A Unique and Charming Stay in the Heart of Bolzano||Hotel Goldenstern Townhouse offers a truly unique atmosphere, combining modern luxury with the charm of four beautifully restored historic buildings. It’s a very special and friendly place to stay right in the center of Bolzano.||If you prefer to avoid stairs, this may not be the best option for you. There is an elevator, but it doesn’t reach every floor, and the layout involves several stairways connecting different levels and buildings. However, for our family, those winding historical staircases were a delightful part of the experience – like stepping into the past on our way to a modern apartment.||Don’t miss the rooftop terrace! The 360° view over the city rooftops to the surrounding valleys and mountains is absolutely stunning.||We stayed in room no. 10, which was very spacious, quiet, and had everything we needed for our couple of days in Bolzano.||Highly recommended for anyone looking for a hotel with character, history, and a touch of luxury.

Tastefully decorated 800 year old building. There are no elevators at this hotel but staff kindly take your luggage to your room as there are so many stairs to navigate. It looks like something out of a Harry potter movie with a maze of stairs. The decor is absolutely beautiful with great attention to detail in every corner. |The hotel is situated in a great location with the Archeological Museum being a 5 minute walk away.

Stayed for a couple of nights visiting a local friend. The room was very nicely decorated and had the necessary amenities such as a mini fridge, coffee/tea maker. Unfortunately, the A/C was broken the first night and it was a hot spring day. The staff managed to get a technician and get it fixed fairly quickly. The location is great as it's within walking distance of anything you need. I think they did a great job at making this place the best between a historic building and modern amenities with charm. The staff were nice and helpful Fair warning, there's a lot of stairs and they are unavoidable no matter which room you get.

We recently visited Bolzano for a few days and stayed here. While we spent quality time in Bolzano we also did several day trips. This hotel is located in a short walking distance to the train station making it very easy for day trips. We got a two bedroom suite and could not have been more pleased with the space, the comfort and thought it was very well equipped - including a small kitchen. The breakfast was incredible, while it did not include hot foods the selection of bakery, cheese, fruit, yogurt, etc was outstanding. We did not interact with the staff much during our time there but did not have a need. The view from the rooftop was another perk. We had a wonderful time!

Such an interesting hotel! A very cool mix of new and old in a convenient location. It was clean and comfortable with a nice breakfast and great view from the rooftop deck. We ate dinner at Franziskanerstuben both nights of our stay. Anke in reception was so warm, fun, and informative! My husband and I highly recommend this great retreat and hope to visit again.

Charming hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It was perfect for my short stays before and after hutte tocht in the mountains. Rooms are not too big but not too small either; everything was super clean and decorated with a taste.

What a cool and wonderful hotel ! Very unique in architecture - you feel like you’re in a castle but it has everything that you need. Rooms are spacious and everything was well thought out (I love that!). Also the service was great and location incredible. Will come back!

Overall our stay at the Goldstern Hotel was a very pleasant expierence. In the beginning there was a slight struggle due to the pedestrian area, but we were able to contact the hotel with ease and they helped us further. The way to do it: 1) park your car in one of the parkings mentioned by the hotel 2) get your ticket and swap this ticket at the hotel for the reduction (the staff will gladly help you out with this) The hotel it self was modern with hints of the history that lays behind it. The room we stayed in was lovely and very clean. The airconditioning was perfect! It was very very good on a hot day in Bolzano. It’s located in the middle of the town. So it’s great for people who want to be in the Bolzano experience, along with it a little evening ambiance (so it can get a bit louder at night or at least this was our experience). The breakfast was basic for the price we paid but the service and surroundings made up for it. The service at the hotel was magnifico! We would definitely recommend this hotel to stay at when you are planning to visit Bolzano or like a nice city stop before heading to the Dolomites like we did.
