These famous mustard is originally from France, it is also known in Mexico, but only a few variations compared to what this boutique has to offer. Entering here was a feast of colors, flavors, and variations. Besides the samples their friendly staff gives if you want to try any mustard, the shop is beautiful, and you leave happy with your purchase. Just a tip: pack them well in the right suitcase if you're using an airport, as they can cause alarm because some of them contain honey 🫠. You definitely must visit the Malley boutique and leave with at least a few mustards.

Google
Classic custom-made mustard ceramic jars and different tasting flavors. I loved the truffle-based flavors; my favorite was the white truffle. The owner explained how to keep products fresh and when/how to use the products and how to pack and keep them safe when traveling and moving around. Very knowledgeable and kind- ask questions!

Google
Maille is a premium French brand founded in 1747, known for its gourmet mustards, vinegars, and condiments. With over 40 Dijon mustard varieties and elegant boutiques in Paris and beyond, Maille blends tradition with innovation. It’s globally distributed and celebrated for its refined flavors and royal heritage.

Google
Big disappointment regular bottle of mustard that's like 5 bucks in the store they want 8. A small container of specialty mustard anywhere from 60 to 80 dollars. Seriously

Google
Go and taste all of the mustards. It’s fun having so many unique flavors to distinguish from, and the store clerks are very helpful and knowledgeable about the brand. However, charging €100 a kilo for mustard seems pretty absurd to me.

Google
I was so excited to visit this store and I'm so glad I did! We got to try all the mustards before making a choice. Everything was delicious and it was a difficult decision! The staff is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions! Walked out with around $100 worth of mustard and pickles and I'm almost sad I didn't spend more!

Google
I visited Boutique Maille because my manager loved their selection of mustards. The person that helped me was very accommodating in answering my question since it was the first time that I’ve been there. The store itself was very easy to shop in. All the products were neatly shelved with all their labels facing straight. What was really great was you can choose different coloured reusable jars they would pour your choice of mustard from taps affixed on their counter, then they would seal the jar with a cork. Truly a great experience!

Google
There was a variety of mustards, you could try them all. I got two cute little jars , which they were able to engrave for me. Great as cute little gifts. Not cheap though. The 2 mustard jars with engraving cost me 90 euros!

Yelp
The most amazing mustards! A lot of unique choices. If you like mustard, you must try this place

Yelp
I recently visited and purchased the 'original' mustard in large container. When I returned home and opened I was dismayed and annoyed they did not fill the jar!! This cost about 53 euro and you have no way of seeing how full it is. They dispense from a fountain like spout and close it up;( I call this...fleecing of Americans!

Yelp
This is THE place to buy mustard! There are several types to consider and also several containers to choose from. This visit we bought back an empty, clean stoneware container from a previous trip and they were more than happy to refill it. If you are buying it and returning to another country, please remember to pack your Maille purchases in your checked luggage. Mustard is considered a liquid and cannot be taken as carry on. Don't worry though, the lovely staff will pack your purchases perfectly, with no worries about leaking etc. The shop also carries a nice selection of tea towels, sea salt and, if you wish, personalization of the jar stoppers Don't miss this place

Yelp
A great experience worth the trip!! So many unique and fresh flavors to try! Many different ways to bring a bit of Maille home available.

Yelp
Absolutely come here for all your mustard needs. I still have my jars ready to bring back to Paris just to refill with my faves. You can taste em all I believe again. Best to know each sausage snack cheese fruit veggie sauce you want to pair each mustard to of course. Lol. Haven't been post pandemic but my sister is gonna check in for me soon! And fill up those jars !

Yelp
I was first introduced to Maille mustard when I worked at Williams Sonoma. While I have always enjoyed mustard, it was mostly the American variety. After tasting Maille for the first time, I realized the error of my ways. The French know how to transform mustard into something ethereal. Adding some truffle, or walnut, or herbs serves to enhance the mustard and makes it a perfect accompaniment to just about anything. The Maille store in Paris has samples for every type of mustard they sell. It's almost overwhelming since there are dozens of different flavors. I especially enjoyed the truffle, vert, noisette, and herbs de Provence mustards. I would've spent hours here sampling mustards but my husband was impatient and dislikes mustard so he kept pushing me to make my purchases and move on. I was happy to also discover Maille sells truffle salt (6.5€/jar) at a steal! They also sell crocks for mustard which can be refilled. A good excuse to return to Paris! The SAs here are friendly and helpful. Interestingly the stand behind the counter and pretty much never leave that spot. Nonetheless I was able to find lots of goodies and plan on returning someday soon.

Yelp
one of my "must see" every time I return to Paris. A charming tiny shop packed with all my favorite things...one of which is the fresh mustard "on tap!" And in June, 2022, they had PINK Maille pottery pots to fill! Heaven. Mustards are considered liquids, so must be packed in checked luggage, and Maille does a good job of wrapping and boxing everything for travel. You do not have to worry about the mustard not being refrigerated...it will be fine if you purchase a day or two before leaving Paris. (I do refrigerate it once I return home, but a chef once told me that mustard "never goes bad." And, it never has!

Yelp
How can you not love a place that's been around for well over 100 years and sells mustard by draught?! Seriously, you can bring your old jar in and have it refilled for a price break. And they have so many creative flavors of mustard, of which you may sample any you like. We tried a bleu cheese one that definitely had a hint of horseradish as well. They have lovely vinegars also. If you are a connoisseur of mustard, you should not miss this stop!

Yelp
All of my mustard fantasies have come true! Mustard on tap! Come into this beautiful shop to sample not just the regular dijon mustard, but about 35 specialty flavors. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. If I could have taken more home with me I would have. Buy 4 small jars and it comes in a beautiful presentation box.

Yelp
I had heard about the mustard "on tap" at Maille and knew I would have to find time to stop by while I was in Paris and I'm glad I did. It's a small shop and practically every inch of it is covered in jars of different types of mustard, oils and vinegars. They have several sizes of each kind available as well as sampler packs which make a perfect gift for the food lover back home. At the front of the store are the three pumps where they dispense mustard into ceramic jars as well as a few other mustards that are out to sample. I picked up a jar of green peppercorn mustard, pistachio vinegar and got one of the small ceramic jars of white wine mustard which has a great spicy kick to it. The woman told me people come from all over the world and bring back their ceramic jars back to be refilled (at a discount). I hope to have the pleasure to do so someday.....next time I'll get the grainy mustard. It's amazing. One tip: make sure you're charged correctly. We had a little mix up which resulted in me paying almost 3x as much as I was supposed to. But mistakes happen and I should have paid closer attention....c'est la vie.

Yelp
Holy shit, this place is amazing. This is the gourmet mustard shop of any mustard lover's dreams. And I should mention that it comes on tap. You heard that right. MUSTARD. ON. TAP. For those that are very inexperienced with mustard, like myself, the staff at the counter is very helpful to discuss what intensity or flavors you are interested in. After deciding that the truffle was a bit too mild for us, we settle on the Chablis mustard. How did we know this? They have tastings right there for you. It is all very customer friendly. They also have two gigantic walls filled with flavor infused mustard that you can get lost in, if that's your type of thing. In addition to getting fantastic mustard for a relatively affordable price, we were told that our container is refillable upon return to the store, similar to how the American beer growler system works. That pushes it down to very affordable for the mustard lover. 9/10

Yelp
YES! Maille was a highlight of our trip to Paris - I mean, who taps a keg of mustard? Maille does! We brought home two crocks of mustard - the vin blanc and the black truffle. So worth the price and every time I use it, I get to think of Paris! YUM. Service was so friendly and amazingly helpful, with samples there too. Please stop in here - its the best mustard you will ever have!

Yelp
An absolute must in Paris! If you are about that Mustard life, like my Husband, this place is will make you feel like the king of condiments. You can sample almost everything and it seems like there are hundreds of flavors. Great selection of variety samplers. Our favourites were the Original and Balsamic--tre magnifique! The Mustardesses (a word for ladies dealing in mustard all day), were very nice and knowlegeable flavors and suitable accoutrements. Already re-upped online.

Yelp
Wow! If you're visiting from the States, please pick up a 100ml carafe of the fresh mustard on the counter. It will safely pass through in your carryon bag and through inspections. Just don't have them wrap it in the black paper. Security opened mine. So sad. But, it is worth the fuss! We purchased a carafe of Mustard in White Wine. It was HOT and delicate and delicious. You just want to eat it straight out of the bottle on your finger. Try it.

Yelp
The entire store is covered in shelves upon shelves of mustards and oils. My personal favorite: Honey Dijon w/ balsamic vinegar. (I brought several of those home) A little pricey if you're not a fan of mustard and condiments, but nonetheless Maille is a must! If all else fails, walk in and sample what they offer.

Yelp
A must-visit on my Paris food tour! The big draw for tourist is the fresh-pumped mustard that they sell in a ceramic crock. It's nice, but I like the smaller sizes. On my last trip, I picked up the balsamic vinegar and honey mustard and it's divine! The staff is pretty friendly. Make sure you queue up line to check out (it's the same line you stand in for the fresh-pumped mustard).

Yelp
I normally don't give five stars for things that are very expensive, but this place is totally worth it. They have several pre-packed mustards, or you can choose your own from the bar. We got two jars of mustard, the chablis and the grainy one (can't remember the name). They came in the ceramic crocks, and they poured the chablis directly from the spigot. The grainy one is too thick for the spigot, so she got me a crock that they had filled that morning. The staff knew we were traveling, so she packed each crock individually for the journey. Everything arrived safe and sound in our checked bags. Will definitely be bringing our crocks back for refills the next time we are in Paris. If you like mustard, be sure to check out this place.

Yelp
If you're in Paris and want a bottle of mustard, they have a mustard tap. Also about 300 other strange mustards. I dare you not to buy 3 bottles.
google avatar

Mimi B.

Yelp
Even if you're normally ambivalent about mustard, like I am, you must swing by the Maille boutique when you're in Paris and give the black truffle mustard on tap a try. It is simply amazing, generously mixed with bits of black truffle, with an intense flavor and aroma. It's definitely not cheap, but the small ceramic jars make great gifts for folks back home. Just make sure to get a big jar for yourself!

Yelp
Hm .. Mustard you think ... And then it's mustard at maille. Definitely a must try place , landed up buying a few for novelty. Don't think the flavors were too out of the world but the novelty of it all was more of a draw.

Yelp
Tourist trap. FYI: the Maille brand is available at the grocery store. This location charges an arm and a leg for a pot of mustard. It would be acceptable if prices were A BIT higher (the store is in the 8th with high running costs and offers some flavors that are unusual) but they recently upped their prices and they new ones are no longer A BIT higher; they are WAY too high!

Yelp
Amazing Artisan Mustard! The mustards from the pump are to die for. The Au Vin Blanc and Truffle mustards are a cant miss while in Paris. You can buy these and they give you a cool clay crock to store it in.

Yelp
Love love love! We first experienced Maille's horseradish mustard here in the States and we fell in love with it. We've used it for everything from salad dressings, to marinades to just dressing up some crusty bread. It is fantastic! So on a recent trip to Paris, we had to visit this boutique. They have probably 40+ varieties to choose from and we filled our basket with options we've never seen before. Parmesan & Basil, Herbes Fines (a new favorite), Hazelnut, Fig & Coriander, Citrus and Harissa pepper, the list just goes on! Note, true to French form, they don't usually offer samples, so come prepared to let your imagination be your taste buds. I'm just happy to see they sell their products online too! Joy!

Yelp
After walking around the Louvre we came across this gem on our way to the metro. Initially I thought what are those little bottles in the window? Mustard?! When I think of France I think of dijon mustard but I did not realize they take mustard to a whole another level here. This was mustard heaven. Pesto? Mushroom? Saffron? This place had so many variety of mustard it took us some time to check each one out. They also let you sample before purchasing which is nice because we did not know where to begin. My husband sampled a few to see what we would like. Not only do they have savory they even have seasonal sweet ones. They sold out of the olive but had a carrot and a beet one. Each flavor comes in two sizes. We opt to get the smaller size as gifts. If you are looking for a unique gift that says Paris, then mustard is the way to go. The staff is friendly and patient and very happy to help you out. They even wrap each mustard in a sleeve to ensure safe travels back to the states. Mustards range around 5 to 6 euros for the small size.

Yelp
Very poor customer service. Placed order a month ago. Emailed 3 times. Email address not valid. Called and spoke with someone who was suppose to get back to me with in 24 hours and never did. Called again and was told ORDER was shipped and would received in a few days. Over a week later still no package and delivery date keeps showing as being pushed back. Emailed telling them I no longer want my order. 5 days later received a call saying something went wrong with delivery and it won't be delivered but rather shipped back to them. This was a Christmas gift to boot.

Yelp
The mustard crocks filled from the tap are a great unique gift for that friend who's taking care of your house and pets. We've taken them back to the States a couple of times and haven't had a problem with leakage. As to which are the best flavors, just taste them yourself and make up your own mind.

Yelp
An adorable boutique dedicated to fabulous mustard! Very cool!

Yelp
Just go if you're a foodie ! I bought 2 of the ceramic/freshly filled jars and five little ones, and wished I'd bought more! If you can't find the time for some reason, at least rest assured that they're also sold at Duty Free (at least at Term 2), I think the Fauchon store. Fewer varieties of course -- a package of 4 or 5, and one or two larger jars, and packaging of the small jars a bit different. I'm a total convert to mustard now. Nothing like the American stuff. (I think Monsieur Marceau in LA may carry this brand, but definitely not the huge varieties you'd find at this store, and not the ceramic on tap mustards)

Yelp
I fell in love in Paris. Fortunately for my husband, it was with Maille mustard. Never in my life did I ever expect to say that my favorite part of my day in Paris was the amazing experience at this store. Customer service was beyond excellent. We looked like crap...it was over 90 degrees, we were hot, sweaty typical American tourists. We could tell this was a high end shop and hesitated to go in, but truly, they didn't blink. They treated us incredibly well, allowing us to sample, giving us little tastes of a great punch made with balsamic vinegar. And then the mustard. Ooh la la I just couldn't believe the flavors! It was a little pricy at 5-6 euros for small bottle, but truly, the mustards were outstanding. Tons of unique flavors, we bought 5 jars. The guy at the counter advised us that these needed to go in checked bags because they are just over the limit for carryon and people do have to surrender their mustard. DEVASTATING! They provided us with excellent packaging too. I see some great sandwiches in my future and plan to be buying online as a permanent customer :)

Anastasia M.

Yelp
Lovely boutique for mustard lovers in the "foodie" Place de la Madeleine. I bought a ceramic jar of truffle and chablis whine mustard. The taste is amazing as is the price: 20 euros for 100ml lol! Hey, I am don't go to Paris very often so I deserve a little special souvenir lol! Worth a go!
