It is unethical and unacceptable that I was not informed of the current state of the hotel and its lack of facilities when I booked. The renovation currently underway starts with hammering and drilling at 9 AM and continues until 6 PM. The air is full of dust and smells of smoke and paint, which is likely a health hazard. There is no reception area, no bar-lounge area, and no breakfast service as advertised. There are no hotel staff—you are sent a 6-digit code that opens the front door as well as your room. In the very drab room, there is no bedspread (only a bare duvet), the pictures have been removed from the walls, the toiletries consist of liquid hand soap only, and there are no tea or coffee sachets with the tea kettle. Unfortunately I had a non-refundable reservation for 2 nights. Could not have tolerated any more—it was a miserable experience!

the hotel is good, clean, the bed is good, there is even a good TV, but why did I give it one star? because from 8:00 to 17:00 there is the sound of a hammer drill and a drill, it's just awful

This hotel is absolutely perfect! My room was spacious, clean and had air-condition. I had a room with an entrance to a lovely garden. It was very quiet, no noise coming from the street. It is much nicer to stay in the area that does not have many tourists and than walk to interesting places. I like walking so I did not mind taking a walk to Old Town or Hradcany. But if walking is not your thing there is good public transportation. ||||I felt very safe in the hotel area, but I did not walk late at night (I would not do that anyway in any city when traveling alone). ||||Breakfast had very diverse selection of delicious food. Make sure to ask for an omelette with ham and cheese - they really know how to make it right. If you are hungry during a day you could grab a fruit or two from the lobby. ||||People at the reception are very professional, nice, helpful, always in good humour. Pleasure to interact with.||||I also used hotel airport transport both ways. I do not know how the cost of it compares to other options, but it was worth it. Driver knew how to get to the airport using small streets and avoided Friday afternoon traffic.||||If I come to Prague again I would choose this hotel for sure.

Excellent small scale hotel with an enthusiastic and capable staff. During check-in coffee and/ or tea are offered, giving you the feeling of a warm welcome. The staff made inquiries about the day after coming back, some small talk but very considerate. |The room was clean comfortable with a small balcony. I cannot describe if you can sit outside comfortably, because my visit was in December.|Breakfast was excellent, with a lot of choice: some vegetables and fruits, toast, omelettes and small pancakes or apfelstrudel as desert. The atmosphere in de breakfast room was also excellent, with ticking clocks and Czech or English music as background music.|WIFI in the hotel works fine.|Maybe the distance to Wenceslas square is for some people to far away (10-15 minutes walking distance), but on the other hand, the surrounding of the hotel is very quiet. In the morning you can hear the birds from outside. This hotel is an excellent choice for a city-trip if you want to stay in a personal and quiet atmosphere.

Wonderful hotel in New Town. Only 20 minutes nice walk to Old Town, or tram stop really close. Possibly the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in. Booked two garden facing rooms. One of the rooms had a door straight out into the garden, which my teens loved! So clean, so comfortable. Buffet breakfasts provided virtually everything you can think of. There was hot option but this wasn’t really offered. 3 mornings I only had fried eggs once and this is because I asked for it rather than being asked if we would like anything. That’s my only criticism! To be honest, you didn’t really need the hot option. ||Staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. My daughter forgot her toothbrush, one was provided for her next morning. Nothing was too much for the staff. Thank you so much for making our stay so perfect.

My wife and I have stayed at Hotel 16 three times in the past 3 years and most recently last weekend. Each time we have enjoyed our stay immensely. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast excellent and the staff outstanding. Each time, from the moment we walked in we were welcomed with coffee/tea and all our questions answered. This time round we met Zora and Caroline - I cannot speak highly enough of such friendly and competent staff. We particularly appreciated Caroline's restaurants recommendations. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from the main sights so it is far enough enough from the crowds in the Old-Town. Public transportation is a short 5min walk away.

A nice stay with personal service in this beautiful boutique hotel. We've stayed here a number of times and always loved it. This time, just a couple of weeks after opening from Covid-19. Very quiet of course as still no tourists in Prague. Not able to serve buffet breakfast due to the restrictions, so took our egg order the night before. Perfect!

This is the only place I will stay in Prague. I stayed twice for about a week during the summer. Service was phenomenal both times and the staff are great ambassadors of their city and country. It’s a very quiet area and the back garden is lovely for some evening tea. If you’re an American looking to stay in a Czech hotel with AC and helpful staff, look no further. This place is a godsend.

Yelp
This review is really overdue, as I stayed here back in June. When I checked in, I was given an orientation of the city from Adam, which was really helpful for sightseeing. All the staff I encountered during my two night stay were fantastic. The hotel is in a quiet area, about a twenty minute walk to Old Town. The room itself was nice and quiet. The air conditioning in the room was a huge bonus - it's a rarity in Europe to have air conditioning work this well. I stayed at another hotel during this trip and the A/C barely made a difference. I never made it to breakfast, but it looked like a pretty nice setup.

Yelp
This is a very beautiful and quiet hotel. Great location! Staff is excellent, very nice and extremely helpful with every need. The entire hotel is kept very clean, as our room was! My favorite hotel, by far, this trip! Better than the Hilton in Budapest, Bucharest. Much better than the Marriot in Brasov.
