My husband & I just completed our 2nd Boundless Journeys adventure. Last year we hiked the Dolomites & this year we did the Alps Adria trip. We are totally happy with our travel experiences. Both trips were excellent. As a company, Boundless Journeys is very organized & reliable. The guides have been terrific. The trips have been seamless. The level of fitness required has been well defined & accurate. We highly recommend Boundless Journeys as a travel company and we hope to travel with them again next year.

All throughout the journey, we eye the Fitz Roy mountain amongst cloudy & clear skies, but the hike up to De Los Tres Lagoon is one for the books and the views are UNBELIEVABLE! Just returned from Japan: Hiking the Nakasendo. Had an exceptionally good time--felt like a truly Japanese experience--historic Kyoto, hiking the less traveled roads, beautiful vistas, exquisite shrines, temples, gardens, delicious foods & sake experience, lovely accommodations in Japanese inns, hot spring baths, tea ceremony, meditation session... Had a blast! Our guides, Toshi and Naoko were superb--informative, fun to be with, patient, and kind. Recommend highly. 🥾⛩

In November of 2024 I took a 12 day trip with Boundless Journeys It was billed as a Hiking and Cultural Tour of Bhutan. The guide and the driver were excellent. The participants were not physically prepared to go hiking. One participant could not even get out of the van without help. The trip was a big disappointment for me. No one went with me except a guide on one hike. A guide had to be hired for another planned hike that no one else could physically go on. When 2 of the guests did go on hikes they had to be almost led by hand up and down the trails. Helped over logs and any obstruction on the trail.They were not in any way shape or form prepared to hike the trails on this trip. It was depressing. Why were these people not asked about their hiking ability and fitness? Boundless just took their money and put them on the trip. I would never trust this company again.

Had a fantastic experience with Boundless Journeys on their Palau Snorkeling and Kayaking trip earlier this month. Very small group, knowledgeable and friendly guide, great accommodations and food and Palau was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.

We have been on 5 BJ trips in Europe, Iceland, and South America. We have one scheduled for Europe and another for New Zealand. There is probably another dozen on their destination list that we will take including Ireland, Scotland, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Africa and Asia. The guides are always friendly and super knowledgeable. The hotels are top-notch. The hiking itineraries range from easy to challenging and always provide spectacular scenery. Likely the most impressive part of each trip has been the food. The local restaurants and overall dining experiences are great, at least, and range to spectacular. No need to pack snacks or worry about finding places to eat in the multi-city tours. We have met very friendly, like-minded travelers on our trips. We are actually doing the Dolomites tour in Sept with multiple folks we met on previous trips. The Vermont based tour managers are knowledgeable (I believe most, if not all, have taken the tours they manage), friendly and always ready to help with before/after tour arrangements/activities. We always arrive at least a couple of days before the tour begins in case of any travel hiccups (so far there have been none, and we have enjoyed the days before exploring on our own). Really can't say enough great things about Boundless. We wouldn't use any other tour company.

I recently returned from my second trip with Boundless Journeys. The first was to Botswana and this time to Rwanda, especially for gorilla tracking. I cannot praise them enough for orchestrating a flawless travel adventure, yet again. From the initial stages of planning, they provide outstanding personal customer service. All details are taken care of making this a stress-free experience. Their itineraries are fascinating and well thought through, local guides are very knowledgeable and professional and activity options are varied, allowing for experiences beyond the expected. I have always been very pleased with accommodations and meals. Solo travelers like myself will feel very comfortable as they will be well taken care of and meet the nicest fellow travelers along the way.
