A very nice place to stay in Grand Roque, only 10 min walk from the airport. Everyone was super nice and helpful. The room was cleaned regularly. We had B&B. The breakfast was good as well (i.e: fresh fruits, fresh juice, pancakes, omelette). The rooms have garden-bathrooms, which we loved! The price/quality is great compared to other posadas on the island. They offer free wifi, but if you need good internet connection, get a Venezuelan e-sim card, because the internet is poor on the entire island.

Posada el Botuto is a lovely place. We saw families couples and friends having a great time there. We really enjoyed the food, our rooms were tidy and very comfy, I loved the showers without a roof, it made me feel connected to nature. Ilva and her team were very attentive and made our lives very easy. Needless to say, Los Roques National Park is a unique spot, perfect to relax and this posada is a great complement to that!

A very special posada! |||| Located directly at the beach, with a sand covered teracce and LOADS of authentic , local charm and style. The neighborhood is rather quiet, compared to other places at los roques. ||||WHAT WORKS: The lodge is clean and well equipped, iceboxes for boat trips can be provided (additional payment) by the staff with local snacks and drinks. The outdoor showers (bathrooms) (seperate for each room) are nice and a welcome change to an indoor bathroom . ||||Cuisine is nice (you gotta like fish ;-) ) and super freshly made at reasonable prices. The staff, albeit small, is super friendly, easygoing and VERY VERY caring. I felt welcome and they really trid to make everything perfect for what we asked for. They can also hook you up with boat trips and fishing guides if needed.... ||||WHAT DOESNT: Internet access and power is a common issue for EVERY posada/accomodation at los roques. Would be great to see a bettter backup strategy if internet and power go down once in a while. ||||FINAL WORD: Sadly i planned for a 2,5 weeks stay and broke my leg by the end ofthe first week. The posadas host's in Los Roques helped me a great deal in this tricky situation and were super caring. Even some compensation was handled very nice and professionally.|||| All in all: a lot of local charme and very different ( in a good way) to other Posadas at los roques. Its a very nice place and i will definetely book again with this place. ||||P.S.: the two superfriendly dogs at the house are definetely a plus :) ||||Absolutely recommended. A+++

100% satisfied with the posada. Breakfast was always fresh. always had fruits and fresh juice also pankakes, eggs and/or other food. The room was clean and it had nets above bed to protect from mosquitoes. There is also fans to cool down during the night wich is very nice. The toilet and ahower is outside with a small garden where you can dry clothes if you want. The staff is very friendly. They are always happy to help e.g. if you need something for cooking. They also always have cold drinkable water in the fridge for free. The posada is located right at the beach with an awesome view to the water. At the end they offered free luggage transportation to airport. The price is affordable and you get very good value for the money.

As I was going to spend 44 days visiting Los Roques to fly-fish and chill out, it was very important to find the right accommodation. Therefore, I spent a lot of time browsing the internet to find a Posada which was very close to the water, was great value for money and had good feedback online. Once a shortlist was made, a list of questions was emailed to all the possible contenders. Replies varied from non-existent to very detailed. ||I ended up choosing the Posada El Botuto and am glad that I got it spot on. The Posada, staff, accommodation and food were all I hoped for and more. Just like Los Roques, the place grew on me and I will no doubt visit again, changing absolutely nothing. ||Also important to mention is that my travel to Venezuela went as smoothly as it can. Los Roques felt as safe as any place I have been to. It’s a stunning place on this planet, one of the best I have seen.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this posada for two nights in December 2018 around Christmas time. The whole experience was amazing. We were picked up at the airport by Raul (one of the employee) and give us a welcome to the Island and a nice introduction of things to do in the national park. El Botuto is a cute, peaceful place to stay, and we could see how everyone did their best to made our stay a great one, they even took us to the town festivals and hang out with us :) . Food was very good and they keep every space clean and with a cute/cozy decoration. We highly recommend it !||Nelson and Tim

This was a really great place to relax after a hot day at the beach, the evening meals were particularly impressive. ||||But what stood out most for me was the level of hospitality at the beach. The staff would drive us to amazing beaches each day, set up shade umbrellas and leave us with an ice box full of great food and refreshing beverages, they also had great recommendations about which beaches were best to visit and how to make the most of our limited (2 nights) stay at Los Roches.||||Los Roches itself is amazing, but hot, very very hot,I recommend 2 sets of clothing (at least shirts) per day so you can change into fresh clothing often, which helps.

posada el botuto is one of the more affordable options in the island. ||||but I think the property could be a little cleaner and business ethics could be improved. ||||suggestions include ||- respect the agreed price and not trying to get a few extra bucks||- tone down the hard sell||- avoid charging guest 2x when there is an official board listing boat trip costs||||because of these, I find it a little difficult to recommend but suggest exploring other posada options
