Bouillon Castle is a must-see if you're in the area! The place is full of history and fun to explore. Walking through the old stone halls really makes you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. The views from the top are amazing, you can see the whole town and the river winding through the valley. It’s perfect for photos! There’s also a cool falconry show if you go at the right time. Overall, it’s a great spot for a day trip, beautiful, peaceful, and interesting. Tickets were 16€ per adult, kids pay a bit less.

It is more a former fortress than a former castle. If you are claustrophobic, this place is not for you as the walkways can be quite small and low. Definitely for history and architecture buffs. The view from the top was great, though.

Fantastic castle and well worth the visit 16€ adult 12€ children admission (June 2025). Falconry display included in the price. Access via a stairway from ground level but very steep so not recommend for the walking impaired. Access by road and car and a large FOC car park outside the entrance to the castle. There’s also a cafe at the car park offering sandwiches and drinks

Bouillon Castle offers a fascinating journey through history, with highlights including the atmospheric torture chamber and rich insights into the First Crusade. The views are splendid on a fine day, and the bird of prey display is a delightful surprise. We’ll be sure to arrive earlier next time to take it all in at a more leisurely pace. Teachers, don’t forget your ID—entry is just €12 instead of €16.

Must visit! You can easily spend 3 hours or more here, it’s a big fortress with a lot of history, and the view is just amazing. When we visited in early April there’s bird show(you don’t have to pay extra) and those birds are cute and lovely😍😍 The only 2 things could improve: 1. They were fixing the toilets so there were only 2 toilets(normally only 4, not much), and the condition was not very good. 2. You have to pay a little bit for guidebook(we pay 1.5€ but I don’t know about the details because we have 2 dutch version and 1 English version)while I usually assume it’s free, and they don’t have those boards on the site to tell you things.

Such a lovely find. Car park right at the top. Was €16 per adult, but well worth it, gor to see a bird of prey show and so many different places to explore. Very glad we came here and paid to get in. Only problem was the toilets were not well maintained. However they did have toilets!

Google
Great tourbook (which you have to purchase) that takes you on a self-guided tour to many parts of the castle, some very surprising. A very enjoyable castle experience

The inside is much more interesting than the outside. It's totally worth it buying a ticket to go in. There is also a Falcon live show, which I could find the times online, so I will post here the timetable for you to know when the shows are taking place.

Yelp
Very pretty views of the small town of Bouillon. We bought the little guidebook instead of taking the full tour, but it was still very helpful. The castle is very beautiful, and has long history. The only room that I chose not to go into was the Torture Chambers. Other than that, it was a very pleasant walk on the grounds. My favorite part of the castle was the bird show. The handlers did it in French, but it was still worth it because the birds are so beautiful to look at. If you're near the town of Bouillon anyway, then you might as well take the tour.

Yelp
Dating from 988, and set on a natural bend in the river, Bouillon Castle dominates the small town of Bouillon in Wallonia, southern Belgium. It was from here that the unlikley combination of Godfroi de Bouillon, his mother and Peter the Hermit set out on the first crusade in the late 1090s. The castle is surprising large - you think you've seen most of it but it just keeps going on and on - with great views of the town below. It is great to explore for adults and little ones alike. If you still have any energy, Bouillon is set in a natural amphitheater and there is a great walk up the hill by the river to a viewing point above the town.

Yelp
Bouillon is a very interesting little town situated in the valley of the Semois and I recommend you the visit of the Castle. This medieval castle of the 13th century has been well restored. The three drabridges leads you to the main palace with the Room of Godefroy de Bouillon. On the top of the castle you have a breathtaking panorama on the town and the Semois! But the main attraction is the falconry with birds of prey. There are owls, eagles, hawks, vultures and falcons of course. The falconer is asking volunteers to participate at this impressive bird show! Don't miss it: it happens in the courtyard of the castle.
