just across the road from my home!

Delicious food that comes in generous servings. Can’t get any better than the Barra. Desserts are nice as well, service is great and really quick if you get in early. Look forward to coming here on every climbing trip!

The Natimuk Pub is everything a good country pub should be, warm, welcoming, and full of character. After a long day climbing at Mount Arapiles, there’s nothing better than rolling into the National Hotel for a cold drink, a hearty meal, and a catch-up with both locals and fellow climbers. The atmosphere is always friendly and relaxed, and the staff go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Special shoutout to Bill, whose hospitality and good humour really set the tone, whether you’re a regular or it’s your first time in town, he’ll greet you like an old friend. The pool table’s a favourite post-climb hangout, and the pub often becomes the unofficial meeting point for visiting climbers and Natimuk locals alike. There’s a real sense of community here, and it’s a big part of what makes climbing trips to Natimuk so special. Cheers to the team for keeping the spirit of the place alive, can’t wait to come back!

If you want excellent food and great hospitality head to the Nati Pub. Very generous portions so I always choose a half serve- and I have a big appetite! If you like hot and spicy you can’t go past the beef rendang cooked by Deya who is originally from Indonesia. And of course special mention to wonderful proprietor Bill, wife Anne and son Matt who go above and beyond to make the Nati pub so special.

Haven't stayed in a room, but dinner at the Nati Hotel is always a delicious treat. The atmosphere is great, always full of colourful characters with stories to share, and the food is excellent and in satisfying portions.
