Incredible place as seen in video and pictures, great ambient, great youthful people, very nice draft beers, not expensive, very fun to be in. The surrounding areas are very nice as usual in Amsterdam; in case it is too crowded you can walk somewhere close by. Please follow my YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@Super1Guide to watch amazing travel videos from all over the world.

This was great. We were lucky enough to arrive early so got a seat. The music was at just the right volume - no need to shout to he heard and there was a good selection of beers. Laid back and cool.

Fantastic little venue with excellent live music, and very friendly staff. Recommended and day of the week.

The bartenders were super friendly and knowledgeable. They made drinks and worked the sound which was impressive. We sat at the bar the whole time while watching the show. The live music was pretty good but I would say the bartenders service alone is worth coming back for; all three of them were great.

Live music was really good. The band was amazing. Well spent time to listen to some jazz and blues music. We paid €7.5 per person for the entrance at the door- without drinks. Overall experience is great and we’ll visit again.

Google
Super nice layout. Very old style deco and music is slower than other places. You don’t get seating so it would be like a dance floor concept. Drinks are slightly more expensive but both quality and presentation as well as engaging bar staff really elevates it above other bars in area.

Dropped in for live music and drinks. Came for the first set and Raquel was the perfect host poor Bartel couldn't even serve us! The atmosphere was welcoming, the band was grooving, and again, the hospitality shown from Raquel was outstanding. Her old fashioned is a classic. Special shout to Bartel playing not only bartender but sound engineer as well. One of the nest experiences in Amsterdam.

Yelp
If you're looking for an amazing live band to dance to, this is the place. It's almost like it's a mini-concert. Extremely talented group of people here.

Yelp
Cool spot to grab a drink and hear some live music. Stage is small, sound system ok. Limited seating; drink prices are reasonable. Stopped in on different nights; talent is good - covers and originals. Crowd is cool, most middle aged people on the two nights I visited.

Yelp
Coming to this venue since '98, it always has a nice crowd and good live band. Plenty of choice in the drinks department, and it used to stay open until 4am. On top of the roof are the Blues Brothers dancing, and after paying the doorman we got to dance to some covers played by a seasoned band. The guitar player drank half a bottle of Jack Daniels it seemed and some girls danced on the bar. We are my wife Ilene who I met in this bar, and I played bass a few times on this famous stage. If you're going out in the Dam this place has to be on your (late) list!

Yelp
Standing room only but the band was great! Come prepared to rock out but don't expect to have a seat or easily get to the bar for a drink. Fun times!

Yelp
It was a cool spot to check live music. I actually didn't find many like it that played Jazz/Blues. One issue, I saw that they offered rum for 5 euros, I asked for a rum and coke and they were like that will be 8 euros. I was like damn, I thought it was 5 euros, the bartender said, you asked for a coke, that's why it's extra. Ok, I got screwed there!

Yelp
I would never recommend this bar, the bouncers are very rude, the food is absolutely horrible and the the bathrooms were disgusting. 10/0 would never suggest that someone go here.

Yelp
If you can't visit New Orleans Bourbon street......then visit the next best thing in Amsterdam. Slightly off Leidseplein Bourbon street gives you live music everyday of the week. It gives you a no nonsense ambiance where you can go and just really be yourself. No stuck up look at me kind of attitudes, but only people enjoying live music! Granted some bands are better than others but that doesn't change the relaxed ambience. As a big plus the friendly bar tenders are happy to serve one of their many bourbons or whiskey's (yes there is a difference people). And you know it........I love me some good old highland malt. So I am a fan. Considering the relaxed atmosphere and live music everything is normal priced and not crazy overpriced as sometimes might happen around Leidseplein. And.........you can enjoy all this until 5am!!!!! Yes ladies and gentlemen.........Get off your couch and go go go. Ooooh one final tip.....if you get there on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday before 10.30pm entrance is free, get there after and entrance is 5euro's still a bargain if you ask me. The rest of the week entrance after 11pm is 3euro's

Yelp
One of the few places in Amsterdam open past 2am....they are open till 5. I went here after a late night of sitting around in the Leidseplein drinking Hoegaarden. I heard they had live music and would be a good crowd. I heard correct. When I walked in I could not believe what I saw (cut to black and white flash back) ......I was riding my bike one day along the water to find a free outdoor concert at the Amsterdam Jazz Club. The band playing was was only a 3 piece but they were killing it from funky ass originals to Stevie Wonder covers. I thought this is awesome I would love to see these guys again........ (end flashback) I walk in and see the SAME BAND PLAYING!!! AWESOME. This time they have friends with them. I think now there was a second guitarist and a hand percussionist. They played some of the songs from a couple of days ago and some others I hadn't heard yet. This time you can tell they have more time in the set because they start jammin hard. While trading off solo's they start switching instruments. Drummer playing guitar ..... Guitar player singing.... and they just keep rotating. I think the door charge was 10 euro and I only had about 2 beers while I was there. Beers were priced the same as anywhere else in Amsterdam so that's a good thing. I will return.....hopefully.

Yelp
I love the live music at Bourbon Street! The music was a R&B/soul band the night I attended. The drinks were reasonably priced and there was a cover charge. Be prepared to stand all night because seating is limited, and it can be very, very, very crowded (I ended up leaving earlier than I wanted to because I got tired of being bumped or dodging people). I recommend checking it out.

Yelp
Great live music. Easy atmosphere with a wide range of demographics in the audience. All should feel welcome.

Yelp
What a great place! We discovered it by accident just walking along a street. Its a jazz and blues bar which is open to 6am at the weekend. The staff are friendly, attentive and they have a great marketing concept tag line I came without shame or the street with no shame. It has a mixed clientele with a large stage and some fabulous acts have played here. The large bar is dark wood and victorian glass mirror style with plenty of stools, lots of action and bar keepers who know their drinks. There is a wide selection to choose from, and loads of pictures around the place The best bit about this place according to one of my dearest friends is that she did not have to replace the toilet roll when she went in there after a busy saturday night! The place is clean, busy and buzzing

Yelp
My boyfriend is on a quest to take me to all the places he used to go in his student days, so last night we went to Bourbon Street. They have live music every night and a good crowd of mixed ages and locals/tourists (although it was a lot of men last night... darn the presence of the boyfriend... just kidding!). Was an unexpectedly good time.

Yelp
I went on a Moday. Very congenial environment with great local artists playing. It has an open mic night on Mondays as well. Check their website for schedule. Expect to get a good time here!

Yelp
By chance alone we saw Bourbon Street while existing a bar. Walked up and looked through the window to check out the crowd. It was full and there was a band playing. Being that we were on a pub crawl, enter we must. There was a €5 cover and the doorman said the band that was playing was really good. *Hey, I'll be the judge of what's good and what's not around here* The first thing that hit me was the music the band was playing. It was Led Zeppelin. Now, most cover bands that play LZ do them a grave injustice but this band pleasantly surprised me. Other covers from The Police, Aerosmith, Beatles...deserved applause. The band playing that evening were The Hats. Spoke to the bass player outside during their break. They're composed of two Croatian brothers, a Cuban and a Dutch guy. Who'd figure? My next visit to Amsterdam will require me to check Bourbon Street's band schedule because The Hats play there on the regular. The bar and band will see my repeat business in the near future.

Yelp
Another great bar, this one had a bartender that looked like a the star of an old German horror film, a cover band that played Ladysmith Black Mambazo, and a girl that showed us all her tits.
