BottleShock Wine and Brew

Really cute little spot, the outdoor seating was really big but it’s extremely hot during the day. I got the mango slushee and that was delicious. The service was great too. The only complaint I have is that the large charcuterie board was more like a medium size. For $55 I would’ve expected something bigger. The food was delicious but I was there would be more options for food too.

Such a cute, fun place! It was my first time there and was beyond pleasantly surprised! And it was "movie night", Ferris Bueller. Drinks were delish but the added bonus was The Teppanyaki Guys were parked out front for a yummy dinner! Ladies nite never tasted so good...

Very nice place. Small indoor place. Outside is bigger area with tables, chairs, covers, lights, doggy area and huge patios. 😀

Amazing place! Love the service and atmosphere. The owners really put a lot of thought, love and energy into the space and it shows!! We went as a group and sat at the bar. Shelby was attentive and friendly! Delicious wine based cocktails and of course a large selection of wine. Can't wait to go back :)

Great atmosphere! Staff is very friendly and everyone there always seems to be having a great time. The backyard vibe makes it very comfortable and chill.

Best patio in town, good service. They could use a better selection, of wine, beer and food. I really enjoyed happy hour there yesterday. Wouldn't some lowkey jazz music in the back ground from a wireless speaker be enjoyable, an antipasto plate at the cocktail table, of course yesterdays temp was in the 80's that was lovely for a change, a blue sky might be nice. Oh well it's my fairytale don't mess with it.

This place is SO lovely! The outdoor seating is super spacious and cozy. Plenty of heating lamps for cooler evenings. Great spot for friends or a date night, just the same. The fig & prosciutto baguette is almost TOO good. Oi vey. I could lick the plate of honey and goat cheese left behind. Great prices on wine, and there are plenty of non-alcoholic or just non-wine options (e.g. cider, spritzers, etc.).

Pizza and wine on a Friday night is so perfect. We stopped in for dinner and were happy to have zepedas pizza and a bottle of wine. The purple cowboy red blend is our go to and it's cheaper to just get the bottle if you want a couple of glasses. It's easy drinking and pairs well with pizza. We sat inside because it was little windy outside but their outside patio is typically really nice to enjoy. Service is friendly and attentive even though there was only one person working.

Indoor outdoor wine bar. Weather was cold but they had heaters. Was quite empty, not sure why. I think maybe Sunday? I didn't have wine but had a couple beers. Not sure I'll be back in the area. But it's worth a stop if your there

Looking for a cozy place to have a glass of wine (or bottle, I don't judge. LOL) then you should pop over to BottleShock. They have a small indoor seating area or a gorgeous outside patio with plenty of room. Their staff was delightful and knowledgeable. The hummus plate was my favorite and I enjoyed mixing and matching their flights. Go give yourself a relaxing time at BottleShock, and take me with you!! LOL

Great ambiance, great service this place is very cute went for a work event. My only complaint is we called atleast 5xs to get some more details and no answer! When we showed up they said the out said patio was already booked which sucked because that was the main reason we went! But we stayed. Inside is small but very cute

Went in to grab a beer after work. Ordered a cinnamon stout from Firestone brew. Was very tasty. The new owners took over in Dec and were very friendly and attentive. Can't wait to try the different selections of beers, and maybe a wine next time. We also ordered the spinach dip and the flat bread pizza. They were also great.

I'm upset I never heard of this place sooner. Would have never thought Bakersfield would have one of these. Definitely needed to elevate the city. Nate and Shelby are the nicest people. Just their energy is enough to make us return. We spent most of our time just talking to them and having fun. We practically tried half their menu. Great wine selection! It's not all wine either. They even have margarita slushees! Make sure you take in the outside patio and play some cornhole. My party and I will 100% come back. I imagine this would be a fantastic place to go to go wind down after a date.

Had a great experience vibing and enjoying live music while sipping on my wine margarita. My friend and I came in to support our friend that was playing and we sat outside in the seating area. Considering that it was summer time, it still felt very nice being outdoors as they have these mists all over the outdoor area to keep you cool. The wine margarita was honestly fantastic and it was my first time trying one of these. I do wish they had more appetizer or food options available to pair with our drinks. So far so good

This venue has small storefront most of it is outdoors which can be challenging to bear in the summertime Bakersfield heat! Not much shade, feels like you're in someone's big backyard. There are a few misters but no fans and seating is limited especially if there's a semi-private event going on.

Pre-pandemic I was lamenting on the lack of outdoor spaces in Bakersfield. Places where friends and family could relax and hang out while enjoying some drinks and bites. As if by magic, Bottleshock appeared and fulfilled my sun-bathing & wine-sipping wishes! We recently visited Bottleshock and met up with some friends. It was the most perfect way to socially distant and still hang out. The weather, while in the 80s, was warm but entirely tolerable under their enormous umbrellas. It was quite busy on this Saturday afternoon but lucky for us, our friends had secured a nice place to sit in some comfy couches. The wine and beer selection (yes, that's right no cocktails - yet!) was great. Tons of local brands and even some new one's I've never heard of. Our friends suggested a rose and it was lovely. Nice and crisp on a warm day! For food, they had Radio Sandwich as a popup serving up some delicious sandos. We grabbed a Muffaletta to share - it was huge! Service was a but slow. And we had to take in our carafe of water for a refill, but they were quite obviously busy and short-staffed. No biggie. Looking forward to coming here again soon!

Today Ruby and I met the most amazing mother/daughter team! Shelby and her mother Theresa opened Bottle Shock on 19th St in downtown Bakersfield two years ago. They have tons of events throughout the week, like paint night, live music, and even a comedy night! Their courtyard is dog friendly. Perfect spot for business meetings, to unwind with hubby or girlfriends after work, or for their monthly Sunday brunch! They have a wide selection of wines and ales, charcuterie boxes, panini sandwiches and other munchies and a great laid back atmosphere. They were so kind to donate a beautiful gift basket worth $125.00 towards our Dress For The Stars Gala and it will be available for our auction! Their ask for the community is to get the word out that they are there and stop by to enjoy a glass of ale or wine along with great conversation! Stop on by and support our local businesses!!

I'm always late to the party! Just visited for the first time a few weeks ago. This place is a dream! It's pretty with soft colors and a little girly. Good music playing, I love the atmosphere! Perfect sangrias! The girls that own it are delightful! I haven't visited the outdoor area but once the weather cools I surely will! Can't wait to go back! Lovely lovely spot! Cheers to Bottlesho

This place is darling! I loved the ambiance and charm of this beautiful wine tasting room. We choose to sit outside because the weather was perfect and not a mosquito in sight! The patio area is huge! Which means that social distancing is so easy to do here. They have a ton of beautiful space and lighting. It's definitely a great spot to meet friends or even a date. It's cozy and romantic. My companion ordered the wine flight which i regretted not getting after seeing the selection. Instead i ordered a glass of Merlot and a Pinot. Both delicious and yummy. Inside they have a huge selection of wines from central coast, which i love! I'd definitely hang out inside when that becomes an option. The bar is beautiful. Service was great and i love supporting local businesses. Give them a try! You wont be disappointed.

This is such a cool little spot downtown. Sitting outside on the patio listening to live music on a Friday / Saturday evening . Fresh pizzas available or snacks to go with ur drinks. Really cool place to hangout with ur friends. Highly recommend for something different. Tip- make a reservation first !

Had an amazing time celebrating with a friend here. The aesthetic is super cute and trendy. The frozen wine slushees were delicious. The service was excellent and friendly. Their Instagram tells you all the great events that they are putting on. So excited to enjoy girls nights here in the future. We had the small charcuterie box. It was beautiful presentation and everything in it was delicious. There we're two soft cheeses one lavender sheep's milk cheese that was super creamy and delicious there was honey drizzled over it so it was a little bit sweet. The other soft cheese was like a Brie and blue mix. Then there was a Swiss and a hard English cheddar both were sharp and delicious. It also had a dry salami and prosciutto.

Love this place! The service is amazing, great wine options, the patio is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy company, and I love that they have live music at times.

Here on a Sunday afternoon, pretty slow but great energy. The owners are two young ladies with great personalities. It's tough to come downtown because of the the type of business and people that are here but when we are here it feels like we are somewhere else. I really hope that that Bakersfield continues to grow this type of establishments. The owners are a mother and daughter who welcomed us and made us feel comfortable right away. The brewery next door has a family owned bbq, and they allowed us to bring us food in which of course we loved. Overall we love this place.

I love that downtown Bakersfield is gentrifying, and Bottleshock is a nice addition. A little more upscale wine bar. The wine selection is decent with a focus on California wines. The major issue I have is the reds are more or less served at room temperature. A wine bar should know better and have things at the right temperature. The place itself is nice. Tastefully decorated and a nice spot for a date. Parking outside is on the street, but not very difficult in that part of town in the evening.

Great vibe, and we loved the outdoor area. Brought our dog and it was perfect for her to hang out while we enjoyed a hazy IPA and sangria under a cozy heat lamp. We got the hummus & veggie box & it was better than expected, complete with warm pita bread! Would totally come back here. Also the staff was great :)

Love the patio! Nice huge patio. Lots of wine options and a good charcuterie board (slightly pricey). Loved that there were non wine options as well. Great vibes and wines!

This is my happy place , I love coming here and just having a relaxing moment outside on the patio . On my last visit a few sweet lady sent over bruschetta and I'm so glad she did . Bruschetta isn't something I'd normally order , but it was so good ! The flavors go so well together, it's so refreshing and delicious I'll order it again .

Saw this place on the news and wanted to give it a try. The inside is cute, similar to a lot of the revamped places downtown. The outside area is the real star. There is a huge outdoor area with a few seating areas for larger groups. Perfect for a Bakersfield summer night. I give it 3 stars for the wine selection. The bottles they feature all retail around $10 to $20, which they resell for $25 to $40. I understand a markup, that's to be expected, but at least they could mark up decent wine. The varietals are rather pedestrian too. Here's to hoping the wine menu gets a revamp too.

Pretty spot, came by to check it out with two of my sister in laws. Ordered a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board. Seemed small at first but was actually filling. Nice atmosphere and spacious lounging area, like a pretty backyard to chill on. Recommend for a relaxing girls night out.

What a cute place. Outdoor seating with shade and misters. Ordered a flight of wine and a pomegranate seltzer very pleased. Shared a chartuiterre board and chicken panini with fig jam. Delicious! The owners explained everything and generally wanted to assist us. The feature different countries each month (this month was Portugal). I want to come back often. Very worth a try.

You know how the really good places you get worried about all the positive reviews making a place super popular. This place is great, especially during the COVID. They have a great outdoor seating area. The people who work here are extremely friendly. I will note where we first sat down we were given a menu that only had a about 16-20 bottle on it. Ordered a bottle from that list but then realized they had a second list with more wine. Great, not huge name and interesting selection - the reason you go to a wine bar. Did not try the food, but it looked good. Looking forward to returning. There is tons of street parking and there are a number of restaurants near by if you are looking for a place to grab something after. Oh and they have misters. When it is 100 degrees out but you have no choice but to sit outside they are great.

When the weather permits, the outdoor patio is one of the best spots in Bakersfield to hang out. And when it's too hot, head inside for a frosé.

What a wonderful place. We sat outside. It's a great space. They have an extensive wine list. We split the chicken fig panini for lunch. The fig and apple add nice flavor. My Varner Pinot was good. My wife like the Lapis Luna Chardonnay. There is a brewery next door and they have those beers available too. Ahh, a reason to come back

Love their outside setting. You can relax enjoy the evening breeze (when its not 150 degrees) and enjoy some wine or local beers. We took our dogs, and the dogs also loved it. They have a great space for your pets. Definitely recommend it and definitely will be back.

A lovely place with lovely people! Recommended for a girls night out or a date! The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Shout out to Teresa for taking such good care of my friend and me! I love that this place partners with a local, neighboring brewery and features live music. This is what community is all about! A recommendation is to provide tasting notes on the menu.

I've been a couple times now and each time has been such a positive experience. The staff is wonderful and the drinks were great. Both times they've had some type of event for their guests. We enjoyed Back To The Future for one of their weekday movie nights and the other time we went on a weekend they had some great live music. I absolutely love their outdoor space and they are dog friendly too! Highly recommend this spot!

My friends and I have been here twice and we LOVE it. The Silk and Spice wine blend is our favorite. Service is always great and the atmosphere is relaxing. The misters and comfy seating that are spaced out appropriately, adds to the level of chill we all look for.

Very cute wine bar & super comfy outdoor seating. The owners are so nice & kind. My family & I came here on a Thursday to celebrate my birthday & we truly enjoyed ourselves. I talked with the owner & she told me they have bands that play every Saturday. We will be back for some more delicious mimosas & it is a great place to catch up with a friend since it is super low key & chill.

Super cute outside patio!! We stayed all night! The selections of wine is really good, but they say wine and brew and they only have one beer on tap... my husband enjoyed the beer, but having brew in your title should show you have at least a few brew choices. I throughly enjoyed the Pinot noir and the sangria. They were on the sweeter side, which me and my party loved.

We came across this place by accident and so glad we did! Outside lawn patio seating was absolutely lovely, the atmosphere with the fire pits and lush greenery was divine. Plus it was dog friendly which was so fun! I could have stayed there for hours. Our server was super friendly also. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

Just what Bakersfield needed. A cute and quaint wine bar with the perfect atmosphere. They have a great selection of wine and beer, and even food options. They occasionally have a pizza vendor and live music which is a plus! No kiddos allowed, but fur babies are welcomed.

What an amazing place. We sat outside, it's 94 and we were very comfortable, misters tons of shade and super comfy seating. The sandwich, fig and chicken panini was delicious, fresh and savory with greens, apples and fig. The cheese board was AMAZING. Go go go you will not be disappointed, we live here now!!! Also dog friendly soo

We went for St.Patrick's Day. Totally understaffed resulted in S. L. O. W service. The Bruschetta was pitifully small with 5 cracker sized pieces. The Hummus plate was about 3/4 cup of hummus with baby carrots from a package, crackers, sliced cucumber, and maybe half a pita bread. $58 for a beer,glass of wine,bruschetta, and hummus.

Very nice place to come and relax have some wine. The patio set up is very nice and relaxing enough space between sitting areas to enjoy a group outing. Loved this place, can't wait to go back!!

We are from out of town and our family took us here for Movie night. It is a cool little spot. Outside Venue is huge and nice, lights and heaters. If I lived here I would definitely stop by more often. The service is great and everybody is super nice. Definitely would recommend for a date night or girls night!! Wine/IPAs/Seltzers/Ciders not a huge variety but variety they do have is good.

This place just opened and OMG I was super impressed. Super cute decor and inviting atmosphere. Great wine. And the Gobble Gobble sandwich was heavenly along with their charcuterie board! :) I loved it and am definitely gonna recommend to my friends!

Immediately the vibe and ambience are great. They were hosting a Young Professionals group and were more than capable of balancing the large group event whilst still attending to the local customer. They invest in quality product, are warm and welcoming, and are knowledgeable about the industry. I will definitely be making a regular appearance to support this local business.
