What a wonderful stay we had at the Herzkammer in Zürich, a small hotel of just three rooms, but with a big heart, that offers VIP treatment, thanks to the two charming owners Petra and Rudolf, who will do anything they can to make your visit to Zürich a real success. The Herzkammer hotel has a lot going for it: great location, right in the heart of Zürich, on a quiet street, less than ten minutes’ walk from the main train station and near the Bahnhofstrasse and all the shops, restaurants, etc., everything is impeccably clean, well equipped, with good Wi-Fi connection, beautiful paintings on the walls, plus you get a delicious and very generous breakfast each morning, served in a warm and cozy breakfast room. ||||But the hosts themselves are really what makes this establishment such a good choice for your next (or first) visit to Zürich... they are extremely friendly and attentive, we loved our chats about art, culture, language and other topics with them over breakfast in the morning, and you can certainly count on them for tips that will make your stay all the more perfect. We were in Switzerland to celebrate our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, with Zürich being the last destination of our trip, and Petra and Rudolf marked the occasion with nice little treats that we truly appreciated… straight to the heart. (You may have noticed that I use the word heart quite a lot in this review. Well it’s simply because I think it is so appropriate to describe the Herzkammer and its hosts. And, by the way, you may or may not know this, but the «Herz» in «Herzkammer» means heart in German! I rest my case!)||||So, if you are looking for a quiet home away from home in Zürich, in a great location and offering top quality and personal service, rather than the anonymous heartless big hotel chains, the Herzkammer is the place of choice.||||Thank you so much to Petra and Rudolf for making our five-night stay in Zürich such a pleasant and memorable one. We will remember Zürich for the beauty of the city, of course, but also and perhaps even more for the warm and friendly welcome of our hosts at the Herzkammer. Vielen Dank, Frau Petra! Merci beaucoup, Monsieur Rudolf!
