Whilst the location is better for people passing through or catching a train, the hotel itself is a real gem. Smart rooms with quality beds and textiles. The sustainable efforts are truly impressive and more than meets the eye. Service is friendly and always available. We had a good time here.

Pretty good location. The sustainability element is nice, however there are several key elements that are missing for a hotel that charges over 250 euros per night: 1. Pillows in the room are old and flat, you can’t use them to elevate your head. 2. While the breakfast is nice, it mostly consistent of many types of bread. Some pastries, and other forms of protein would’ve been appreciate. 3. There is no coffee and tea in the room. If you want that, you have to pay extra. For the price of the hotel, having tea and coffe in the room seems obvious. 4. There is no separate hand soap, shampoo, and they don’t have or offer conditioner. For how much this hotel cost, this should be included. The view from the windows are nice, the bed is comfortable, and the pressure in the shower is good.

A Very Warm Recommendation for Boutiquehotel Stadthalle in Vienna! The hotel’s motto is environmental awareness and sustainability, and this concept is evident in every detail — from the furniture and décor to the food, the rooms, and the overall atmosphere. The hotel itself is charming, and the location is excellent: within 200 meters you’ll find the U3 metro line, several tram lines (9, 49, 18 and more), as well as bus connections. But the true highlight is the service — especially the staff. Every team member, without exception, is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help with any question or request. Above all stands Lucas, who was exceptionally kind, attentive, and personable. He easily engages guests in conversation and really gets to know them. Our room was very comfortable, including the bed, and there was !Breakfast was specially good plenty of closet space for all our luggage. If I had to mention one small drawback, I would have appreciated a slightly larger shower. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended.

Great experience. Very helpful staff. Beautiful design great breakfast. The only drawback are the toilet and shower that could use more privacy. Other than that perfect. Planning to stay there on my next visit

We've booked this hotel for a concert in the Wiener Stadthalle, cause it is just 5 minutes by foot from the concert hall. They care about environmental protection and sustainability, so if you care about it too, I can recommend this hotel. The rooms are equipped with recycled materials in a very original way. Our room was clean and nice. We had a a very extensive and tasty breakfast with lots of bio products. You can also request a special breakfast in case of allergies, like e.g. gluten. All in all a highly recommended hotel in the center of Vienna, where we will for sure come back. Note that the hotel is taken over by the Cocoon hotel group since September 2025 and will be renovated in 2026.

I went with a friend and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff were lovely, the rooms were comfortable and the hotel was interesting and quirky. Breakfast was excellent. We quickly found that we could get everywhere on the local tram and found interesting places to eat nearby.

Only hotel that I have ever been into that I needed to ask for a refund and check out how terrible it is. Rooms are small, claustrophobic and dirty. Bathroom is like in a boat and sink is leaking, When I report it nobody repaired it they put a towel on it. Also there is no soap in the bathroom. There is no heating in the room and you cannot turn it on. Bed is crazy soft and you fall down into it, you will have sore back for sure. Avoid this hotel since 145 euros per night can give you 10 times better experience in Vienna.

Yelp
I saved my 100th review for something special. And my trip to Vienna gave me a good reason to write this review. I have been in this hotel for a few times now. I guess the fact that I keep on returning speaks for itself. I love the whole eco and green concept, I love the organic and delicious breakfasts. I love the attentive and helpful staff. I love the garden and the lavender on the roof and...basically everywhere :-) It was sunny this time so I could sit in the garden in the evening enjoying herbal tea and after breakfast enjoying the sun. The staff always helps me when I need, they keep my luggage in a special room when I leave the town in the evening. So far I've been to both parts of the hotel, the old and the new. I prefer the old one though. The rooms are more spacious, the furniture is more classic and antique-ish. I like that they use their lavender products in shower. I like to buy the product made of their lavender as gifts - syrup, soap, bath melts, chocolate....hmmm. If you're into eco and green, this is a perfect place for you. If you arrive by a bicycle or a train you get a special discount. You can park your bicycle downstairs. They use solar energy, they save water...you name it. They were the first eco-friendly hotel in Vienna. I don't like posh hotels, I like smaller ones with a family atmosphere and an original concept. So this one is just perfect for me. I never knew I could love a hotel. Well.... :-) It's only two stops by a tram to the railway station, or you can walk if it's nice outside. If you get a room with a garden view, you easily forget you're in the middle of a busy city. The neighbourhood isn't posh, but hey, I'm no Sissi anyway.

Yelp
I enjoyed everything about this place, great breakfast, comfy bed, and its closeness to the trains.
