Boutique-Hotel Wiehberg

Nice hotel with no reception or service from the staff. The room was large and clean and the breakfast in an other hotel nearby was very good. However during my staying it was warm weather and no air conditioning. The window was on the court so I had to choose between buring warm temperature or listening people talking all the night.

With around 18 rooms, Wiehberg hotel is a small cosy hotel with efficient service. The hotel is well connected with the Wiehberg stop just across the road and Bothemerstrasse stop just 5 min walk. The rooms are of good size facing the garden. The breakfast is typically continental with different types of breads, cheese, sausages, flavored curd, scrambled egg, fruit etc. Wifi is free of charge and quite fast. The exhibition ground is only 3 stops from the hotel. Also there is a direct tram going to train station

Unusual 'self-service' hotel concept actually works, and is not as strange as it seems. This is partly because you can stroll over to the Wienecke XI hotel, where they will assist you with regular reception/concierge service as if you were staying there. Wiehberg is good value and will often have rooms when the Wienecke is full. Not chic or luxurious, but perfectly doable for a short stay

I have been at this hotel for 2 nights for work. I would not go back and here is why:|- uncomfortable mattresses and pillows|- believe it or not there is no receptionist! I arrived at the hotel at 7pm and coould not enter (I actually had to phone the hotel from outside the door in order to get an access code)|- no reception obviously means no help whatsoever (kind of helpful when you are visiting a new town, either for pleasure or work)|- no ironing board or iron (also useful especially for business people)|- breakfast is included but not suitable for vegetarians or vegans (in fact, they do not even have vegetable milk options)|- location is very mediocre with limited dining options around|

Thid is a simple and cheap hotel. I evaluate it in this range. Clean, but the arrangement of the rooms is not so good. There is no water, to wireless. But near to the exibition area.

Very closed to the Agritechica exibition Room very big and comfortable, breakfast buffet with a very big choice of everything.

Awful hotel! The heating doesn't work and it was January, they rented out the room to another guest in the middle of our stay, they fail to send the bill for over a month now. Avoid this hotel! Would not recomend this to anyone!
