Boulevard Palace Hotel.... indeed, the hotel lived up to its name.
Firstly, it was along a boulevard, in fact, a major road into Monrovia. Yet it was immune to the expected hustle and bustle you'd expect in such a location (minimal noise, clean air, etc).
Next, it was a palace. From the reception, the welcome by the front desk, their efficiency, the waiting area, the corridors, you just name it, it is palatial.
The rooms... truly palatial, clean, comfortable, and had all you need. I wasn't too impressed with the "fridge," which was only a cooler and really didn't make things that cold.
The meals were truly made for royalty. There was an array of local to continental cuisines for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. In fact, I would say the portions were quite big. Their fried plantain was always on point 👌🏾
Finally to the staff...
They were all wonderful, except that they rarely smiled.
It sometimes helps make the customer bot to feel they're overbearing.
However, one or two of them stood out, the guy at the reception (I sincerely apologise, I can't remember your name cause you deserve mentioning) and Gifty from the restaurant. They were both polite and knew when to strike up and keep some conversation. They always had a welcoming smile and made sure we we were satisfied with whatever request we had.
Overall, the staff were professional in their dealings.
