I went with a friend and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were lovely, the rooms were comfortable and the hotel was interesting and quirky. Breakfast was excellent. We quickly found that we could get everywhere on the local tram and found interesting places to eat nearby.

We've booked this hotel for a concert in the Wiener Stadthalle, cause it is just 5 minutes by foot from the concert hall. They care about environmental protection and sustainability, so if you care about it too, I can recommend this hotel. The rooms are equipped with recycled materials in a very original way. Our room was clean and nice. We had a a very extensive and tasty breakfast with lots of bio products. You can also request a special breakfast in case of allergies, like e.g. gluten. All in all a highly recommended hotel in the center of Vienna, where we will for sure come back. Note that the hotel is taken over by the Cocoon hotel group since September 2025 and will be renovated in 2026.

Very nice hotel! Its staff is helpful and friendly. The hotel is easy to access by metro, train and tramway. I love that it is driven with the UN’s sustainable development goals at its core. The only minus is that the room was too hot, and this made it a bit difficult to sleep one night. It helped that we had a fan. Delicious breakfast also. This was my third stay there in eight years and I was pleased to see that the quality of the place and service not only hasn’t changed, it has actually improved!

Very nice hotel located just outside the center of Vienna. Underground station nearby (400m). Excellent breakfast. Nicely decorated. No fly screen! So you had too choose between sleeping in a hot room or taking the risk to get a room full of insects.

An absolutely brilliant hotel – the breakfast was exceptional, with everything tasting fresh, organic, and delicious. The room was comfortable and well-appointed. The location was also fantastic, with plenty of public transport options nearby, making it easy to get around. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The only small improvements I’d suggest are increasing the shower pressure and simplifying the light switches.

How is it possible that this is our second stay here and I have not yet reviewed this gem of a hotel in what is fast becoming one of our favorite cities? My daughter and I stayed here in November 2024 and then again last month (July) and next time we plan to be here again for so many reasons. The staff are welcoming, patient (especially with those of us who have just stepped off a red-eye) and ready to help with any questions you might have. The building itself is a total secret off the street. With it's quirky yet stylish decor (fully devoted to it's central concept of re- and up-cycling) and a spacious, peaceful courtyard, you can't help exhale just a little (again especially if you have just stepped off a red eye!) when you see it. But the real superstar here (and our daughter would put this at the top of her list) is their amazing breakfast, included in the cost of the room. The bread bar has probably about seven different kinds of bread, and little baskets provided so you can make up your own. Everything from savory to sweet is laid out to ensure even the person who never eats breakfast will be lining up to sample (and that is figuratively since the layout means no one is ever lining up, even in the busiest times). And ALL the tea. One evening we enjoyed a glass of wine (and some hot chocolate for the under-18 member) in the courtyard which was actually cheaper and perfect after a day of exploring the Museum Quarter. Located two blocks from a tram stop and about five minutes from the nearest U-Bahn stop (Orange Line - Schweglerstrasse) it's easy to get out and explore the city . . . but with Boutiquehotel Stadthalle as your base, perhaps you'll want to stick closer to home?

Wonderful stay! Boutiquehotel Stadthalle pleasantly surprised us in every way. The staff were exceptionally kind, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile. The hotel's location is ideal – quiet, yet close to the city center and public transport, which made exploring Vienna very convenient. The hotel was beautifully clean and cozy, the rooms felt very comfortable and were tastefully furnished. But the highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast – a rich selection of fresh, delicious, and healthy food that can satisfy everyone. We truly felt welcome here and would love to return someday.

Yelp
I saved my 100th review for something special. And my trip to Vienna gave me a good reason to write this review. I have been in this hotel for a few times now. I guess the fact that I keep on returning speaks for itself. I love the whole eco and green concept, I love the organic and delicious breakfasts. I love the attentive and helpful staff. I love the garden and the lavender on the roof and...basically everywhere :-) It was sunny this time so I could sit in the garden in the evening enjoying herbal tea and after breakfast enjoying the sun. The staff always helps me when I need, they keep my luggage in a special room when I leave the town in the evening. So far I've been to both parts of the hotel, the old and the new. I prefer the old one though. The rooms are more spacious, the furniture is more classic and antique-ish. I like that they use their lavender products in shower. I like to buy the product made of their lavender as gifts - syrup, soap, bath melts, chocolate....hmmm. If you're into eco and green, this is a perfect place for you. If you arrive by a bicycle or a train you get a special discount. You can park your bicycle downstairs. They use solar energy, they save water...you name it. They were the first eco-friendly hotel in Vienna. I don't like posh hotels, I like smaller ones with a family atmosphere and an original concept. So this one is just perfect for me. I never knew I could love a hotel. Well.... :-) It's only two stops by a tram to the railway station, or you can walk if it's nice outside. If you get a room with a garden view, you easily forget you're in the middle of a busy city. The neighbourhood isn't posh, but hey, I'm no Sissi anyway.
