This has to be the most perfect restaurant. Everything is of utmost quality: cuisine, friendliness of staff, and atmosphere. Despite my very weak French language skills, I navigated the menu with the help of my waiter. Gravlax de saumone, Cod with courgettes in a savory butter and ham sauce, and profiteroles smothered in the most amazing chocolate sauce I've ever tasted. Ooh la la! A very nice Sauvignon Blanc, with un caffe and a Lambig de Bretagne to cap things off. The waiter urged me to pop around the corner and speak to the chef. A very young chap with extraordinary skills (spoke to him in English). Ça c'est bon. Go here!

I fell in love with Saint Malo when I was 21 years old studying in France. This trip symbolizes my return after 26 years, and Bouche en Folie is everything I wanted it to be: small, local, fresh ingredients, innovative chef, and impeccable service. We loved every bite! Don't hesitate to try this place. Absolute perfection! Make sure to secure with a reservation!

You wouldn’t necessarily notice this little gem from the street. But the food is phenomenal, fresh & just perfect in every respect. The service was fantastic - knowledgeable, cheeky & fun. Catered for allergens without any issue. I would return in a heartbeat.

1. Make a reservation - easy to do by messaging them via Facebook! They have a sign saying full for lunch and dinner hanging on their door so it must happen a lot. 2. Local feel - menu is hand written and brought on chalkboards. It is in French but the man servicing front of house knew enough English to talk us through the options. Because the place is small, it really feels cosy. 3. Amazing food - highlights were the "accras croustillants de crabe" - perfectly fried and seasoned crab cake; fish w curry beurre blanc sauce and parmesan risotto; and the "tiramisu" made w speculoos cookies, marscapone cream, apples and caramel au beurre sale 4. Great service - service was prompt and incredibly nice...even after we made a pretty big mistake. 😋 5. Close to beach - after our dinner, we walked one minute to the beach and watched the sunset. 6. Great value for money - was given two options: three course meal @ 30€ or two course meal @ 28€ (prices are as of today, could change but wanted to give context) All in all, a meal we will never forget! Recommend if you're in the area!

Recommend! Very good regional food with a twist, exciting menu cooked by the owner himself. Well worth the money. Reservations strongly recommended.

Starters and main dishes were really amazing for me (5/5) I had crab accras and the lotte fish dish. For dessert I had the chocolate terrine and I didn't really enjoy it (2/5) although very well prepared it didn't match my taste. Given that, my partner had the apple and caramel tiramisu and loved it.

Second time I visited this restaurant, and it's worth it. Small restaurant, good option for the menu with lovely food.
