Staff were great. Room was clean however several things were dated and our room had some small issues. Lights didn't function properly. Microwave was damaged toilet had no power behind its flush which was a hassle. No cleaning took place during our stay or freshened our towels. We did ask staff for some small things on 3 small occasions such as fresh towels or 1 extra laundry soap and got denied both times! The amount of money spent here and to have this not be top tier is crazy. We will stay loyal to universal properties. Their premium hotels maintain high standards on everything!

My husband, 12 year old daughter, and I spent the first week of February in one of the studios and absolutely fell in love with Boulder Ridge! The lobby with its cozy outstretched rooms is such a great environment. I'm still dreaming of the lobby smell! (If you know, you know!) The pool and hot tub area provided such a necessary reprive from the parks. I will truly miss this resort. The chaos, crowds, increasing prices, decreasing magical perks, and just general f*#%ery has left us really finished with the Disney Parks. But I will absolutely entertain the idea of a (no park) night or two here again, maybe for Christmas? It really is that lovely. The cast members were amazing as well. Our final morning, I was down in the BR lobby and Donald, Goofy and Pluto walked in! It was such a wonderful surprise and such a great way to cap off my Disney experience.

This place was an unexpected surprise. We went to Disney and wanted something with a kitchen for my Wife and Daughter who have special dietary requirements. Wilderness lodge is one of my favorite resorts so we decided to try the Boulder Ridge Villas. Fantastic rooms. the building is great with the same feel as the lodge. and as always the people are incredible. I would definitely come back and would highly recommend to anyone.

We bought DVC in 2023 and our home is Boulder Ridge Villas. We are so happy with our choice!! Just a boat ride away to the Magic Kingdom!! The resort is beautiful, and we feel special here. That feeling sealed the deal!!

Not a lot of seating for downtime in rooms where everyone can be comfortable and together other than that location transportation and service was great

Beautiful resort, tucked away in a great location close to Magic Kingdom. Bathrooms are very small and cramped. Food choices here a wonderful.

Boulder Ridge has many activities at the resort without even going to the parks. Tie-dyeing, painting, air hockey, pool, corn hole, scavenger hunt (Hidden Mickeys), movies, and more.

We had a 1 bedroom villa. The room is small as expected. The flow of the room was clunky and the workmanship was sub par, leading me to believe that quality control is lacking. The paint drippings and unmatching wall texture show they just rushed the renovations with lower standards. The resort itself is beautiful, and the service is great. The kitchenette station is poorly designed. The dishwasher blocks the silverware drawer from opening, and the refrigerator door opens backward because it doesn't fit right in the right space. The kitchen was adequate for our needs but on the lower end for any hotel suite. The beds and bedding were comfortable with plenty of closet space. The bathroom shower was small, and water pressure wasn't very strong. The shower door seals had gaps that allowed water to soak the floor every time the shower was used. I could complain about many little things that aren't Disney standards; but that's not my intention here. At the end of the day, we had a great time and the kids loved the stay. The major takeaway was quality control.

Yelp
This is a great resort with large and spacious rooms. It is one of the older areas of the resort, but it is one of my favorites. In fact, I like staying here more than I do copper Creek except for the cabins at Copper Creek, which I also enjoy a great deal

Yelp
I can't really complain about anything here. Wilderness Lodge has always been one of my favorite Disney properties and the Boulder Ridge Villas simply take it to another level of comfort. It's one of the better Disney vacation club properties and it reminds me of the similar offerings at The Contemporary resort area, though the latter had bigger rooms which I give the edge to vs this. However it's a no-brainer to stay here if you can. The villa is very well appointed, clean and simply lovely. The bed is comfortable and the pull out Murphy bed that's well hidden over the couch was excellent. I slept on that for a week and had no sleep issues whatsoever. The kitchen was decent sized, the showers and bathtub were fine and the washer and dryer was very convenient. We had some nice treats waiting for us in the room and a fully stocked fridge which was helpful. The AC worked fine, the balcony had a nice view etc. Pretty much anything you could ask for that was great, it was here. If we have to split hairs my only thing was we only had one toilet in the room that was separated by a bunch of weird doors. It looked like the strange closet in the bathroom was meant to be another toilet but converted into a closet space, and it was inconvenient to have a family share only 1 toilet. But beyond that the whole experience was great. Also people know Wilderness Lodge has a few great dining options along with a boat that goes to other nearby properties and The Magic Kingdom. That is a nice bonus (albeit not as convenient as the monorail at The Contemporary). All in I highly recommend this property

Yelp
HIDDEN GEM AT WILDERNESS LODGE The Carolwood Pacific Railway Room is a hidden gem at the Wilderness Lodge. Located in the DVC Boulder Ridge Villas, the Railway Room is a wing off the lobby. The Railway Room is a cozy hideaway for those who need a break from the Disney park mania. The large reading room has tables and chairs as well as comfortable rocking chairs in front of a stone fireplace. Photos, train models and other memorabilia fill the room. Large windows look out to the surrounding woods. We were lucky to catch the second half of the Wonders of the Lodge Art & Architecture Tour (free daily tour) given by Alan, a Cast Member who has lived and breathed Disney his entire life. With his knowledge of all things Disney and his own personal life stories, Alan brought to life the black and white photos and memorabilia displayed in the Railway Room. Thank you Alan :o) We noticed that many hotel guests visit this room. It's a shame that Disney does the tour only in the morning when most guests are at the parks.

Yelp
Highly Recommend. Would stay again and again and again. Boulder Ridge is the "condos" portion of Wilderness Lodge. If you want the Luxury Cabins, go to Copper Creek. There's so much to like that I'll just put everything in bullet form: - Now access to Magic Kingdom using the Red Launch boat. - Full kitchen - Large bath with separate shower and tub, three different sinks and a separate "room" for the toilet. - washer and dryer - hair dryer - soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion - three different pools, one of them is full-on play pool for kids with those water spouts and giant dumping buckets. - outdoor evening movies - backyard section that makes you feel like you're in the woods - a waterfall - bus shuttles to all theme parks, water parks and Disney Springs (outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment). - a small convenience store - a couple of restaurants - spa - view of nighttime fireworks from Magic Kingdom... and the outdoor sound system are synced up so you get to experience the music as if you were at the park itself!

Yelp
IF YOU OR A LOVED ONE IS A WHEELCHAIR USER DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!!!! I attempted to stay here with my mom. We told the resort that we would be getting in after midnight. When we got there, there was no handicap parking. We were staying at Kidani Village the next night. We were told by the customer service line to go in and explain our situation. When I did that, I was told that we were out of luck: we had to park wherever we could find parking in the ONE small lot and WALK 5 BUILDINGS over with our luggage with my mom's completely dead wheelchair. We ended up not staying there because we couldn't actually get to the room. I expected better from a DVC resort.

Yelp
This was our first time staying at Boulder Ridge, but definitely won't be the last. This resort is beautiful. From the moment you walk into the main lobby you experience Disney wonder. We stayed in a one bedroom villa. Both the main area and the bedroom had balconies. Believe it or not sitting out there you forget you're in the midst of one of the busiest places in the area. The room is equipped with a full kitchen, washer/dryer (which is always great), and a huge bathroom/shower/garden tub. There are a few "sitting" areas in the lobby as well as the DVC area. They have rocking chairs around a dual-sided fireplace. Of course you have access to all of the Disney transportation, which includes a boat to MK, or busses to the other parks.

Yelp
This is a stunning disney hotel option. This was by far our favorite hotel stay to date and we frequent Disney once to twice a year. When we arrived the staff was so friendly, welcoming us by name even our daughter & son, and offering to take a family photo for us in the lobby. Our room wasn't ready till after three, but we were able to enjoy one of the pools which was super convenient. Before heading to Disney Springs Chip & Dale and Daisy were in the walkway by the buses, so special! Characters randomly come to the hotel but only downside there is you don't know when so this was our only character run in during our 5 day stay. We stayed in a one bedroom villa at boulder ridge and it was perfection. The theming is so special, beautiful artwork in the room, it was recently renovated and it is comfy, cozy and a great floor plan for families. Our daughter loved the murphy bed which pulled out over the couch in the living room. The bedroom has a king bed which was also very comfortable. So so much storage everywhere, two big closets, dressers for clothes in the living and bedroom as well as under the bed storage for your luggage. Room service was incredible, Our room was always cleaned when we returned, some days by 12-1 oclock which was awesome! We were on the first floor which was so convenient, quick walk over to the quiet family pool which we preferred going to! There are no lifeguards but its a zero entry pool great for kids and tubes are allowed which they aren't at the big pool. The larger pool is a quick walk and while nice there was very limited seating. There is a fun splash area there for younger kiddos but it got very busy with kiddos running all around. Not ideal for our two year old. I do wish the temperature of the pools was cooler. On a hot day, I wanted to cool off going in and the pool feels like a warm tub haha not ideal for me personally. A major plus for this hotel is how quiet it is! Listen we have two kids, who are not quiet lol but when in our room we never heard a peep around us. There is also plenty of food options which we tried all of so you can really spend so much time here when you are not at the parks. The price tag is higher but we found a great rate when the summer specials were running and our room was 25% off. Our room was $300 less a night than normal so take that into consideration, it was a great great deal and we had a wonderful experience here. Next time we hope to explore fort wilderness, we didn't have time to even get there but there's so much to do on property. Wonderful, Magical stay here, you won't regret it.

Yelp
Terrific Disney resort ! We had a villa with queen bed, pull out sofa and Murphy type bed under TV. The room also had microwave, refrigerator and small counter area. The entrance to villas is charming and I don't know what smell they pump in the area but it smells very nice. There is a concierge at the entrance . I believe his name was Kirk and he was delightful! The villas are just a short walk from main lodge . The villas have their own pool and hot tub right behind. The main pool with slide is a short walk . There is also a bar/ restaurant near the pool area . Great service- not a huge selection of dining options but enough of a selection to find something to satisfy you. Quick boat ride to magic kingdom! Can't wait to return !

Yelp
We have been Disney Vacation Club members for 20+ years. Love all things Disney without being over the top. This is our home resort, we love the pool, staff, quick service restaurants and other amenities, BUT it is time to redecorate and update the HVAC system! The air is stale and moldy! It never fails that we start having allergy problems here....we leave with sinus problems every time! It smells like mildew...towels and clothes NEVER dry unless they are put in the dryer...COME ON DISNEY! Our guests even got sick at the end of this visit too! It's embarrassing! At least change the dirty carpet and window treatments!

Yelp
These little villas are great! About 10 years ago we stayed in a 2-bedroom, which was HUGE. This summer we stayed in a 1-bedroom: this means there is one room with bathroom with a living room, kitchen, and second bathroom attached. They are a little outdated but clean and comfortable nonetheless!

Yelp
Wonderful stay! We will defiantly come back again. We stayed here for 4 days and were in the deluxe room which had 1 queen, 1 sofa bed and a child bed. Rooms are smaller but I don't think this is an issue when you are travelling with younger children. The entire place was decorated for Christmas, very relaxed atmosphere would think you are in Colorado! Pros: Clean resort great room perfect for family of 4 boat ride to magic kingdom ample bus rides to other parks good restaurants in wilderness lodge (connected) wonderful laid back ambiance. Cons: Rooms might feel smaller if children are older.

Yelp
Great resort to stay during the Christmas season, great activities for everyone. They have an amazing bar and grill right outside and they have a fire pit where you can roast marshmallows and make s'mores.
