Boutique Hotel Goldenstern Townhouse

This hotel is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The charming building with its tasteful interior design is a wonderful experience. You never tire of looking at it. All the staff are friendly and do their utmost to make you feel welcome and at home. The bed in the room is excellent, as is the bathroom. A delicious, extensive and fresh breakfast in the cosy breakfast room is a treat every morning. The hotel is located in the centre, within walking distance of important locations and the train station. I will definitely be back.

We were greeted like old friends and there was even an enquiry about our friends who we travelled with last time. The hotel due to its historical nature and combination of four old town houses is a rabbit warren with lots of stairs. Fortunately a staff member brings your bags up. The best part is they collect them also. I’ve stayed in many hotels who insist of delivering your bags and leave you to struggle when checking out. ||The reception staff are always super helpful in many different languages. One day we made a mistake and left the do not disturb on our room and it was no trouble to provide us with clean towels. Each room is different but all are high quality. Our bathroom was well designed and the bedroom area comfortable and spacious (we had a deluxe double ). Breakfast was a highlight with beautiful baking items included. ||We can’t not recommend this hotel!!

The location is exceptional—a lovely pedestrian street in the center of town in a beautifully updated very old building. The staff is superior, especially Patricia and Anke! From the earliest communication when booking to our assistance at arrival, all through the stay, they were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. We loved our room “at the top” with a private terrace and beautiful views. It was nicely decorated, comfortable (great AC) and modern with a great bathroom and small kitchen. Be prepared to take lots of stairs! A perfect respite for a 5-day stay as a base for day trips to the Dolomites and a change from hotels for a couple traveling for a month. We also loved having an assigned private garage nearby!

Interesting stay at an 800 year old building that has been recently renovated. It was a fairly easy walk from the train station and located in a very central locale within the old part of the city. We had opted for a deluxe double room, which was quite large and had a private patio with a water feature. The room was very comfortable, although I found it a bit barren (only one small misplace piece of art in the room). The decor was in contrast to the rest of the building, which was beautifully decorated. It would have been helpful it we had received some instructions regarding some of the features of the room as it was not immediately apparent how to close the blinds (which were internal to the windows and had to be lowered via an unmarked switch). Otherwise it was a pleasant stay. We did not opt for the somewhat expensive breakfast as there were many nearby restaurants where you could get a simpler meal. We did have problems getting a taxi when we left as the woman working the desk was a little vague as to where we would be picked up and we were standing at the wrong intersection. Thus, we were delayed by about 45 minutes in being picked up, which was a little stressful.

One of the most charming and unique places we’ve ever stayed. Very cool, historic building. Walkable to markets and shops. Excellent breakfast. Staff was extremely helpful. Would happily stay here again!

Stayed for a couple of nights visiting a local friend. The room was very nicely decorated and had the necessary amenities such as a mini fridge, coffee/tea maker. Unfortunately, the A/C was broken the first night and it was a hot spring day. The staff managed to get a technician and get it fixed fairly quickly. The location is great as it's within walking distance of anything you need. I think they did a great job at making this place the best between a historic building and modern amenities with charm. The staff were nice and helpful Fair warning, there's a lot of stairs and they are unavoidable no matter which room you get.

A hotel in the heart of Bolzano. The hotel rooms are very beautiful and the air conditioning is very good. The staff is nice and helpful. You don't have to worry about the bags being brought to your room. This is because the hotel is designed as a group of buildings. In general, it is a beautiful hotel.
