Casa Amor is a beautifully renovated boutique hotel that blends thoughtful, eclectic, and modern touches with the charm of its heritage fabric. Nestled in Olhão’s old town, it sits on a quiet street just steps from the waterfront and boardwalk.
The rooftop offers panoramic views across the historic town, while the spacious, light-filled rooms provide an elegant retreat — perfect for an afternoon siesta. Each morning began with a delightful breakfast (best in Portugal) offering a spectacular spread of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, daily pastries, and breads expertly crafted by the owner, all enjoyed in the hotel’s serene courtyard.
We especially appreciated the complimentary freshly brewed teas, as well as ginjinha and port, which we savored in the lovingly curated shared lounge after long days of exploring.
What truly sets Casa Amor apart, however, is the warmth and attentiveness of the owners Jacques and Walter, along with Emily, making us feel genuinely welcome, greeting us each morning and ensuring every detail of our stay was cared for.
Casa Amor is an elevated and memorable stay in the heart of Olhão — one we would wholeheartedly recommend, and a place we look forward to returning.
