My favorite village in the Cotswold This is a really nice village, it has everything, the beautiful historical buildings, the little shops, the delightful restaurants, the river flowing in the middle. It is all great. The only issue, is it is so crowed in summer! The bridges are what makes Bourton a special village, they are really nice and so photogenic. We will come back !

Beautiful small village, too much crowded though. Visited Model Village, was good. Parking place was nearly full so look for parking places beforehand. If you looking for same kinda experience and bit less crowded try Stow-on-the-Wold instead. Less crowded and can visit Doors of durin here.

A beautiful little walkable village, with lovely shops, accessibly sidewalks, and adorable bridges over the shallow river. Lots of places selling ice cream and kids playing in the water on a hot summer day.

I personally think this town is the most worthwhile place to visit in the entire area. When you come here, you will see children and dogs playing in the water. There are also some geese playing in the water. You can enjoy a comfortable afternoon here on holidays. There are many Italian restaurants on both sides of the town where you can enjoy delicious food.

Bourton-on-the-Water is an awesome village with River Windrush flowing gently through the centre of the town. It is quite a popular tourist destination. There is much to see in Bourton on the Water. It has Birdland Park and Gardens with wide variety of exotic birds, The Model Village with a 1/9th scale replica of the centre of the village,The Cotswold Motoring Museum with seven unique galleries housing a collection of vintage cars. Bourton-on-the-Water also has an assorted mix of shops including Cotswold Perfumery, jewellery and potteries offering a wide choice of unique and exciting gifts all year round. A day’s guided trip from London to Burford, Bourton-on-the-Water and Oxford is really worth it.

Lovely little village, was very busy as expected and struggled to get parking but that’s expected on a sunny Saturday. A lot of the little gift shops are very pricey but some are much more reasonably priced if you have a little walk around first. Highly recommend the Kingsbridge Inn pub for food! Best priced in the area and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner today too! Loads of trails and walks along public footpaths in the area, the stream is very shallow and lots of kids (and adults!) were walking in the water, as well as dogs too, to cool down which was lovely. Lots of little foot bridges to cross along the river too which is handy

Google
Very pretty area of the Cotswold. Bourton on the Water is aptly named due to the river that runs through it. There and several bridges spanning the river. You will find a motor museum and model village, several shops and pubs which serve delicious food. We visited on a Bank Holiday and it was extremely busy so parking was very difficult. A waterside village filled with charm just waiting to be explored.

Great little village with a shallow river running through the centre. There are lots of shops and cafes, but an early visit is recommended. It does get very busy !

Yelp
Bourton on the Water is a small, cute, and picturesque village that was a relatively easy walk from our Hotel in Lower Slaughter. Unfortunately, we arrived on a Saturday during a Bank Holiday weekend on a very nice warm and sunny day. The place was packed, which made appreciating this place's beauty somewhat challenging as we were dodging our fellow tourists and long lines of cars at selected crossings. A few tips: 1. Do try the ice cream, which is local and delicious. They also make a dog-friendly style. 2. We had a relatively quiet and relaxing lunch at the Dial Hotel, which we considered somewhat out of the way. 3. The Cotswold Pottery shop a few blocks off the river walk is worth a visit and a look. 3. The local foot paths off the main area provide a scenic and peaceful respite.

Yelp
A charming little town in the Cotswolds. My family enjoyed walking around and had a lot of great pictures. Although the tour guide said the place gets a little crazy during the summer season. Definitely avoid that...

Yelp
A lovely Cotswolds town with a small, shop-lined street and river to explore. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area to take the time to visit the local businesses, enjoy the beauty, and unwind.
