We've stayed three nights in one of the older rooms in the main building (not the new apartments). The room was mostly clean and spacious, but a bit outdated. Some of furniture seemed almost antique which I smelled, but didn't bother me too much after a couple of hours. The bathroom seemed almost brand new and very modern. Rooms were quiet and the 24/7 outside-hot tubes were great. Staff friendly and breakfast pretty good.
The best thing was probably the location. Surrounded by beautiful landscape, this hotel also neighbors some kind of horse farm. Also nicely located between great sights like Seljalandsfoss and Skogafass.
We've also tried the restaurant once. Taste was very good, but in my opinion too pricey and portions a bit too small. Service was a 10/10 though.
I'd recommend staying here.
