We stayed in the two room suite and it was spacious and clean. The breakfast in the morning was nice. More importantly, we thought we had left a jacket in the room after leaving and the desk staff searched high and low for it. They could not find it because we didn't leave it there; it was stuffed in one of our ski helmets (our bad). I 100% recommend this lodge and will visit again if we head back to Nederland!

How strange to ask guests not to request additional toilet paper until the roll is depleted? This property is showing its age: worn and not very clean. In addition, there is no coffee avail on the property before 8am. Not very convenient for jet lagged travelers. None in the rooms, nor lobby. When did coffee become a luxury? Finally, breakfast was also interesting. The area blew a fuse, a known problem if more than 2 of the appliances are plugged in. That’s ok, here’s a shared butter tub with barely any left. I know you are the only hotel in Nederland, but don’t you want to do better?

Google
While this hotel is a beautiful log style, with very comfortable beds and pillows. The doors only have the magnet lock and chain. The dead bolts have been removed. The only amenity, the hot tub, was "closed during covid because teenagers kept breaking in". The included breakfast was the saddest I've ever seen. With just bagels cereal and oatmeal. No coffee makers in rooms and a rude employee at the front desk at night. We splurged on this room but feel like it wasn't worth the money.

I recently stayed at Boulder Creek Lodge in Nederland, CO, and while there were some positives, there were also a few BIG drawbacks. The room itself was nice and spacious, and the view of Boulder Creek from the window was absolutely beautiful. However, the heater in the room was also a huge issue. It made a loud popping sound every hour throughout the night, jolting me awake each time, which made it hard to get any rest. Another major disappointment was that the room was advertised as having a gas fireplace, but it was purely decorative and didn’t work. On top of that, the complimentary breakfast was pretty underwhelming, consisting mostly of children's finger foods, which didn't meet expectations. While the location and view were fantastic, these issues made the experience less enjoyable than it could have been.

We had great time at Boulder Creek Lodge with our family. The owners, Doug and Jeannie took very good care of us and made us feel right at home!

Google
Positives: Beautiful town with lots to do nearby, convenient location (Downtown, near coffee shops, local stores, market and dining), good service. Free breakfast, wasn't anything special - but it's your average hotel like breakfast. And they're dog friendly! That was a huge plus for us. Negatives: While the building is beautiful on the outside, the inside needs a little TLC. A good deep clean with some updates would make this a 5 star, in my opinion. Our room was technically clean, but as I said before, could use the occasional deep clean. Also, the stairs going up to the second floor are kinda of a pain between luggage, a dog and having mobility issues - but to be completely fair it does mention a stairs only option for any of the larger rooms. Only saying this so folks understand that the stairs they point out in the listing, are pretty steep. We had a short, one night stay, but we're grateful for a comfortable roof over our heads - in a great location. Thank you!

Google
The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The staff was friendly and helpful. I especially loved the common spaces with arcade games, board games, and comfortable furniture. The Lodge was quiet after about 10pm and never really got loud. I imagine that varies with whoever is staying there but, in general, the community seems to quiet down around 10pm. The community is a quirky Colorado mountain town…and that is awesome. There are fun coffee shops, touristy shops, and good restaurants. It is not too far of a drive from anything you may want to see but far enough off the beaten path that it didn’t get overwhelmingly crazy when we stayed in June. The community seems very focused on people being outside in nature, so there are parks, walking trails, and fishing spots. It was actually a perfect place to take my kids who have never been to CO before. We felt safe and it was an easy place for them to try hiking around for the first time. Things to note: (These are not negative things, just something to be aware of for future residents) The fridge in our room was smaller than the typical hotel fridge. No big deal, but something to be made aware of. There are still Google pictures showing they have a pool and a hot tub, but those were not open. Also, if you think you might run out of toilet paper in the middle of the night, I would ask for more before bedtime. They provided two rolls but we are a family four and we stayed for 6 nights, so we had one night that almost got interesting due to our poor planning.

Loved our room, it was very spacious and peaceful. Our room had actually two bedrooms with a bathroom in the middle, we are upstairs and it had a lovely lobby where you could play games or sit and relax. Great place. Would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
the staff was amazing due to my situation! got a room and was actually offered free service from the very nice Joanne at the front desk! 5 star review for this place! Being an outsider i was treated like a king!

Yelp
Had a nice stay here while in Nederland. Very close to everything you would want to see while in town Rooms right by the creek so you can relax and watch the world go by(several places to sit outside and people Watch) The place is old but they do a good job of keeping everything working and clean. Breakfast in the main area daily is a plus and was more than just toast and coffee. Staff do a nice job making you feel at home. They great you by name!! :-) Lots of nice seating in and out and games available to play as well in the upstairs main area

Yelp
This place has basic accomodations but it could be better. The location is great, being centrally located in Nederland. They are also dog friendly which we appreciated. The 2nd floor room was large but the mattress was worn out, the sheets were threadbare, and some of the furniture was broken, like a tv cabinet door that would swing back in front of the tv and a stained couch. The soap dispenser in the shower was empty. The wifi was slower than cellular bandwidth. We couldn't get maid service on Sunday and had to track down towels. Even though the lodge was designated as no smoking with signs posted, it smelled like weed in the public spaces. With a little more focus on operations it could be really nice.

Yelp
Came to visit my brother and needed a last minute place to stay. It was the perfect location next to a grocery store and shops.

Yelp
A very charming place to stay. The lady at the front desk is very friendly and I liked how cute our room was! I really enjoyed seeing the creek right outside our window and hearing the water flow by. One of the most relaxing experiences during a lodge stay. Almost made me wish we stayed an extra night just from how cozy it is! Also a plus for two sinks (one next to the toilet and one outside the bathroom) so it was very convenient for both of us to get ready separately.

Yelp
The room smelled like natural gas. The toxic, flammable type. The heater was on and we could not turn it off. No switch. The common areas were dusty and old. This is a great location and the only hotel in town so be prepared! We regret leaving our Sprinter at home.

Yelp
Clean. Fairly priced, staff is friendly and accommodating. My parents, sister, me and my four year old son stayed here 5 nights in a family suite. It was perfect! Thank You to all of the staff here, I am so sorry I always forget names. Also it was a pleasure meeting Roxy. Thanks Again!

Yelp
This was a wonderful place to stay in Nederland. We love the rustic charm of this boutique lodge. It's clean, quiet and people are so nice. Right in the heart of the town--in walking distance to shop or eat. Perfect location for our hiking adventures. We look fwd to staying here again.

Yelp
This place is AWESOME!!!!! ...and I'm VERY particular when it comes to hotels. From when my Bfriend made reservations, our arrival to our check... out we had a great time. Our initual plans were to only fo an overnight stay and then head up to Steamboat Springs. But I fell in love with the littke town and it's really sweet-friendly inhabitants, that we stayed an additional night. Side note on that--they were completely booked up! So when we asked for another night's stay, they informed us there were no more rooms available. But as soon as one opened up they let us know! : ) I can't remember everyone's name...(Hi Matt!!)But everyone helped us and said,"hello"... they were very friendly and helpful. So....will I stay there again? Will I recommend it to friends? Will I the Lodge five stars?... Yes!!!

Yelp
Everything about staying here was amazing! Chris at the front desk was so welcoming and funny and a wealth of knowledge. Cosy rooms, great location, 10 mins to skiing... wonderful time, we will be back! Jane Jake and Ben

Yelp
I don't really understand the other reviews. Maybe I just happen to arrive at exactly the right time and got an awesome room. (289). From the price it was the cheapest option within boulder county. They allow dogs for a $10 fee which is reasonable. Absolutely loved the bed which feels like memory foam. Staff said there was a fan in the room, but it was a full on ac unit that just had to be bright near the window. Beautiful room with a beautiful view. Awesome town and is easy to walk anywhere from here. Staff was incredibly friendly. The hot tub they have is indoors right next to the river so you can hear it. Bottom line is I love this place so much I tried to stay another night, but it's completely booked. Worth staying in. As for other reviews I've seen. I do a preliminary check when I go to hotels for bed bugs, shower working, cleanliness, etc. Everything was fine, so maybe the hotel might have had a bad recent history, but my current experience was phenomenal!

Yelp
Our stay was okay - would not return. Small hotel, only 20 or so rooms. The room (King Suite) has the bedroom first, then the living room area in the back, so you can hear all the noises from the hall in the bedroom. The bathroom was nice, and our fridge and microwave worked. The room was blazing hot, and the air features in the room did not work. There was someone sleeping on the couch in the upstairs common area that had really made himself comfortable - personal belongings (including empty alcohol bottles and prescriptions, clothing, etc.) strewn around the area as well. He was there from very early morning until mid day, so had maybe been there overnight? Didn't seem as though anyone was concerned with him being there. Proximity to the town of Nederland is great - the Very Nice brewing company was great, and pizza at Cutthroat was delish.

Yelp
We have stayed at this property every summer for three years now and just love it as a place to gather our family and friends. We'll be back next year, as well. The staff are amazing and really care about their customers. It's great to see the same wonderful people year after year--Ron, Ryan and Scott all make it a special experience. Ron's passion as manager of the property shines through and we look forward to his suggestions on places to go and things to do in the Ned area. The second floor of the hotel has a lovely gathering area with a super comfortable sofa and big chairs, as well as a big table that seats at least 10 people and a little 2-person table. We bring board games (though they do have stacks of shared games and puzzles), snacks, drinks and playlists on a laptop/phone, so that we can spend the evenings relaxing together after a nice day of hiking and other activities. You can pick up snacks at the B&F Mountain Market, drinks at the Dam Liquor Store and pizza at the Backcountry Pizza place--all right across the street. There's also outdoor seating that overlooks the creek flowing by the hotel and some additional tables/chairs on the first floor. Those are nice areas to hang out, talk and enjoy a good vacation. We don't travel with a dog, but it's worth noting that the staff members know the names of their little dog visitors! There's a tray of dog biscuits at the front desk, in addition to guest mints, and a welcoming bowl of water. This place is very "Ned" and has given us many good memories.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, Wild West feel to it. That said, the heat in our room was non-operable other than a small electric fireplace in the corner. Also, for a surprise when I woke up in the morning, no hot water. I don't mean that the water was lukewarm, I mean that it was ice cold. The continental breakfast was really good, biscuits and gravy, and Denver omelettes. All in all, I would probably stay here again, however, I would ask for a room with heat, and I would take a shower at night to see if that makes a difference. That, or maybe bathe in the horse trough, to complete the wild West theme to the vacation.

Yelp
What a great place to stay to enjoy The Happiest town of CO. The employees are so friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. You can request Creek side views and walk to friendly local haunts like The Pioneer Inn. The amenities in the rooms are generous, so if you stop on the spur of the moment, this hotel will take good care of you!

Yelp
Paying 200 dollars for one night. We asked for a room with two queen beds and got a room with a queen bed and a queen pullout couch. Fireplace works, but the air conditioning doesn't. Front desk told us to open the window and our room will cool down. That was not true the temperature in our room went from 76 to 80 in an hour. It's pretty clean and water is pretty nice, but not worth it.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay at the Lodge! The rooms were a little dated but comfortable. We slept with the windows open and could hear the creek babbling below our room. The staff was very accommodating for all of our quirks! We were even allowed to use their activity room to host the rehearsal dinner for my son's wedding. If we were ever to go back to Nederland, the Lodge would be our destination.

Yelp
Very cute Lodge decor. The staff was very helpful, showed me to my room and made sure the heater was working. Provided little amenities such as toothpaste and mouthwash. The breakfast was simple, but good. They even accommodated my later checkout. Would definitely stay here again!

Yelp
This modest, but clean and well kept, lodge was the perfect place to spend a long weekend in Nederland, CO. To begin, it is an easy drive of a little over an hour from Denver airport. It is then incredibly close to the Eldora Mountain Ski Resort! I traveled last weekend with a group to experience adaptive (wheelchair users) skiing at Eldora. Chris, who works the front desk at night, greeted us by name, and personally walk us to our rooms. We found the rooms and accommodations to be accessible for both manual and power wheelchairs. The next morning, we enjoyed a nice breakfast where more of the staff was eager to greet us and give us advice about our skiing and weather. As we were mentioning that we planned to navigate the RDT bus to get to the ski resort, but were wondering about wheelchair accessibility, they jumped in, saying that instead they would drive us up there later in the afternoon before our lesson, to ensure we made it ok! Austin, who along with his wife, helps manage and run the lodge, loaded me and another wheelchair user in his Tahoe and drove us to Eldora, stopping to let us get great picture of the mountains! We were dropped off, and when I realized I had gone to the wrong building, he graciously came back, loaded us up again, and drove us to the right spot! Seriously, a life saver. After a great afternoon of skiing, we arrived back at the Boulder Creek Lodge, to be greeted with a nice plate of lasagna (18 layers) that Austin had prepared himself! We were blown away! During our stay, they let us use the breakfast room to work and convene since we had 5 wheelchair users in our group. They were helpful to any and everything we needed! Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel as a convenient spot for skiing, and most importantly, as a place that give a very personal touch with great people running it! Thank you to the Boulder Creek Lodge!

Yelp
These people seriously care about your stay. This is a very cozy, classy and adorable lodge. The lodge is walking distance to a market and several other shops. The staff are more than excellent at making you feel welcome and they are extremely accommodating. They answer any questions and offer advice on things to do in the area. I will 100% return, they are just so great here! We came here for a wedding party and with our group of 30, the staff was always checking in with us, being so friendly and helped us with whatever we needed
google avatar

Yelp
Very friendly staff! Loved the free breakfast and small town feel. The cons were that the hot tub wasn't open, the beds were a little firm, and the shower head had barely any pressure to get soap out of your hair.
google avatar

Mark A.

Yelp
The charm of this marginally managed log fest wears thin when the bed starts squeaking. Not the door too! Man can this place use a little WD40 and a wrench and someone who cares enough to spray and turn it. Even a half-ass handyman could do wonders in seconds as most problems seem only a glance or two away from invisibility. Still, perhaps the rickety nature of this enterprise portends something more substantial. Complaints are drowned in a well of buck passing and the like. I'm pretty sure no one is actually in charge. There were no spoons for Cheerios at breakfast and screens missing on the windows and hot tub lukewarm but somehow it's all part of the charm. It's all in keeping with the high-priced slack ass hippie vibe in the town which is sure to bring out the Padre grande in you sooner rather than later. Mediocrity par excellence! http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g33564-d6733332-r308756783-Magnuson_Hotel_Nederland-Nederland_Colorado.html#

Yelp
It seems like a nice, convenient place to stay. Centrally located where you can enjoy the town, especially during Frozen Dead Guy Days first week of March. Unfortunately I reserved rooms for friends that committed to coming to the festival but all backed out. I had 3 rooms on my credit card for the weekend. I called to cancel 1 week ahead of time and they had a 2 week cancellation minimum. I was patient after talking to them, saying they would probably sell out, no worries. The entire week they were sold out on their website, and the management said it was their choice to show sold out because they didn't want to oversell. Even though they weren't sold out. They, in essence, held my credit card hostage to keep the rooms full. At first they were nice, when I pressed on the website issue they got defensive and nasty. I sort of gave up, thinking it was my fault for not cancelling the rooms in time and being the nice patient guy that I was to them....there's no way they would charge me. I mean, only nice people live in Nederland right? They charged me (not full amount, they did sell most rooms, but still) They had plenty of time in the middle of ski season and a festival to open up their website reservations and fill all the rooms for both nights. I even put up a craigslist add to help them. Still got screwed. Individually owned with the same chain mentality. Grab every penny you can, while you can.

Yelp
Oh, and get this. We (along with many of our friends) got bumped on a reservation THEY ENDED UP CHARGING US ANYWAY!?!? The worst run hotel I have ever encountered. STAY CLEAR!
google avatar

Christopher I.

Yelp
Cozy. Warm. Big Rooms. Stayed here on short notice with a few friends while adventuring on mountain roads. The beds were cozy and the rooms warm and inviting. I had zero problems with the hotel. The breakfast was pretty good too...

Mike C.

Yelp
Cute little hotel with a great location right on the roaring creek. But the staff and management are thieves and dishonest. We accidentally left some cannabis edibles and advil in the fridge, we remembered and returned about an hour later. The housecleaning cart was right in front of our room, and the staff member told me there wasn't anything found in the fridge. I told the manager I knew that was incorrect and we wouldn't be coming back, and he continued to deny they found anything. I hope the $50 of gummies was worth losing a couple who had come up 3 times in the last 6-7 weeks and were making Nederland our Covid escape destination, but we can't support a business that steals and then lies about it. We'll find another dog-friendly hotel at which we can spend our money.

Yelp
BOOK HERE!! Not only was our stay filled with value (best rates, perfect breakfast, clean rooms, awesome location and pet-friendly), but Ron and his staff are so friendly and personable making our stay that much more enjoyable. We'll be back, Ron!

Patricia R.

Yelp
A quaint lodge appearance with clean, nicely decorated rooms. I stayed two nights and the wifi was out, however the manager didn't charge me for my beagles which I felt was more than fair. Given its location in the mountains, air conditioning was not available. They did provide a fan as Indian Summer was in full gear. A good breakfast was included and the location was superior in Nederland. If you're looking for small, quiet mountain setting....this is it!
google avatar

Jeramy J.

Yelp
This place was great! Great location right on the water in walking distance to many eateries and bars. Ron was awesome! We were stranded and needed a ride to our car in Ward and Ron was such a gem he gave us a ride all the way back to our car! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
First time we stayed here to get some skiing at Eldora and avoid the I70 chaos. Great choice. Hotel room was really clean and we liked the room with a fireplace that goes on w a simple gas switch. Chris at front desk is super friendly. Breakfast in AM is fine and better than some corporate chains. Hotel is so close to all the restaurants of Nederland just walk. They do allow dogs so if that turns u off don't stay here. We will stay here again bc it was son simple instead of Summit County issues. The wings at the smokehouse across the creek from hotel are great btw!

S R.

Yelp
The staff makes this place a 5 star stay. I have never met a more accommodating, welcoming and friendly staff in anywhere we have ever stayed. We were so impressed! The breakfast was excellent and I can't believe it's complimentary. The rooms are spacious and the location is excellent. I could sing praises about Boulder Creek Lodge forever but if you are reading this you are considering staying and I definitely say you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This establishment has been sold. Upon arrival for our reservation we made in February we were told all reservations were lost during the sale and they no longer had ours. "Luckily" their family suite (1 queen, 3 twins) was available. So our group bunked in together. Not what we were expecting at all. Also the front desk attendant had zero compassion or sympathy for the situation management had put us in. This speaks volumes about the integrity of hotel management and ownership. It also taints my view of Magnuson Hotels as they were a party in the sale of the property. I will definitely think twice before I give my business to a company who would so cavalierly disregard customers during a business transaction. The room was hot, the window was broken and would not open. Clearly they know the room get's hot as it is stocked with an additional fan. We left as soon as we could to head down the road and find another hotel with more hospitality. I would recommend anyone with a reservation at this hotel triple check its existence and then cancel and book a room elsewhere.

Karen T.

Yelp
We were with a group that rented four rooms. Two of the four reservations were lost and there were no rooms us. Told us they would charge us for roll always too. Staff was not the least apologetic - openly hostile. Got the roll always and the staff actually brought sheets but we were told to go and ask one of the other rooms if they had blankets and pillows. Hot tub broken and unable to be cleaned but they were letting people in there anyway. Gross. "Breakfast": Toaster broken No plates No spoons Coffee needs refilled (but the woman who told me she needed a break before it would be refilled told me I could go make some in my room) Bottom line: the staff doesn't care about you or your experience at the hotel. Rooms are fine and can be very convenient for family given the layouts and size. But I have my doubts that they are really cleaned given the lack of pride the staff takes in doing a job right. And I would make a back up plan for breakfast - even the "Cheerios" we're bad

Jessi Lee G.

Yelp
I was traveling from out of town as part of a wedding party. I never received a confirmation of my reservation or a receipt. The roads leading up to the hotel were closed for safety reasons due to a blizzard. The whole wedding was cancelled. I called the hotel and we were told we would not be charged. More than TWO MONTHS later, I received a charge on my card. TWO MONTHS LATER. This unethical business practice is appalling. I've disputed it with my credit card and filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau. The managers names: Pamela Bovee and Patrick Odrzywolski. The email address is nedlodge@aol.com. The phone is 303-258-9463. I'm also contacting all of the people illegally charged. I'm writing reviews on EVERY SINGLE travel website I can find.
google avatar

Yelp
The front desk staff is so sweet! Love staying here when I come into town! Truly an experience not to miss. Very authentically "Nederland". If you're looking for a place with all the small town charm Ned has to offer look no further than the Magnuson!

Yelp
This is a great lil lodge nestled away in nederland. IT IS NOT A FIVE STAR HOTEL, head to Boulder if you are looking for commercialized comfort!! However it is a perfect fit for nederland and has a great wild west feel to it. The rooms are spacious and clean! We are from Georgia and have found out about the great Colorado skiing with zero lines at Eldora. We stayed at this lodge in December of 2015 and found out that the lodge is a great spot to stay if you want to stay close to Eldora and enjoy a mountain town that is not commercialized!!

Lynn J.

Yelp
Being a resident of Nederland, I stayed at the Boulder Creek Lodge while my home was being repaired. It was a "Wow" experience. The cleanliness, ambiance of the Lodge, and especially the staff and their attentiveness to my needs was beyond my expectations. While I thought of this Boulder Creek Lodge as being for travelers passing through (great choice!), it is also an amazing place to stay for anyone in the area, who has a need for lodging. So impressed! Thanks Ron and staff for your ability of making my stay so comfortable!

Melanie M.

Yelp
Very pretty. But the front desk staff is barely civil. And I have been waiting for over an hour for hot water and none yet!!! I'll take not as pretty and hot water any day. Called the front desk about it and the guy was super pissy. My guess is I am not the first guest to call him complaining....

Yelp
This must have been the most relaxing hotels I have ever stayed at. The room was well kept, had everything you need in a hotel, and great views.

Ruth L.

Yelp
Accommodating staff, very friendly and felt safe. Clean and cozy rooms. Will definitely come back

Shelly K.

Yelp
Disappointing. Since new management and ownership has taken over, this hotel has gone D-O-W-N hill! Very unorganized! I was just told (2 days before I was supposed to check in) that my reservation for Frozen Dead Guy Days has been cancelled! I was left a generic voicemail last week by the manager Alan to give him a call back in regards to my reservation. I called him back and was basically told "sorry- due to being overbooked we do not have a room for you!" This is our annual "girls trip" and I have friends flying in from Orange County, CA and Hollywood, FL for this! We have been going to this festival and staying at this hotel for the last 10 years, and always make a recurring reservation when we check out. We had made our reservation for Thursday- Sunday this coming weekend, and called about a month ago to cancel Thursday night being one of my friends decided to not fly in from Florida until Friday morning. Nothing was said at that time that they were over booked! The manager Alan told me that "unfortunately the previous manager had overbooked the hotel by 40 rooms and therefore, they could not honor our reservation." He then mentioned that because they had reservations that were booked for this weekend in November of 2014, they had to honor them first. Hmmmm.....?? I asked a few questions and mentioned that we actually made the reservation the day we checked out from FDGD last year and the dates had not been confirmed- so we made reservations for both this weekend and last weekend being it was going to be one of the two. Once the dates were confirmed on Facebook- I called and cancelled for the week we were not going. They offered to "book us for next years festival" (uh NO!) or give us names and numbers for the hotels in Boulder. We have no interest in taking a bus down the mountain after a long night of festivities to stay in Boulder- especially when we have been doing this for so long. The hotel is very convenient being right there in town-- we can walk everywhere we need to go! Very- very sad and disappointed.

Colleen R.

Yelp
Great staff. Nice ambiance. Good breakfast. But there are many amenities that don't work. Fireplaces don't work (gas). Hot tub doesn't work. Tubs in room can't hold water.

Josie M.

Yelp
Sad to say that this lodge is NOT the great get-away place that is was when we stayed a few years ago. The first tip off was the heavy lysol odor that reeked as we first walked in. Just turned my stomach - I hate that stuff. Hubby said it smelled like they were trying to cover up an outhouse smell. The place had really gone downhill, and it showed. We had reserved one of the last rooms, at nearly $200 (almost double what we have previously paid). The gal who took our reservation told Hubby that there was a 'jazz and blues' music festival in town, so the rooms were at a premium. Ok, we thought - good enough, and we may even be able to enjoy some music whilst there. HA! Turns out, it was 'NedFest', and more like a Phish or Dead fest, with the whole little town was full of barefoot, dreadlocked, stinky folks. And most of these hippies smoked and had attitude! No worries, we thought, we can make our own adventure.HA! Got to bed last night around 11:30pm, and was looking forward to a peaceful, quiet sleep. Round about midnight, you could hear people coming and going throughout the halls, talking loudly and banging doors, and then the music started. And I didn't think much of it as I thought it would settle down soon. I mistakenly thought it was from the festival, but no, it was from the room next door. The music was continuous, with a bass beat very loud on each song. About 2am, we called the front desk, and it immediately went to voice mail. We called the room, and that went to voice mail. Then you could hear a gal out our open window say something like 'now they are calling?' Like she may have been partying outside with the music on inside??? But the music continued .... until 5AM!!!! Maddening! During that time, we called and visited the front desk a few more times to ask for relief, to no avail. We also discovered at that time that the lodge hall doors were not only unlocked, but propped open with a large rock. Extremely unsafe. When we mentioned this to the desk clerk this morning, she was nonchalant and gave no compensation whatsoever. We did get the owner's card, and we will attempt to take it up with him. Needless to say, what a waste of what was a lovely place to visit. And a big waste of money, and time. We will NOT be returning there, unless they change their operations, security, and attitude.

Yelp
This is the third year I have stayed at this hotel with a retreat group. Each year it has gotten worse, but this year was the worst! The door lock on our room did not work- we had to leave the door propped open when we were gone. It was the last room available, so we took it anyway, they did not charge us. The windows on the ground floor would not close all the way or lock on several of the rooms. The sheets on one of our beds were dirty- no, not just dirty, they had BLOOD on them. The staff was extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. Several in our party got locked out of their rooms when they returned in the evening, and could not get ahold of any staff to let them in their rooms. Shower went from burning hot to ice cold over and over. One of the women had an u identified animal in her room that actually moved around food and chewed on it. Not just a mouse. Need I say more? Don't stay here.

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Nederland Best Western. Spotless rooms. Friendly staff. Great decks. Walking distance to everything! Can't wait to return. Be sure and try Back Country Pizza across the parking lot for happy hour.

Yelp
We have enjoyed staying here every year since the kids were small. We always get a King bed with adjoining living room with a sofa bed. This year, they switched it so that the king bed is in the larger room and the sofa is in the cozier room deeper in. Good choice! It feels so much larger overall. The rooms are always very clean, well stocked, and quiet (I always bring earplugs to any hotel though). There is a microwave, a small fridge, and a small extra sink outside of the large bathroom. Between all of this, the updated TVs, and the pine wood ceiling and furniture, the place feels very comfortable. The king bed has just the right amount of firmness. This place would be a five star except that I don't like it that they accept dogs. Nothing against dogs - we have our own, but barking in the room and knowing how dogs can be in a new environment I feel that it's a service that they don't have to offer.
