Boutique Hôtel Casa Amor Olhão

We stayed at the awe-inspiring Casa Amor Olhao for 6 nights with a yoga group in September, 2025. Jacque, Walter, Edgar and each of the staff we encountered was truly exceptional. The attention to detail of meals, rooms, decorating, cleanliness was absolutely 5 star. If you are in Olhao stay at Casa Amor or minimally visit the cafe for a croissant or any of the delectable sweet treats they make! You will not regret it!

We had a fantastic 6 nights at Casa Amor in the top floor room with large terrace, what a treat it was, so comfortable and spacious. It's a lovely boutique hotel, with Jacques and Walter at the helm and a wonderful small team who ensure you are well looked after. The breakfasts are a real treat, each day presents an attractive display of fresh, local produce and home baked pastries and cakes, everything is delicious. Staying at Casa Amor for our mini-honeymoon was the best decision. Every single detail of this boutique hotel is thought out perfectly, and it was an amazing & romantic stay. From breakfast to the rooftop pool to the thoughtfully curated beach kit, every aspect of this hotel equates to a stay in paradise. It’s also the perfect distance to all that Olhão has to offer, which is much more than we realized when we chose to stay outside of Faro. We will be back!

Jacques and Walter, thankyou for providing a perfect place to stay in Olhao. The room was beautifully furnished with some lovely design aesthetics. It was spacious and very well appointed.||Your breakfasts are sublime and lavish, beautiful prepared ingredients with a variety not frequently seen. In addition the best cooked omelette I have had in a long time.||Thankyou for your hospitality and welcome. We cannot fault our stay||Anyone thinking of booking, dont think too hard, just book, you will not regret.||We will be back i am sure.

We’ve been lucky to travel to some beautiful places, but our stay at Casa Amor tops the list. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we stepped straight into a postcard but better, because it came with Jacques and Walter.||Let's start with the breakfasts! It was world-class. We're not morning people but this breakfast had us up every day. We couldn't miss it as each morning felt fresh and always different. The eggs were made to order and truly were cooked perfectly every day.||The rooms were spacious, the rooftop had beyond impressive sunset views of the city and the attached cafe also had some of the best baked goods we've ever tried. ||Our hosts were the real MVPs of this trip. They had spot‑on restaurant recs and perfect beach suggestions that made this hotel stay feel like no other. They even give you a beach bag to make it easy to have what you need. Their energy was great and the guests that we spoke with had the same experience. ||We should've taken way more photos, but we were so enamored with our stay that we left our phones in the room the majority of the time. ||We didn’t want to leave & we’re already figuring out when we can come back!

Jacque and Walter run an excellent hotel . Our first visit to Casa Amor , and full of fabulous memories . The building is beautiful , lovely furnishings and wonderful thought has gone into this re-furb . Of course one has to mention their fabulous breakfast , which is a feast , and you can't think of anything you might need as it's all there for you . Casa Amor is a beautifully renovated boutique hotel that blends thoughtful, eclectic, and modern touches with the charm of its heritage fabric. Nestled in Olhão’s old town, it sits on a quiet street just steps from the waterfront and boardwalk. The rooftop offers panoramic views across the historic town, while the spacious, light-filled rooms provide an elegant retreat — perfect for an afternoon siesta. Each morning began with a delightful breakfast (best in Portugal) offering a spectacular spread of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, daily pastries, and breads expertly crafted by the owner, all enjoyed in the hotel’s serene courtyard. We especially appreciated the complimentary freshly brewed teas, as well as ginjinha and port, which we savored in the lovingly curated shared lounge after long days of exploring. What truly sets Casa Amor apart, however, is the warmth and attentiveness of the owners Jacques and Walter, along with Emily, making us feel genuinely welcome, greeting us each morning and ensuring every detail of our stay was cared for. Casa Amor is an elevated and memorable stay in the heart of Olhão — one we would wholeheartedly recommend, and a place we look forward to returning.

A really excellent hotel for couples in Olhao. We stayed here for a few nights. So many lovely design touches, everything has been lovingly thought through. Features include the peaceful lounge that used to be a chapel with ice and herbal tea always available. Super rooftop area with a great little pool, again simple but beautiful design, just long enough for floating about, water quality excellent. Breakfasts out of this world in the courtyard, something different every day, a culinary experience. Home made cakes and pastries to die for. The whole place has a relaxed atmosphere engendered by hosts Jack and Walter, who both clearly run the place with love. What makes it even cooler is it's right in there amidst the scruffy bit cool urban buildings of the old working class part of the fishing town, a short walk through cobbled streets to the harbour, with loads of nice little pavement cafes. We'd recommend it to any couple and hope to visit again.
