Boutique-Hotel Adara - Stammhaus Lindau

We visited this Hotel earlier. The rooms are traditional but functional. Each room has a different look. The building is very old and they carefully refurbished everything. The service is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great, they also serve eggs in every style on demand. Not a cheap place but a great place.

The hotel had its highlights, especially the breakfast. Fresh fruit, yoghurts, a variety of cheeses, and delicious bread, along with the option to order freshly made eggs, made the mornings a real treat. The lady serving breakfast was warm and welcoming, adding a lovely touch to the start of the day. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were clean and trendy. Nice L’occitaine toiletries in room. ||However, the overall service left much to be desired. Check-in was strictly at 3 pm, and when we arrived at 1 pm, we were told ‘you are early’ and we were left waiting in an empty reception for 15 minutes, surrounded by unattended luggage. Despite being early, the hotel could have been more accommodating by either allowing an earlier check-in or securely storing our luggage, which was left in an unmanned area despite us asking for it to be put somewhere safe. It felt like an early sign that the service wasn’t up to the standard we expected.||There were other inconveniences, too. You are required to specify a time for breakfast, which felt restrictive. The rooms were incredibly hot with no air conditioning, and the curtains did a poor job of keeping out the light, making it difficult to sleep. The WiFi was weak and unreliable, barely suitable for streaming or working. On top of that, the free water in the room was sparkling, with no option for still. Lights are ridiculously complicated and you have a tablet in the room for requests and instructions except the WiFi isn’t strong enough for you to use it. ||In summary, while the hotel shines in areas like breakfast and room cleanliness, the lack of attention to customer service fell short of expectations. For a stay in such a beautiful area like Lake Constance, we expected more from the service.

A small boutique hotel. reception is managed till 6 pm. Great location on Lindau Island. I have stayed here before in 2017 and was hoping for the same experience. The rooms are gorgeous however there is no ability to make yourself a cup of coffee or tea which I think for a 4 star hotel should be included. The restaurant has a Michelin star and the food was excellent. Because it’s a small hotel we had to give a time for breakfast. Weekend was very busy and the staff seemed stressed and the first question we were asked was what time would we want breakfast the following day. I really didn’t want to have to lock in a time. There are limited options to sit downstairs and enjoy a drink. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely but not exceptional. A pleasant stay but due to the lack of facilities I don’t think we will return.

For the second time we decided to spend the year-end in Lindau. Again we visited our favorite hotel Adara. This is a unique place. Each room is different, enclosed in an old, small house in the old city of Lindau. The service is excellent, the breakfast unbeatable. We liked the stay a lot and already booked three nights for the next year-end. Not to forget: We have a dog which also liked the stay.

What an amazing hotel! My husband and I stayed here for two nights and it was wonderful. The hotel is super comfortable, great location and wonderful breakfast. One thing to note is that the front desk closes at 6pm so you need to get there before 6pm on check in day. If you're staying in Lindau, I highly recommend staying here!

super cool hotel. very unique blend of old and new. comfortable beds, crisp sheets, clean and well maintained, welcoming staff, great breakfast, quiet, close proximity to everything you need. Great little boutique hotel. hope we can come back and stay again.

Lovely small boutique hotel on the Lindau Island. Great location, super friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay at the junior suite. Highly recommend!!

We loved our stay here! Very nice rooms, good breakfast, lovely staff and special shoutout to Beda at breakfast who was super helpful and empathetic with some personal struggles. (Give her a raise :))
