I would describe Boulder Orthopedic as a high-volume surgical practice. The surgical procedure itself was handled competently, and my knee replacement outcome was acceptable, but not exceptional.
That said, the care felt transactional. Consultations were brief. I actually feel a Doctor focused on healing, not just the next surgery, may have advised a different path. Post-op follow-up felt minimal, and the recovery process lacked meaningful engagement. Despite having a large staff, there was a consistent sense that everyone was too busy to provide individualized attention. The staff seems very disorganized at times.
The in-house physical therapy was average at best. For athletes or patients expecting a more hands-on, recovery-focused experience, I would recommend considering other options. I ultimately hired my own PT and was far more competent and engaged.
