Place with potential, but also bad Swiss service approach and zero marketing skills. A chocolate oriented cafe that serves no hot chocolate or cocoa because “they ran out” (quite a while ago now I assume, since the sign is printed out and laminated). There is a selection of coffe (mine was good) and some tea though. Nothing really special for the kids. I was with a 4 y.o. and got a choice of hot or cold... milk :) You’d think a Villars boutique cafe would offer various kinds of delicious chocolate treats like cakes, cookies, muffins, maybe some fancy desserts... Nothing more misleading. There’s nothing to eat other than chocolate, of course, that you can purchase in the store. You can buy different sorts and you can also make your own mix of favorite small chocolates (price per weight), provided you remove a pile of papers and invoices from the scale (you need to weigh it yourself) and the cart blocking it. Chocolate is very tasty - after all it’s Villars ;) This place could be a “must visit” spot on Fribourg’s map if one put a little thought into it. Two stars for quality chocolate and good coffee.
