We had a great meal at Hotel Astoria Restaurant. While the food did take a bit of time to arrive, that was understandable since there was a large group dining at the same time. Despite the slight wait, the service was friendly and attentive. The food itself was very good, and the vegan burger, in particular, was something different and definitely worth trying! Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience with a nice atmosphere. Would recommend it if you’re in the area.

The restaurant menu looks promising, but when we dined there we were underwhelmed. They were clearly understaffed, with one poor waiter handling about twenty tables outdoors in the square. I’ve never sent a meal back, but when both our dinners arrived lukewarm, I really should have - damn Canadian politeness prevented me. The food itself was flavourful and would have really been great if it was hot. I’m not saying don’t go here, but maybe pause and be sure they’re adequately staffed before committing.

The hotel is in a great central location, the rooms are very comfortable with a nice decor, The breakfast selection was very good from the menu and the portion are more than enough to get you through to dinner time. The reception were very welcoming , not as much from the gents that served us at breakfast. The only down side was the noise from the square. In one of the restaurants in the square outside the room they had a piano player that belted out the tunes to 11pm and then awoken to the church bells between 6am and 7am.( which was nice). If your good on 7 hrs sleep then this hotel ticks all the boxes

Very centrally located hotel within the old walls. Small reception with pleasant staff. Our room Thita (would highly recommend) was large with balcony which has a beautiful view over the water. It looks like rooms on the lower floors face a wall or the square at the front. The room was immaculate (our housekeeper was a lovely lady). The bed very large and comfortable. Plenty of seating. Large wardrobe with lots hangers and shelves. WiFi was good. Lots of plugs throughout. The bathroom had plenty of storage space with good towels and a strong hairdryer. Toiletries were shampoo, shower gel, body lotion and a vanity set. The shower had overhead and tilt heads. There is a kettle. Complimentary water on the first day but it was never replaced. The breakfast is an odd set up. All served at your table in the square or inside on two floors. Option of two hot and two cold drinks per person and one savoury, one sweet dish. Service was on occassion brusque. Portions are substantial but there are no descriptions of each dish so the Eggs Royal came with spinach and avocado as well as smoked salmon. There are no pastries or fruit, which is disappointing.

Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Stayed 2 nights. Restaurant was great. Value very good and the location was right in the middle of the old town.

Boutique Hotel Astoria in Kotor combines luxury with a historic charm, located within the city’s medieval walls. The hotel features elegantly decorated rooms, blending modern comfort with original stonework, offering a unique atmosphere. Guests praise the attentive staff, delicious breakfast, and the on-site restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine. With its prime location near Kotor’s attractions, it’s perfect for exploring. Though premium-priced, the ambiance and service make it a memorable stay for couples and discerning travelers.

Service was excellent. I had the Greek Salad. The vegetables were fresh like right off the vine. The feta cheese had a smooth flavor. The olives were wonderful. My wife had the spinach chicken pesto. The pesto smooth and not overpowering. Flavor of both dishes were balanced.
