A gem of a find made for a delightful visit! This hotel is tucked into a small side street across from the church in the center of Tongeren. We came in August to visit the Sunday flea market and were charmed by the hotel and the proprietor Cornelius who goes by “Corne”. Our room was at the top of a very narrow and very traditional staircase. Our room consisted of three spaces one for the bedroom, one for a living area with a pullout sofa and TV and then a very large bath. Everything was spotless.||||The hotel and our room was very clean, the bed so comfortable, and the best part was the location. You were within a 1 to 2 minute walk in any direction of shops, restaurants, and the antique market should you choose to go there. One of the best aspects was meeting the proprietor and enjoying his wonderful breakfast every day. The breakfasts were fresh, hot, and he would cook eggs to order. We certainly enjoyed our stay there and would heartily recommend this lovely property that is oozing charm and character just like its proprietor. One note is that there is not a lift to ride in, but there is an elevator for luggage so you don’t have to carry it upstairs.
