Boutique hotel Huys van Steyns

We really enjoyed our stay in the Boutique hotel Huys van Steyns. The hotel is beautifully restored, and the room was very comfortable, with lovely decor, and modern features. The bed was perfect - large and comfortable. I especially appreciated the speed of the heaters, as we were there in January, the coldest month. This hotel must be stunning in the summer months. It is located very close to the city center - only a short walk away from all the museums and restaurants. My favorite thing was breakfast, which was served in a beautiful winter garden. The breakfasts were fabulous, with a large selections of everything you could wish for. Hot eggs, omlettes and bacon made fresh for each guest. Our hostess was very friendly and generous. It was a fabulous stay!

We simply can't say enough good things about this little GEM we found. The hospitality is truly second to none. So very friendly and caring. The ladies who prepare a delicious bfast...the one owner whom we met, Corné, went out of his way to make my birthday special. He helped with reservations and gave us ample advice on sightseeing etc. He is the kind of person, we can honestly say is a privilege to meet. Our room was super comfortable and gorgeous. The hotel is decorated with great style and a very short walk to all attractions. The neighborhood is quiet. We loved EVERYTHING about the time we spent there. Thank you, Corné and team for blessing us with your kindness. We will be back

Laurent was an amazing host. He was very welcoming and helpful. I was traveling for business and he accommodated an early breakfast. Not only was there all sorts of breads, baked goods, meats, cheeses but he offered to cook eggs and bacon as well. We loved that we could come and go with our own key. The town is so sweet with lots of shops and restaurants. There was a street fair and a weekly market. I highly recommend this hotel and town for any length of stay.

Fantastic hotel in the perfect location for a visit to Tongeren. Room was very comfortable and the sevice was first class. Great breakfast sets you up for a full day exploring all the treasures of the town. I recommend this hotel to everyone

Finding it was a little troublesome but when we did we were so glad we chose this wonderful establishment It is situated within a short 10 minute walk to the charming town Center. The breakfast staff were, like the breakfast, exceptional. The bedroom was wonderfully interesting appointed with bits and pieces of the cobblers trade as the house was once the house of a shoe manufacturer in Tongeren. I can’t recommend this hotel more highly.

What a Wonderful place! We liked the location, the building architecture and the room design. It’s not far from the main square and other places of interest. Great they have private parking provided just next to the house (with charger for my Tesla!). We chose to have breakfast as well, and it was really good (fresh eggs & lot's of fruit included!). Definitely in our top 3 stays (especially price-value). We can recommend 100%

A beautiful hotel with an interesting history in Tongeren, the oldest city in Belgium. An easy walk into the main square where there are plenty of good choices to have a drink &/or dinner.

Excellent intimate hotel in a central historic house. Rooms are huge, elegant, comfortable, well heated, clean and clear. Parking is included, coffee is free. Drinks (beer, wine, champagne and soft) are available for a very good price for customers to drink in the room. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they lent us glasses and dishes to eat our takeaway food, which they kindly reheated. All in all, it is a very good value for money and we definitely recommend it.
