Boutique Hotel La Maestranza

I take groups to Cuba every year and found this place a couple years ago, IT's fabulous, Ana and the staff are so friendly and accommodating. the accommodations are lovely and comfortable. It's a great deal. There is a new Italian restaurant next door that just opened a week ago and is fabulous, and well priced. The chef has been cooking Italian food for 15 years. I highly recommend this place. there are 6 rooms and they also have an apartment with 2 rooms upstairs, just acquired. The bar adds a convenience for a group to gather and have a drink before going to dinner. The internet is also a plus.

Excellent hotel, good breakfast, friendly staff, nice location in old Havana

The contact before arriving for booking the room, taxi's and excursions with Isabel was excellent. Everything was well prepared. Also host Anna was amazing. Such a lovely person to meet at the reception. She's very friendly and is very helpful to give good advise. The rooms were clean and spacious and the hostel is situated in the center of Old Havana.

Walkable into all havana vieja sites and museums. Spacious rooms. Good bathrooms with shower. Nice styling. |Corridor area has nice seating.||Ana and Robert were very helpful.|And unlike a lot of cases the WiFi worked all the time.||We had a lovely time there. The beds must be comfortable as the kids did a lot of sleeping there.

Pros: big room with air con, TV, nice bathroom with shower, towels and bathrobes all very clean and a very comfy, big bed.|Very nice, helpful staff (particularly Yomara and her husband Mario) and owner, able to give information and make suggestions and arrangements where needed. with several staff speaking good English. (although there are now apps to help with that!) It's in a quiet but central position to visit Old Havana.|Downside, the rooms have no access to the outside, windows opening just to the enclosed courtyard, which I think would not matter for 2-3 nights, but we stayed for 7, so found it a little oppressing at times. But, that was my fault for not reading all the reviews where it is mentioned. | However, it probably made us go out more, and we were happy to have mojitos at a cafe and watch the world wag past from there!|I would recommend that you bring Euros for some transactions, they are acceptable all over, and get Cuban pesos as well from the fair number of ATM's that are dotted around. This will save any misunderstandings with regard to rates of exchange.|We loved Old Havana and would have no hesitation in visiting again

Perfect hotel in the heart of the old town. The breakfast was huge and delicious. The staff were amazing and friendly.

My wife and I stayed here for 1 night on our last night in Havana. We had nice clean room, comfortable bed, good a/c and a powerful shower. Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s in a great location for exploring Havana, on the edge of Havana Vieja and minutes walk from the Malacon, cafes and restaurants. A great choice of Casa in Havana

This is a nice renovated 6 room house. AC in each room. Very attentive stuff. However I find $140 was a little too much for the room per night as sheets and towels wasn't very fresh. We stayed 3 days and our rooms were not cleaned once and no towels changed.
