I visited San Antonio for the first time this weekend, and I was genuinely surprised by how beautiful, spacious, and well-organized the city is — but what truly stole my heart (and my stomach!) was this incredible restaurant by the river.
Normally when I travel, I like to try different restaurants to experience a variety of foods, but this place was the exception — I came back three times! Even just a few hours before my flight home, I made sure to stop by one last time to try the lunch special they had told me about the night before.
The food is SPECTACULARLY delicious. The flavor combinations are mind-blowing, the ingredients are fresh, and everything is cooked to absolute perfection.
Another big highlight: I’m usually not a big fan of red meat, but this restaurant changed the game for me. I ended up eating more meat than I ever do — and loving it! Everything was so flavorful and perfectly done that I got to experience a new appreciation for it.
When I return to San Antonio, this will be a must-visit spot for me, no doubt about it. I actually wanted to personally thank the chef for such an amazing experience, but the kitchen was so busy I didn’t want to interrupt — so I hope this message reaches both the chef and the entire team.
From the kitchen to the servers, everyone was so kind, attentive, and professional — you all made my trip extra special. I’ll be sharing some photos of the dishes I tried here too!
Endless thanks to everyone at Boudro’s! You truly made this visit unforgettable.
