Boulangerie Pâtisserie La Mie Véritable

I stopped at this cute place on my way to Gaspé. I grabbed a latte, it was delicious ☕️. They have a dedicated section for a bakery and another for coffee. It's on the pricier side (a small latte 6.20$) There is a sitting area upstairs offering a lovely view to go with your tasty coffee.

Amazing sandwiches! They also have local products from the area- mostly jams and pantry items- you must try the couleur chocolat’s hazelnut spread (take some home, it’s expensive but insanely good)! A must stop on a road trip in Gaspésie! Délicieux!!

The cashier added a Tip and tried to hide it by ripping off the end of the receipt. Dishonest people work here. My mom liked the cheese we bought tho, so there is that

The canneberges baguette is very good! And they have a special snack: a fondu with a sausage in their baguette 🥖 very original but so good! Must try their baguette with the beer yeast!

Excellent latté and pastries. Freshly made "chocolatine" was hot when I bit into it. 2nd floor has a cosy patio for enjoying the view of the river.

They baked fresh bread and their almond/ walnut croissant is delight! Lots of staff working so the service is very fast.

Excellent food. Unfortunately they were out of the ham and Brie baguettes that we wanted to try but the vege baguette was excellent as was the breakfast egg croissant. Desserts were tasty. Can either take out or eat in a nice upstairs room (with a bathroom).

Stopped here on a whim while driving and really enjoyed it! We tried a few sandwiches and bakery items, but the highlight was the egg salad & bacon croissant and the tarte au sucre. Great selection of desserts otherwise though.

I admit that when I am on holidays, especially in Quebec, that I try to find every boulangerie or patisserie I can. They offer a selection of breads, pastries, and ice cream. I believe they have some other items (like meats or pâté) in a cooler section but I can't remember for sure. The bread I tried was very hearty and dense (which is something I like). The pastry I tried was nice as well. My one complaint is that they don't indicate what breads they have with signs so it isn't as efficient as it could be for ordering. Also, as is normal for bakeries, if you want a good selection, it pays to arrive earlier in the day. On our first visit, there was pretty much nothing on the shelf to get. On the second time (earlier in the day) the selection was better. As is the norm for many smaller shops in the Gaspesie, they don't accept credit cards but will take debit.
