"Pierre-André Gagnepain is reputed to make some of the best croissants in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune, but his production is tiny and he’s open only about one hour most mornings; locals usually buy out the goods, so planning ahead is essential." - Ray Isle
Nostalgic old fashioned bakery. Wood fired oven great experience. We went here a couple times to get bread and croissants and cookies

A really great boulangerie. Wood fired oven was told it dates from 1860. The dark loaf of particularly good as are all the pastries. Young baker who has been there 10 years and won awards apparently. Also delivers around the area on the days the bakery is closed. Ask for details. Probably the last chance to experience a traditional Boulangerie in France. Not expensive either.

Very seriously small opening hours and high class produce, made in small quantities, highlight of my trip so far. You walk into a house/barnyard and are greeted by the warmth of a wood fired oven and the smell of fresh tarts and bread. May be the only shop in the town and only open from 8.30-9.30 am some days

We were lucky enough to stay in this tiny village and visit this boulangerie twice for breakfast. Absolutely gorgeous, authentic, friendly Baker and most importantly delicious beyond words. Highly recommend!

J’aurais adoré goûter le pain et les viennoiseries de cette boulangerie, mais malheureusement pas de possibilité de payer par carte. Et les versements par téléphone ou les chèques n’existent pas en dehors de la France. Dommage. L’ambiance était atypique et ça donnait vraiment envie.
