How did I know this place? Hubby picked it and took me there back in May.. so lovely. I have a soft spot for french cuisine. Especially when it comes to escargot. Is a must order for me and I'm always looking for the best one. Not too much garlic, not too much butter, not too small.. just right. That's what I was served on the night. Delicious!! Next up, french onion soup.. not too much cheese, just the right amount that melts and not too salty. Another dish hit the spot. We definitely overindulge with our mains followed dessert. Wow! The service was beautiful and the decor was just so lovely. We loved every single dishes. Thanks for looking after us team.

To be honest, this dining experience didn’t quite live up to my expectations. Location: The location is great — very close to Circular Quay, within walking distance, and surrounded by beautiful city views. La Vie en Rose: Highly recommend! It’s delicious, with a light rose aroma that’s very refreshing. Grilled Sirloin: The steak had a slight off taste, the fries were overcooked, and the homemade sauce was a bit too bitter for my liking. Les Escargot: Some of the escargots weren’t cleaned properly — I could still see black edges. Overall, the dishes didn’t really impress me, but our server, Lucas, was very attentive and made the experience more enjoyable.

The food here is absolutely delicious—truly authentic French cuisine that made us feel like we were dining in the heart of Paris. We came here to celebrate our anniversary, and everything was just perfect. The baked escargot was a standout: rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding—especially Lucas, who took such thoughtful care of us throughout the evening. He even surprised us with an adorable little dessert and a sparkling candle, which truly touched our hearts. The prices are very reasonable, and the ambiance is quiet, elegant, and full of charm. It was such a memorable and heartwarming experience. Highly recommended!

What a charming little restaurant that we had to book weeks in advance to secure a table reservation. We had an 8pm dinner after exploring Circular quay. The restaurant was warm, cozy and packed. Our dishes were impressive but so were the plates served to the tables next to us. Overall, a lovely dining experience that transports you to some bistro in Paris

I had a fantastic dining experience at Bouillon L’Entrecote. I ordered the escargots, steak frites, and canard à l’orange. The escargots were rich and flavorful, and the steak frites were perfectly cooked and crispy. However, the most impressive dish was definitely the canard à l’orange — tender, juicy, and the sauce was beautifully balanced between sweet and savory. The service was attentive, and the classic French ambiance made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Food was good hearty and honest if not decadent. The Escargots were good but more on the chewy side than soft and tender. Steaks were done perfect, tender and with wonderful steak flavours. Fries were perfect. Scallops were served in a very unique way I have never seen scallops served before and am told by dining companions it was very good Restaurant was full and very busy while I was there but they found us a spot without a booking regardless. The waitress was very good and super efficient which meant she could also be very attentive despite how busy it was that night. She even recommended a great wine that paired perfectly with the meal As we did not book, we ended up sitting outside which was fine but did mean we missed out on the ambience of their inside sitting Pricing for what we had is on the average for similar fare and location in Sydney. Definitely would go back again

We came here for lunch after arriving from interstate and had a fantastic meal. The menu features many classic French dishes. We had the escargot (fantastic) as well as the sirloin and dry aged striploin. Both steaks were great and cooked exactly as requested, the aged one is worth the extra. They're actually quite good value compared to other steaks in the area as the come with salad and fries. The kitchen was able to accommodate my wife's dairy allergy, which was appreciated. The simpme baguette was also delicious. The staff were very attentive and professional, if somewhat reserved. The styling of the restaurant makes you feel transported out of Australia. Will definitely return again next time we're in Sydney

My partner and I visited Bouillon l’Entrecôte for his birthday — it was our first French dining experience in Sydney, and we were full of excitement. The ambiance was charming, and the staff were polite. But sadly, the food and some service details left us disappointed. We ordered their steak, cooked medium. While the inside was tender, the outer layer was overly charred — it tasted bitter, not seared. I’ve never had a steak that actually tasted burnt before. At the time, I tried to focus on enjoying the night, but the more I thought about it afterwards, the more I felt something was off. Later I saw other reviews and photos showing steaks that were much more evenly cooked, confirming my suspicion that ours was not up to standard. On top of that, our table was wobbly — a small but annoying issue, especially when you’re trying to have a special dinner. We really wanted to love this place, and perhaps we were just unlucky. But for a birthday dinner with high expectations, it was disheartening to leave with a bitter taste, both literally and emotionally.
