"Take one lovely old villa and two restaurateurs with a dream of running their own hotel… What Dominique and Erik Essink have created is worthy of the name boutique hotel with its warm tones, fine fabrics and clean, modern lines." - Tablet Hotels
We could not appreciate more the attention of all the hotel staff.
They did everything to make us feel comfortable and very well taken care of.
The rooms are beautiful, super clean and with all the comforts.
The breakfast was very good and once again incredible attention!
Thank you so much Dominique for everything! From the first day by email always a positive and very friendly attitude.
We would definitely come back!
Thank you and Happy New Year!

My wife and I, Canadians in our early 70s, were part way through a month long self drive tour through Europe and this lovely family owned and operated hotel and restaurant was the first accommodation that we found without booking ahead. Our whole stay was truly delightful.||||We stayed for 3 nights, but considering our experiences after that, we would have been better off if we had stayed there for a week.||||We needed a room with comfortable seating which was big enough to unpack and allow us to spread out and Dominique, who owns the hotel along with Erik showed us two rooms and we chose the suite at the front which was perfect. The bed was really comfortable.||||The breakfast was fantastic, with multiple choices available and eggs to order. This was definitely our best breakfast experience in the whole holiday and the dinners in the evening were a total delight. Erik is a very accomplished chef and the whole of the kitchen and restaurant staff are to be commended for providing an incredibly high standard of service.||||Dominique and Erik are super hosts being efficient and very friendly.||||I had mentioned to Erik that breadmaking was a hobby of mine and he and Dominique very kindly contacted a friend of theirs who owns a bakery and made an appointment for me to go and have a chat with him. That was highlight of the trip for me.||||My wife needed a pedicure and Dominique was able to pull something out of the hat at short notice and arrange an appointment with a local spa, so that pleased my wife enormously.||||A very satisfying experience for us and we have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

The Friesinger is a great boutique hotel, far away from standard hotel rooms with audited services: each room is individually and tastefully designed, large and confortable, the bathrooms are state of the art. ||The breakfast is delicious. It might feel like home. ||||The restaurant is worth a try. The price might be high, but matches both quality and quantity (perhaps slightly too much). The wine card is on track. And everything stays in boutique size, do not fear to find too many tables.|||| Of course not the cheapest combination, but the quality excesses by far a lot of 4* or even 5* and remains far cheaper.||||So forget other hotels around Lindau or Bregenz and go at the Friesinger!!

This lovely boutique hotel is centrally located in Kressbronn. All rooms are furnished individually with much taste and modern style. We decided to stay in the Orchid Room that is shown in our photos.||The room was very clean, the bed was comfy. The bathroom was really huge, a big plus was the rain shower system and the little terrace which is lovely during warm summer nights.||The breakfast had a huge variety of food from bacon, fresh to order made omelette to fresh fruit that even the pickiest eater gets satisfied.||The service of the owners and employees was very obliging and friendly.||In addition there is a free guest parking available in front of the hotel. ||We definitely recommend this place and will come back if we're in town again.

It always worries me to book a small locally owned hotel as the quality can be a challenge. BUT wow! Friesinger might be the best small hotel I have ever visited. Modern rooms, large bathrooms and one heck of a super restaurant. Erik (who is Dutch) is a super cook....we were 3 kids and 4 adults and not a single complaint. Dominque and the rest of the staff are wonderful. No doubt they love this place and want to make sure you do too. Breakfast is incredible.....remember that this is a boutique with only 5 rooms...but nothing was impossible. Super job by the whole team and could not be happier with the choice we made!!

We stayed one night here en route from Salzburg to England via France. Rooms are very comfortable but the true star is the dinner. Just go with the menu of the day. In our case one dish came with asparagus- which I love but my wife does not - and the chef provided her with a beautiful alternative. We explored Lindau the next day. If you want a whole day in Lindau, forget the palace hotels there - stay at the Friesinger and take the train.

Very nice, tiny & individual Boutique Hotel. Family Owned, they run the Hotel, the good kitchen is responsible for dinner and is on the other Hand, down to earth-enough to cook the eggs for breakfast. very nice & individual room, nice Details, maybe a Little bit noisy, but due to the fact that it is an old building, the deal-board floor is "neighbbour-insights" driven......

late review from a visit about an year and a half ago.
I'm writing the review so late because I just recently found the card of the restaurant and remembered it was amazing!
back at that time I was vegeterian and my wife was vegan, I asked for the mushroom rissotto because it was with butter and cheese, the chef said he can make it vegan... Best rissotto I had!
great food, good atmosphere and prices are not high.
I hope it is still the same now.
