I had the good fortune of staying at the Bourbon Manor recently for a girlfriend trip. One of our friends wasn't feeling well and thankfully we were able to get in early so she could rest while the rest of us enjoyed the lunch train ride. We stayed in the Federal Guest House. It was the perfect for a couples or friends get away. The bedrooms were very cozy and the common space was perfect to relax and enjoy each others company. The breakfast was fresh and superb. Best of all Todd and anyone we encountered on the staff were the perfect southern hosts. I highly recommend.

My wife and I had a great stay at Bardstown B&B. The property is beautiful and peaceful, and the whole experience felt personal and welcoming. We spent some time in the barn bar with Jojuan—he was kind, easy to talk to, and very accommodating. One of the highlights of our stay. Breakfast was excellent, and Todd was super friendly and made us feel right at home. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Bardstown. Highly recommend.

Our experience at the Bourbon Manor was phenomenal! Service was excellent—Todd was so friendly when greeting each guest at breakfast each morning. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented—we loved the breakfast desserts glazed with sweet bourbon-infused sauce. Jojuan was a fabulous bartender—he makes great cocktails and is very personable. The property and houses are beautiful. We stayed in the Magnolia Maiden room and loved that it was quiet and comfortable. Next time we are in the area, we won’t hesitate to stay here again!

If I could give them 10 stars, I would! Not only is the property beautifully maintained and conveniently located, but the entire staff is incredible. Todd and Tyler are the most accommodating hosts who are invested in providing the best experience for their guests. The bartender, Jojuan, for their on-site bar is so much fun and makes delicious cocktails and even mocktails for the non-drinkers. The cleaning staff is so sweet and together they all create a welcoming and homey atmosphere that keeps us coming back time and again. Highly recommend!

The Bourbon Manor Bed and Breakfast Inn was AMAZING!! “J” made us feel so welcome and comfortable at the beautiful inn! He went above and beyond, being attentive with all services! And he did a wonderful job advising us of a delicious nightcap each evening! Each morning Todd whipped up an exceptional breakfast!! He, too, was so hospitable and tremendously attentive to detail! My husband and I had a wonderful weekend celebrating our anniversary here!!! We will DEFINITELY return!! 😁

This was the first experience at Burbon Manor for my husband and I, but I certainly hope it's not the last! The rooms were beautifully decorated in period pieces, yet very comfortably updated! And I can't say enough about the breakast experience! Todd is the perfect host, as he serves and describes each delicacy and sometimes imparts the history of Manor and the area. Tyler is the chef of all chefs! The food is not only excellently and beautifully presented, but is deliciously mouth-watering PERFECT! Jojuan, the bartender, makes tasty drinks and brings the entertainment for evenings at the on-site bar! It's the total experience and I highly recommend it!

Recently spent the night here while enjoying Bardstown. This was our second time staying here and it was just as enjoyable as the first time. Rooms are great and the new barn with bar is awesome. The staff are very nice and helpful and breakfast the next morning was great. Location to distilleries and anything else was super convenient. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed in the ground floor master distillers den at the Bourbon Manor for two nights this week as we were attending a monthly supper club dinner at Jim Beam Distillery. The room itself was lovely and very nicely appointed. Beware the bathroom is very tiny. Fortunately we are not large people so we made the best of it. Upon arrival there was a sign on the manor door to check in at the black building where the bar is. We were checked in by the very nice bartender who informed us that we could lot park near our room as our Lincoln Navigator was too big and we have to park over by the.Bar after we unloaded. This was the first issue. Although it clearly states on the website breakfast is served at 8:30 and 9:30, the bartender said they were serving at 9 AM. As this would not work for us with our schedule we requested breakfast at 8:30 as the website stated. He said he’d advise the kitchen but when my husband went over there at 8:10 to check on that, he was told they hadn’t been advise of our need by the bartender. Unfortunately we were served at 9:00, so we didn’t get the opportunity to enjoy much of the lovely breakfast and were ultimately late for our appointment. This was the second issue. The next morning my husband drove the car over to our room to load up before breakfast and when we drove our car back to our designated spot by the bar there was someone else parked there, so we parked on the gravel across from it. As we started walking toward the manor for our breakfast a man came out to the front of the building and literally started screaming at us that we were blocking his driveway and we responded that we didn’t see any driveway and he went nuts saying we were rude and to move our car immediately. It was a very strange encounter as the man who said he was the owner continued to scream at us. This was the third issue … three strikes and you’re out! At this point we felt very unwelcome and decided we better skip our breakfast and get out of there before the confrontation got worse. We are 77 year old seniors and very non confrontational, do safer for us to just quietly exit. What started as a nice experience, ended very badly. Unfortunately, we didn’t feel like we got our $600. worth and certainly did not appreciate the verbal abuse from one of the “owners”. Based on our encounter I certainly would not recommend staying here.

Yelp
What a great place in the heart of bourbon country. Rooms are nice, breakfast was great but the best feature was the onsite Bourbon bar. After dinner we came back to the bar for cocktails and it was just a great way to wind down at the end of the day.

Carl S.

Yelp
This is the best B&B in Bardstown Ky! The owners and staff are brilliant. Rooms are beautiful, nice outside patio for cigars and drinks, onsite Barn bar that serves wonderful cocktails handcrafted by Jojuan. If you're thinking about staying here, just do it.

Yelp
A beautiful and well kept B&B. We enjoyed our stay in the Mint Julep room. Breakfast was fantastic!

Andrew W.

Yelp
A very relaxing and informative time in the bar, and a beautiful room for a good night's sleep. We will come back for a longer stay.

Yelp
We met friends here for a long weekend getaway and we're really pleased with the rooms, breakfast and great bourbon! Stephanie and her crew are awesome and make you feel right at home. We'll be back!

Yelp
Have stayed here twice. The service and food are excellent! Todd is an exceptional host. Will book again for next year.

Yelp
This is our 3rd time staying at Bourbon Manor and it never disappoints! This such an amazing place with incredible breakfast and an outstanding atmosphere. It is perfectly located to make exploring many of the Kentucky distilleries easy. Stephanie, the guest service manager is awesome. Thank you, Todd and Tyler, for always being such great hosts!

Elaine F.

Yelp
We just returned from a wonderful visit at Bourbon Manor. First of all, don't be concerned about the location. Once you enter the gate, you're transported to another time. Stephanie and Todd are the front of the house people, and both are warm and so very helpful with suggestions for the best restaurants and places of interest. Tyler is the chef, and his breakfasts are amazing! After just 3 days, we felt like family and found it sad to leave. Highly recommended!

Yelp
The Bourbon Manor is less than a mile outside of town and situated at the end of a short road nestled on a piece of property full of trees, greenery and landscaping. The house is gorgeous, the grounds are well maintained and the management is warm and inviting. Stephanie will greet you upon arrival and get you situated and prepare a cocktail if you want one. She's very attentive and a delight. The owners are kind and generous with their time and prepare memorable breakfasts that include 'breakfast dessert'. The Bourbon Manor is a great choice- don't hesitate to book!

Yelp
I have not stayed in many B&Bs, but this one sure sets the bar high. My husband and I visited for a weekend getaway in March for my birthday. I want to reiterate how accommodating and helpful the owners are. They were more than willing to provide history on the house as well as recommendations for activities and meals. We stayed in the Sweet Old Fashioned room. Our room was relaxing and comfortable. There is something magical about being able to slide your slippers on and walk across the hall to a deliciously prepared breakfast. The breakfast exceeded my expectations. We had the privilege of having breakfast here two separate mornings. We had the option to choose what time we would like to eat. The best part was the "breakfast dessert" each day. Would recommend this B&B without reservation. We have already recommended this hotel to family and hope to visit again soon.

Yelp
What a great find! This bed and breakfast is in the heart of the bourbon trail and is the perfect place for a quick get away. We were able to stay in the honeymoon suite which was absolutely beautiful!! Breakfast in the morning was served by one of the owners and was delicious! Eggs in a crescent basket, fresh fruit, breakfast potatoes and the absolute best sausage patties. I can't wait to return!

Molly W.

Yelp
Stephanie is amazing!!! She makes the best old fashioned I have ever had. And I lived in New Orleans for 10 years!!! Not only is she an amazing mixologist but she is a kind hostess and made staying at the Bourbon Manor a highlight of our trip. We wont stay anywhere else

Kim G.

Yelp
My husband and I just got away for a weekend getaway. Todd and Tyler have a beautiful B&B with so much history. They were busy all weekend but we were treated as if we were the only guests! The owners, Todd and Tyler were very friendly. Todd is extremely knowledgeable about the area and had excellent recommendations on local things to see and do. We were treated to a hearty restaurant quality breakfast every morning. The home home and grounds are well cared for. We stayed in the Master Distiller's Den room. The room had all the essentials and was very cozy with a private entrance. The location is perfect as you're next to the My Old Kentucky Dinner Train, and a short distance to downtown. I can not wait to visit here again!

Yelp
Historical bed and breakfast in Bardstown. I would have given this B and B 5 stars except for the noise from obnoxious guests and lack of response from management when noise occurred. We stay at B and B's because they are usually peaceful and quiet compared to hotels. Maybe it's Bardstown itself that was the problem with Bourbon Manor. The large number of distilleries in the area and restaurants with Bourbon themed everything seem to encourage heavy drinking. On our second weeknight stay we went to bed early after a lovely hike in Bernheim Forest only to be awakened at 10:15 pm by guests playing the piano and singing loudly in the common room. This is a very old home with thin walls so there is no escaping noise from other guests. I went into the hallway but the guests were obviously drunk so I did not confront them. I have learned the hard way not to attempt to speak rationally with intoxicated people. I looked for the emergency phone number on the front desk which Amanda had shown us when we checked in. I called the number but was only able to leave a message on the machine. I called the main number and left a message on that machine as well. The owners do not live in this B & B but are in a separate home on the property. No response. Eventually at 11:05 pm they stopped playing the piano and singing off key and trudged upstairs to their room where we heard them stomping around for another hour until they stopped thankfully. In the morning the owner was very apologetic about the insensitive guests and not getting our message until the following morning. The breakfasts were excellent each morning. I am not opposed to drinking,in fact we tried some bourbon in the on-site bar "The Bunghole". Perhaps this issue was partly our fault thinking we could have a restful peaceful stay in a town that encourages heavy drinking.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed there3/24-3/26 on a referral from a friend who lives in Lexington. It was fantastic! Stephanie did a great job checking us in. We stayed in the room with the queen and twin beds. Great for families, but it was just my husband and I. Super small bathroom. Room was very clean and lots of windows. We met Todd and Tyler who were so nice. Stephanie made us an Old Fashioned after we were settled. Fantastic mixologist! In the mornings, Todd was a fantastic server and Tyler's breakfast was incredibly delicious! We were able to charge our Tesla! We already scheduled for October in a different room. It is an A++++ place! Oh yah... Sophia and Pappy are adorable house dogs! Thank you and we'll see you in October!

Yelp
This is our second time being guests of The Bourbon Manor, and we have also been guest at Maple Hill Manor as well. Both properties are amazing, well kept, civil war era homes. So expect some early wood working with these buildings. We love the history of these homes, the comfort of the beds, and warm welcoming we have received each time we come. Todd and Tyler are amazing host, and we couldn't as for more from them....overly accommodating! Breakfast is always amazingly good, a great way to start the day with a home cooked meal, and you get to choose what time you eat the night before. They have a great bar on site, according to some other reviews, but unfortunately it is closed Monday-Wednesday. That won't stop Tyler or Todd from getting you a cocktail if you desire. From what I gather, they have a great bourbon selection. We highly recommend the Mint Julep room, it is our favorite. We will always choose to be a guest of Bourbon Manor when visiting Bardstown. Thank you Todd and Tyler for another wonderful stay!!! P.S. I wonder if they found the minor redecorating I did...lol

Yelp
Highly recommend Bourbon Manor Inn. Great experience. Beautiful Inn - so grand; the room was huge, clean, comfortable, nicely decorated. The hosts were excellent, accommodating, welcoming & courteous. They helped plan the stay in Bardstown -- from weeks ahead to during the stay. Enjoyed the Bungehole Bar on premises as well.

Yelp
Repeat visitor. Breakfast never fails to exceed expectations! Rooms are big and nice. It's an old place so don't expect high end everything. Todd and Tyler run a nice place. If you don't like dogs... well, maybe buck it up as it's worth it.

Yelp
What a beautiful place! Loved the grounds and the close-proximity (walking distance) to downtown Bardstown. The rooms were very elegant and it really felt like you're stepping back into time (in a good way!) staying here. The breakfast was so good! One of the best Breakfasts we had on our trip!

Yelp
I don't stay at a lot of B&B's but every now and then, i get a chance to stay at one. Bourbon Manor is super charming and quaint. The innkeeper, Todd, is very pleasant and helpful. For the "Bed" part, my wife and i stayed in the Magnolia Maiden room on the second floor of their Federal House. The room is spacious, and wonderfully appointed with a very comfortable bed, nice sheets, and high quality towels. The house was built in 1810, so my wife was hoping to see a ghost or two. But none were seen. :) The "Breakfast" part was served in the main house, just a few steps away. There's a dining room with half dozen or so tables. Breakfast is freshly made and graciously served by Todd. I am lactose intolerant so Todd made sure that every morning, they make something specifically for me, that I can eat. Thank you Todd!!! Loved the bourbon pancake balls drizzled with chocolate syrup!!! They have 2 dogs, forgot their names, but they are super sweet and friendly. My wife and I really enjoyed staying here and we hope to be back in the area in the future. If we are, we'll definitely be staying here again.

Yelp
Wonderful B&B. Rooms are unique, well done and comfortable. Historic decor and antiques compliment the setting. Hosts and staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Breakfast was gourmet and a real highlight after a great and fun evening prior. Highly recommend. Worth a trip! Can't wait for our next visit. PS- bar on premises is a a hidden gem. Hundreds of bourbons in stock plus a solid list of signature cocktails add to the experience. Do not miss, a must see.

Yelp
We enjoyed our overnight stay at this Bourbon inspired B&B. I have stayed at many B&B's over the years and really enjoy the variety and personal touches they tend to offer. Being a historic property in Bardstown, this one had the beauty and charm you would expect. The owners, Todd and Tyler, are courteous hosts. The breakfast was perfect prepared and just the right size to not leave you stuffed yet feeling full. I especially enjoyed the chocolate waffle with bourbon chocolate sauce. A night overnight destination for couples or friends to explore the Bardstown area.

Nanette K.

Yelp
This place is really quaint. The manager, Amanda, left lots to be desired, but the owners are really wonderful.

Yelp
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Bourbon Manor in the Bourbon Smokehouse Cottage in June. We loved the accomodations that were perfect for our short visit. Our furry kids even a fenced-in yard to play in. The breakfast at BourbonMy Manor was outstanding each morning. Craig andI looked forward to it every day. It was a true delight to interact with Todd, one of the hosts, who served those delicious breakfast meals and gladly answered any questions we had. We are definitely thinking about making another trip to Bardstown and staying at this beautiful B&B again. A lovely place indeed.
google avatar

Katie A.

Yelp
My husband and I visited the Bourbon Manor for our 1 year anniversary and absolutely loved it! We stayed in the smokehouse cottage and everything about it was so beautiful from the king-sized loft bedroom to the front porch where we had our coffee in the morning! The breakfast was delicious, and the on-site bourbon lounge was a perfect place to end the day. Todd was very friendly and made us feel very welcome! We were sad to leave, but knowing we were traveling to their sister property (Maple Hill Manor) for our next night made it a little better!! Will definitely be back!

Jim G.

Yelp
Amazing B&B. Highly recommend this establishment if you are in the Bardstown area. The staff were courteous and friendly. The room was amply furnished with a private bath. The breakfast was Amazing. Even had its own bar area where all the guests could meet and mingle. We will be staying here next time we are in town.

Marken O.

Yelp
My wife and I stayed here on a trip through Bardstown to visit the distilleries as a Father's Day present. What a great weekend! When we arrived we were greeted by our hosts right away and we immediately felt at home. It was more like coming to visit family you hadn't seen in a while. Our room was wonderful. Nicely appointed, clean and crisp. The bed had about a dozen pillows so my wife was in heaven. There is a great little lighted patio where I had intended to smoke a cigar and enjoy a little bourbon, but a sudden lightning storm changed that plan. We will be back again though so next time around I will make good on that. The breakfast the next morning was amazing. Hot, plentiful, and delicious. Everything I could ask. Just a great experience through and through!
google avatar

Yelp
I planned a weekend getaway for my husband's birthday and this was the last place that we stayed. We reserved the SmokeHouse and overpaid at $300/night for a project room that has a lot of projects to do. It was an excellent idea but the craftsmanship is for diy for the unexperienced diy-er. The shower handle that turns water on could be detached/reattached for your entertainment. The shotty tile work in the shower and around the fireplace was interesting. The outlets could be found if you searched a few inches into the hole in the drywall. It had a pleasant "smokehouse" smell but the overall impression did not make one to make me want to come back. I would never stay in this room again. I cannot speak to the hospitality as we were not offered breakfast because we left at 8am and breakfast is only served from 8-10.

Garth G.

Yelp
Came to the Bourbon Manner on a recommendation from a friend who had great things to say. When my wife and I showed up along with another couple, we were appalled to find the condition of their "carefully prepared" room to be in terrible shape. There were bars of soap in the bath tub and the toilet had "definitely" not been flushed. When we confronted the owner about this, his words were "What do you want me to do about it?" He was argumentative about our finding because the maid had told him that the room had been cleaned. Once he was shown the evidence, he still did not utter as much as an apology. Still flabbergasted, we went out that evening and had a great time. Upon our return, the lock in our friend's door jammed and would not allow them to open it. Again, the inn keepers were alerted, who then along with the owner had no luck opening the door. Finally, at approx 1 am a locksmith came and literally sawed the lock out of the door. All of this was occurring (for approx 1 1/2 hours) within 30 to 40 feet of my wife trying to sleep in our bed. Once the door was opened, the owner walked down the stairs and confronted my friend's wife and told her that he could not understand how they could have done this, as it had "never happened before like this." He continued in telling her that he felt they locked it from the inside. Not wanting to have an argument at 1 in the morning, she came back upstairs and finally went to bed (with the door still open and unlocked). Knowing that we all have bad days and that odd things happened, we assumed the next morning at breakfast the owner would come over and apologize to my friend and his wife and would probably say something to my wife and me as well, due to keeping us up all night and running a saw for 20 minutes outside of our room just merely 8 hours before. BUT NO, not one apology was uttered, not one "I'm sorry,".......nothing. It wasn't until my friend approached him about the whole nightmare that we both had, did he show one bit of remorse. We were trying to give this guy the benefit of the doubt knowing that some things are out of control, but to not have the decency to at least say "We're sorry," really made me feel motivated to write this review and recommend him to absolutely nobody. The Manor is a beautiful place in a beautiful town but we will certainly never consider this place EVER again!!

S M.

Yelp
We have stayed here a number of times and it is always outstanding. We have stayed in the honeymoon suite, the cottage, and most recently upstairs in the main house. I liked the main house the best, although the cottage was nice when we had our dog with us because it had a private yard area. There are always beverages and cookies in the dining room. Breakfast is absolutely superb, as is the service. The on-site bar is nice, too. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
My husband and I loved our stay at Bourbon Manor, and wished we could have stayed longer! Everything was wonderful from the moment we set foot on the property. We immediately felt taken care of by our hosts, and were given helpful dining information for our evening. Our room was beautiful, and the bed was so comfortable! As another reviewer mentioned, the breakfast was amazing, and they took into account my vegetarianism and made me something special for breakfast, which was absolutely delicious. I wish we could have stayed longer, and will definitely be returning the next time we are in the area!

Sarah H.

Yelp
I actually haven't stayed at Bourbon Manor but I am supposed to this weekend. I have tried calling them, emailing them and posting messages on FB for days because I have a few questions prior to my stay. However, no one answers the phone, the voicemail message is automated (doesn't even mention that it's Bourbon Manor) and my email/messages haven't been returned. I am actually concerned that this B&B may no longer be open. Can someone please let me know the best way to reach them?

Stu M.

Yelp
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The staff were fantastic, the accommodations luxurious. We would gladly visit again. They have a lounge/bar on site that must be experienced; don't let the name fool you. The inside of this lounge is beautiful, with a huge selection of Kentuckys best.

Michelle K.

Yelp
Oct. 21, 2016 will be forever remembered as nightmare at the Bourbon Manor Bed & Breakfast. We didn't even make it to the breakfast! At first, the room seemed adequate. The hostess was below average, not personable at all. Then came the nightmare. This is not a joke and I find no humor in it whatsoever. I had just turned out the bedside lamp and there was just enough light coming through the blind to see the ceiling fan shadow movement when I saw something else also circling (flying) through the air. I quickly went under the covers and told my husband I saw something flying in our room and I though it was a bat. He confirmed there was something flying around and he would get out of bed and investigate. I was too terrified to get out from under the covers. He proceeded to turn on the light and confirmed it was a bat and it was sitting on the smoke detector. Contacting the hostess and owners were of no help in our predicament. The owner was not interested in coming over and taking care of this problem and we found ourselves trying to find somewhere else to stay in the middle of the night. I DO NOT recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone!
