Very classic atmosphere. Also the service. The $25 T-bone steak was a GREAT deal. Especially with the onion soup. The waitress was so nice. Separated the soup into two so we both can tried it. We got the roasted broccolini too! Love the decorations. The only thing is a bit noisy. Otherwise everything was perfect!

Beautiful villa restaurant tucked in between two high rise buildings. Came for WoW and absolutely loved the service, the staff were interesting in talking to us and very friendly. The food was exceptional - one of us had the set menu for WoW and two ordered off the menu (love that option).

A polished, well-run establishment that largely meets expectations, but doesn’t quite justify its price point. Service was competent and the experience smooth, yet I hoped for an extra spark—tableside touches or a distinctive signature element—to make it feel special. The food was solid overall. The octopus would have benefited from a more assertive sear on the exterior, while both the lamb and venison could have delivered bolder, more pronounced flavors. Good, not great—reliable for a pleasant night out, but lacking the memorable highlights you’d expect at this cost.

Holy cow. Had my birthday dinner here and service was so lovely. Oysters were fresh, mains were amazing, and dessert was too good (especially the crème brûlée). Thoroughly enjoyed my night.

A charming little restaurant in Wellington that’s well-known and well-loved. While the menu is on the pricier side, it’s absolutely worth it for the exceptional service, impeccable food, and the overall experience. The staff are warm, friendly, and attentive, making every visit feel special. We’ve celebrated birthdays here and have never been disappointed- the food and service are consistently top-notch. There’s even a kids’ menu, which is great for families. On our most recent visit, we ordered two steaks, one lamb dish, and a kids’ fish and chips. Fresh bread and butter were served at the beginning, which was a lovely touch. For dessert, we enjoyed the tiramisu and the chocolate tart- both beautifully presented and delicious. The interior decor of the restaurant is elegant and full of charm, with a cosy, intimate atmosphere. The building architecture stands as a historical reminder of a bygone era of the colonial times with its low ceilings, wood finishes and small rooms. I especially love the cute little staircase leading to the second floor and the beautiful paintings that adorn the restaurant walls of contemporary artwork- are a tasteful classy touch that adds a modern twist to the space. Highly recommend this spot for a special occasion or a memorable night out.

When I first went to the store, I thought the service was good. But the overall experience yesterday made me feel that the experience in this store was very bad!!!! The food was very bad and the service was also very poor. !! Everyone recommended the onion soup. I tried it and found that the onion had a burnt smell and the taste was very strong. The whole soup was too strong for me and lost the original flavor of the food. It was like a bunch of food piled up and cooked together, without the fresh taste of the food itself, but a very strong taste. The steak I ordered took a long time to come🤣. I don't understand if the waiters here are trained to take a long time to serve the rice so that the restaurant can make more money. I didn't order any drinks, but they never poured me water until I asked them to. The couple at the next table ordered a lot of food for the holiday and the waiter was very nice to them. But I felt I was treated differently. I'm allergic to alcohol and can't drink it. I already told the waiter that I didn't need anything and just wanted water. But the waiter still asked me if I wanted sparkling water (which is charged). I was having dinner alone at a small table next to the couple and video chatting with my father who was in the hospital. I wanted to share the dinner with him. I didn't take a picture of that female customer at all, but she insisted that I did and wouldn't let me video chat. She asked me to turn off my phone and told me that she didn't want to see other people's faces while she was eating, especially not my father's face. We weren't even sitting at the same table. The woman at the next table said she didn't want to see my father's face. Her request was very strange to me. She and her husband were talking very loudly and disturbing me, but they wouldn't let me video chat with my father. And it was all because I didn't take a picture of her at all. Because when I was video chatting with my father, I could only see my father's face and he could only see mine. I felt that she was really very impolite and disrespectful to others. And the waiter didn't even understand the situation and just told me that I couldn't use my phone. I felt very disrespected and that the dinner I had yesterday made me feel very bad. The service in this store was also very bad. ! They directly told me that I couldn't record videos. I told them that I wasn't recording videos at all. I was just video chatting with my father and I didn't record anyone else. I felt that both this store and that customer discriminated against me because I was the only Asian person in the store and I really couldn't afford to order a lot of food like that female customer.

I had the pleasure of dining for lunch at Boulcott Street Bistro and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The lamb shank was absolutely delicious—tender, rich in flavour, and beautifully presented. The service was top notch, friendly and attentive. The ambience has a lovely old-world charm (hard to find with so many hipster options nowadays), with its classic interior and cozy atmosphere that makes you feel welcome the moment you step in. Big shoutout to the bartender—great personality and had some fantastic recommendations. Altogether, a perfect mix of quality food, warm hospitality, and a touch of timeless elegance.

Great experience. Every dish was delicious. The house was very cute and has a long history. Wish we had a chance to try more dishes! There were too less of us.
