Great bougatsa! The specialty bougatsa is with 2 cheese and sugar on top, you should try that one. I tried with vegan creamnas well was good. The 4 stars is only because I went on sunday morning the place was packed and babies was crying.

I’m always in the hunt for local delicacies and having nougat’s here in Crete is a must. This establishment has been here for a while and it has many positive reviews. The bougatsa was very tasty and worth the visit. I ate it inside so they offered table service. The service was friendly.

So I visited this place because a local friend of mine highly suggested it and actually marketed it as the best place to visit when you arrive at the port early in the morning. A modernized place that feels like it stood the trials of time, offering limited options of "Bougatsa" which in my opinion is absolutely fine. I love how this place has this traditional cretan Giagia (Grandma) cooking feeling. By itself i believe that is a selling point. The ladies that welcomed us when we arrived are super friendly as well. All in all, yes, this is a place you must visit when you reach the port.

Maybe I just came in a really bad moment, but total vibe was really very strange. Men and woman, which are doing this pies was arguing. Waiter was realllyyyyyy slow. A had really anxious feeling and left this place immediately after finishing my pie. About food: pie is amazing, really crunchy and delicious!

July 2024 Trip: Stopover in Chania, Crete. Stopped by @bougatsa.iordanis for coffee and bougatsa, which is a type of cheese filo pastry. The cheese tasted a bit on the sour side, which was well balanced by the sugar on top. The Greek coffee was excellent!

My boyfriend and I ate at this place today. I was extremely satisfied because the food is very tasty and the staff was very nice to us. We paid 10.30 euros for two portions and one coffee. I recommend!

One of a kind. History for more than 100 years. A must when in Chania. Unique blend of cretan cheeses for the filling. Super crispy handmade phyllo. Acidic, fatty, savoury, sweet, crispy, creamy all in one bite. Keep it up!!
