Boutique Hotel Dufays

We went totally unplanned on last minute booking and absolutely fell in love with this beautiful Villa hotel. It is right in the center of town, near bus stop and many restaurants on walk by distance. The hotel has charm of old vintage villa, with a lovely backyard garden overlooking the stunning Hills & Valleys. The double room had spacious balcony and almost room size bathroom. The complimentary breakfast was well served and has lovely seating overlooking backyards. The host, and his dog both are charming and very helpful :) Absolutely recommended.

Excellent place, friendly, beautiful rooms, excellent breakfast. Don't forget to visit the Abbey museum. We stayed in the Africa room and before that in the India room. Better to sleep on the back side of the hotel because the street cobbles are noisy as cars drive ove r them.

We stayed in this hotel using a voucher. We stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. |Our room (Africa) was big and very quirky. The bed was comfortable. Unfortunately there was not any shelving space for clothes, only a few hangers. The bathroom was good, although it could have done with some small bits of repainting. |The host was very friendly and the location ideal. |Breakfast was wonderful with tasty eggs being served and a full buffet. And the view from the room and garden was stunning. |Why we don't give it 5 stars are the owners' dogs that come running and barking at you when you walk in. We like dogs and are not allergic so we didn't mind, but many people are scared or allergic so the owner should bear that in mind. |We would definitely consider staying there again.

We stayed a weekend in the Hunting Room. The hotel is very small and cozy, old country building, walk-up and located almost in the center of Stavelot, easy to walk around and explore the area. The guests rooms and bathrooms are completely renovated, hence you will experience traditional charm and modern comfort. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, excellent breakfast. The owner is pleasant, professional and goes out of his way to make your stay comfortable and Covid safe. He provided us with many ideas about walks, drives and how to spend our time in the area. Thank you for making our weekend enjoyable.

We very much enjoyed our stay in the Dufays. Very nice, charming framework, very friendly staff. Large and charming rooms (with different themes), nicely decorated, quiet and clean - a real gem. The breakfast was excellent, fresh products, juice and wonderful fried eggs. Dogs are welcome in the hotel. We would love to return.

Really friendly hotel. Just off the town centre which is easy walking distance. The owner’s want to ensue your stay is the best it can be. If the sun is shining sitting in the back garden enjoying the views. Parking is right outside the front Breakfast is fantastic much better the the other hotels we have stayed in locally. Would recommend

Great experience at Dufays. Ad, the proprietor/owner was incredibly responsive and helpful. Room very comfortable. It is a restored mansion so this is not a new dwelling but this means very cute and great character but very comfortable. We stayed in the room on main floor and was cool and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

We had an excellent weekend here! The room is cosy with a big bathroom, where we enjoyed relaxing in the big bath. The owners are very kind and always helpfull. The breakfast is one to enjoy, fresh oranje juice, bread, cheese, .... And offcourse different kinds of prepared eggs. You'll have to enjoy the wild garden behind the hotel garden. We were really surprised with this piece of nature!
