Tl;Dr: It's some of the wine in Washington state if not the west coast.
Some of the best wine in Washington, hands down. I'm a wine snob who dislikes most domestic wine because it often lacks a full experience; a delicious start, a memorable middle, and an end that leaves you living the experience for an hour later. Culturally the US is driven more by economics in our winemaking resulting in volume production and releasing wine too early because why not? If it sells out each time the incentive is for just that. Boudreaux does all of their production in-house, in small batches. Their fruit contracts are some of the best, they barrel and bottle age beyond the US norm onsite, all resulting in a bouquet that is hard to rival domestically. I have Leonetti, Schafer, Opus One, and a myriad of other "amazing domestics," but none have taken my breath away more consistently in a fit of wine-gasm than Boudreaux. Between Rob's winemaking skills and Audré's management, this is a destination itself worth experiencing in Leavenworth.
