I temporarily lived in this neighborhood for the summer and I loved this shop! They have amazing products and are unique because they age their own meats in house. The pâté and sausages are hand made and the products are all locally sourced. The bouchers are quite friendly and they speak English, so if you’re feeling intimidated by picking out local meat products, they can help you choose something fresh that will meet your needs.

J’ai acheté ce que je pensais être un steak haché, appelé « Barbes Burger », dans cette boucherie. Ça n’est qu’une fois arrivé chez moi que j’ai découvert qu’il ne s’agissait pas de bœuf mais probablement de l’agneau ou du mouton vu l’odeur que la viande dégageait et son goût si fort. Je trouve ça très regrettable qu’à aucun moment le vendeur ne vous précise que « Barbes Burger » ne correspond pas à du steak haché comme la présentation (des steaks déjà faits avec la rondelle de papier dessus) le laissait penser. Le steak d’agneau n’étant pas en France un produit de boucherie si fréquent ni un incontournable du burger il me semble. Je n’ai rien contre le marketing mais privilégier la clarté c’est bien aussi. 10€ pour deux steaks impossibles à cuire et écœurants, quel gâchis.
