My husband and I spent two nights at the hostel, also known as "Sur la Hauteur" as part of Hostelling International. We were one of only two couples staying in the hostel itself; there was a large group from France staying in one of the cottages. As a result, we were able to get a double room overlooking the Semois River and the Chateau de Bouillon - great views of the sunset! And because there was no one else in our wing, the men's room became our own private bathroom with shower. Breakfast was quite yummy; unfortunately, the large group got there before us and almost ate up all the food. Fortunately, they also were provided food for bag lunches so latecomers could get some of that for breakfast. The hostel will also provide dinner as long as you notify them 30 minutes before dinnertime. Instead, we had driving to the supermarket earlier to get food for dinner. A refrigerator and cooking facilities are provided for guests, and the lounge serves beer (in their special glasses) at reasonable prices. There are also several decks facing the river and the castle where you can have your meals. And the hostel has its resident dogs and goat! All in all, the price was great, the location (able to walk into town from there) was perfect, and the accommodations were comfy.
