Relaxing and comfortable! Located in a quiet neighborhood along a tree-lined street, the hotel still is located with range of everything you might want to see and experience. It's half a block from one of the three main bus lines in the city, but I preferred to walk to the many places nearby. I had a wonderful room with a beautiful garden-like balcony attached to the room. The people running the hotel were friendly and English-speaking. I could not have asked for more!

This French country inn in the heart of the Mariscal district of Quito Ecuador is absolutely charming. The design and furnishing are wonderful. The staff is exceptional. They serve a very special breakfast which includes a genuine croissant beurre made fresh on the premises. We have stayed in two different lovely rooms and other family members travelling at other times have stayed in others all equally well-appointed. They even offer rates for longer term stays which are very tempting. Room 11 has an adorable little terrace on which to enjoy the normally sunny Quito mornings. It also includes a kitchenette in which you can cook a basic meal and which is really tempting for spending a week or a month in. Room 9 has a fireplace and a private garden outside the exterior door. A plus is a quite good Peruvian restaurant across the street but it's in a neighborhood filled with good restaurants. Chandani Tandoori is within walking distance and has very credible Indian food with a talent for adjusting the level of spice for different palates.

We had the most lovely stay at Antinea. We were traveling with our 9mo old baby and the staff really went out of our way to be accommodating and make sure our stay was easy and comfortable. They provided us with a pack-and-play crib which worked out perfect. The building itself is beautiful with lots of historic charm— and very clean and comfortable. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment loft at first, which we loved as it was very beautiful and had great natural light. Unfortunately a nearby club played their music very loud on Friday and Saturday nights, so Veronica moved us to a different room that was more quiet, which worked out very well. Our daughter slept through the loud music no problem but my wife needed earplugs before we moved. If you are a light sleeper and are there over a busy weekend I’d suggest asking Veronica about which rooms are more quiet and insulated. The breakfast was great— really nice croissants, eggs, coffee, and the freshest fruit we’d had on our whole trip. Veronica also coordinated our van to and from the airport, called taxis for us, provided us with tea and umbrellas, and made sure everything with going perfect with our stay. We had a great stay and will definitely stay there again next time we’re in town. Highly recommended!

I had an amazing experience at this hotel, it’s an oasis of calm and tranquility in the middle of Quito. Veronica and Omar took care of me so well, I’m very grateful to them for addressing all my requests with care and consideration. My room was fantastic, confortable, very clean and relaxing. This will be my go to place to stay in Quito going forward :)

Amazing stay here. Veronica and Omar were incredibly helpful, did everything to make our stay very enjoyable, including storing our bags while we went to Cuyabeno for a few nights. Breakfast and location are excellent. Beautiful heritage building which was comfortable and had everything you needed. Highly recommend.

Hotel Antinea is “vaux le voyage” (worth the trip). This gorgeous hotel is on a stunning little street lined with Sycamore trees. It is a complex of traditional buildings very well designed and integrated. The rooms and garden terraces and courtyards are lovely and comfortable. The breakfast is unique in all Ecuador as it includes excellent croissant beurre (fait maison). The dining spaces are so attractive and filled with interesting art. The service is very, very attentive.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this hotel! Now only is the place beautiful and in a wonderful neighborhood but the hostess and staff are some of the most friendly and accommodating I have ever had! They made us feel at home and provided service well above what was expected. They allowed us a late check out when we had an evening flight and watched our bags when we traveled to the Amazon for 4 days. They contacted us prior to our trip to arrange pickup from the airport and it seemed that at every turn they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable! I had a massage while there and that too was a spectacular experience! I could not recommend this hotel enough to any person traveling to Quito. 10/10
